i hope one day they will i think with Baldwins legal troubles they decided not to renew. i can see this show has a daily half hour gameshow in the mornings
@@frankieboombatz1266 perhaps with a different host, who can do impressions like Gene did (who can forget Count Dracula or Old Man Periwinkle?). Also RIP Kirstie Alley.
Oh yes, back in the 70s some of those men and women were absolutely clueless and really shouldn’t have been on TV but it was TV gold when they were on TV being clueless and giving answer so absurd the audience with boo them out of the soundstage.
Frank, you are one of my most favourite contestants on this show ever - tied with Evie Phineas from many years ago. Good luck to all your future endeavours.
When I was there they told us that the company that made the original orange carpet was contacted to recreate it again for this version. It was a company in Italy Also that was the original mic just rewired to be wireless....
I really wished that this show was still on the air even tho Alec Baldwin is dealing with some troubles now, but I still feel like it wasn't his fault that's my opinion on that story, but he made this show very entertaining and I really enjoyed watching this show. The comedic chops on this show was by far the best on TV ever and I really loved all the celebrities that were on the show I really wished that they brought back this show because it makes not just great TV, but it's extremely funny I put it up there as the funniest show next to Family Feud with Steve Harvey.
My favorite part : 40:43 - Kirstie, I'm sending you to detention if you don't shut the (bleep) up A.k.a. - Kirstie, I'm sending you to detention if you don't shut the f*** up
The producers did a great job of bringing the vibe of the old 70's Match Game but I never got into Alec Baldwin as the host. He was ok, but a show this quirky needed an actual stand up comedian, not an actor who can do comedy. But they had a good run. I hope they bring it back again! Like TPIR it's a traditional US show that should always be on TV!
When people mention Match Game 7?, the first person comes to mind was the original host, Gene Rayburn. Then I think of Charles Nelson Riley, Brett Somers, Richard Dawson, and the incredible Betty White.
it should of never been canceled it was one of the good remakes. I think they were worried about what was going to happen with Alec with the incident with the movie. Hopefully they will bring it back one day....
Almost everything he says is on the teleprompter. We even have to say our intros the right way to set him up for the joke. Very little he says is off script.
This is my single biggest complaint about the Baldwin Match Game. You are absolutely, 100% correct. The banter with the celebs (at the beginning of each of the two games) is obviously scripted, as are the one-liners he says when we meet the contestants. Plus, the new think music ends cold, which seems wrong to me. I don't fault Alec for doing this. I actually think he did a really good job. I just believe he's a lot more comfortable with scripted material, because 99% of what he does is scripted. The one major irritant with Alec is always being the center of attention at the end of the game, and turning his back on the contestants... you do NOT do that!
Though, it is hilarious when the contestants give stupid answers, I really like when both contestants are smart with their answers, and you and Jessica were.
We were also lucky the celebrities on our show also tried to give real answers and not go for the joke. I watch some of these celebrity guest on game shows and get so made when they try to go for the laugh instead of the match.
That's because the stupid ass producers tell the contestants to be energetic like as if that's what people want to see. No. It's just annoying as hell. That's why I pretty much stopped watching the price is right. Every person thinks they have to scream and jump around like a mental patient Also why does the audience have to applaud every 10 seconds. This whole show is nothing but screaming and applauding
@@HecklesTheClown I totally agree but being there in that set and the theme song and cues was awesome. I could only imagine what it was like back in the day
The whole point of the 70s Match Game was to come up with the funniest euphemisms for the naughty words to get around the strict censors of the day. In this version, they're just straight out vulgar and its cringe-worthy and not funny.
its alot different at home then when you are actually there. plus this was in 2019 when everything on the news was about a cover up. I went with what popped in my head first lolol I still had fun and won $5000
This game show needs to make a comeback on ABC

I think because of Alec’s legal troubles they should make someone else like Ricki Lake host it and not have canceled the program
Game show network is showing it starting on September 17th
I liked it better when the contestants were quiet, brain-dead people who always began their biographies with, "Well, I'm married ..."

@@DarthDesolous Yeah, these days, the contestants are too "TV Savvy," It's not fun.
@@fododude I agree.
Of course, people actually prefer that, which just means they're not very fun people themselves.
I miss this show! I really wish that it would come back
With a new host they really should. They really did a great job with this remake and it was so much fun being there.
@@frankieboombatz1266I personally nominate Joel McHale.
The slightly delayed judges response at 6:54 as Brooklyn started explaining her wrong answer was comedic gold.

Thank you I been on 4 gameshows and this and Price Is right are my top favorites
Congrats Frank
I do like that they used the original music and recreated the original set. Alec is no Gene Rayburn.

You were so much fun to watch on this episode. ❤😂
Thank You.. I been on four game shows this one was a lot of fun..
I didn't know that Kristie ally even was a constant on the original match game
On that show she said she was an interior designer and did not express any interest in becoming an actress.
That was back when she was still human, ya'no, before she was "famous".
She was also a contestant on Password Plus.
ABC should being this back as "Match Game PM!" And we need a new daily syndicated version, both with the star wheel.
Yes!

You seem really enthusiastic in this video! What did you do with all that $5,000 you won? It’s like a question 😂
I'm happy that Frank shared this, and hopefully he is still in good enough health that he doesn't need a cardiologist....😅
Yes I'm in great health Three years after this I won 2 motorcycles on Lets Make A Deal and Was just as excited lol
0:00 Similar to the 1973-82 version
Better to watch the originals on UA-cam. The real Match Game and its host was far superior.
Alec Baldwin is reading off from a teleprompter! I prefer spontaneous like the old shows!

So are all the late night talk shows.
Is Match Game still around?
After watching this I hope it's dead & buried.
No unfortunately
Got canceled but it wasn’t due to the incident with Baldwin
Nope. They brought back shows like Pyramid (hosted by Michael Strahan), Gong Show, and this but the return of the classic game shows didn't last.
So it’s okay to say “penis” on Match Game now? I can remember when Marcia Wallace was censored for saying “Genitalia” on the 70s version.
That "slow reveal" on the Super Match answers is just horrible. Everyone in that room hates it.
I think Frank is definitely" on "something .He's high as a kite.
