I'm getting a p0706 and my prnd12 only lights certain gears sometimes, never lights park, doesn't light 2 until I go into 1 and yeah you get the picture. What do you think? Valve body and solenoid or just solenoid? I do still have to check voltage off the switch at the ecu to make sure it's not just the computer
Also, be sure to check the body control module as it controls every electrical component in the truck. It is located on the back of the fuse box underneath the hood on the left on the driver side.
It’s really hard to determine if it’s actually a bad gear in the transmission but if you’re getting the error code that you have a bad transmission control module, I would definitely replace it.
You can find them brand new from Mopar online, but that is the most expensive way and I recommend a trustworthy seller on eBay or at your local junkyard. It is much cheaper and just as reliable. 👍

It is a 50-50 chance but it is possible that it needs a new side plate on The valve body. If you don’t want to order just decide play you can order the entire valve body like I did. But remember this is a 50-50 chance that it will fix your particular problem. Whatever you choose I wish you the best of luck my friend. ✌️👍
Did not think i would get a response, i call for part but they are asking if its a deep or shallow pan. Was thinking of doing n oil change. It's calling for shift selinoid (C) . Or am I wasting my time on oil and filter change
You’re not wasting your time. You can check by your Vin number and call the dealer and they will tell you if it’s a shallow or deep pan they should tell you that for free. Mine was a deep pan. It’s really not that hard of a job. You just have to have patience and believe in yourself. 👍

My truck says bad tcm and won't reverse but all other gears are good

@@vandiverb Your Welcome
Hi I have 06 Dodge Dakota and all bolts are out on valve body but won’t come down.
Did you make sure that you unplugged the wiring harness that plugs into the valve body? If that is not unplugged it will not come down.
Yes the parking rod is stuck
Thank you for the update I hope that you got it all fixed?
Well I haven’t got valve body out yet because of the rod. I tried everything
mine aint coming down as well everything is loose do you know a tip?
Did you have to reset computer
No, no need to reset the computer. Only to clear the obd2 codes with a regular scanner.
