I like this host. He's enthusiastic without being loud or extra. You can tell he's really enjoying himself and not faking his reactions. Nice smile too!
Hey HTH, thanks. My channel is a bit random. Sometimes, I think I'm covering too many different topics, but I can't help myself. I'm glad that you I can share my experiences with you. Looking forward to talking to you again.
For those who want to check out the shaved ice place, its called ひみつ堂 (himitsudo kakigori), one of the best kakigori places around. Definitely worth the wait.
Thank you for a pleasant video. I really enjoyed it!😊 I'm excited to go there. Arigato gozaimasu. The old man who just walked pass in front of the camera, was sweet☺️
Hi Michelle, thanks for kind words. I actually have a few videos about food in Tokyo. Check out this playlist of my Tokyo Food Videos - ua-cam.com/play/PLcpuu5BzmasDPpV0q_D0PTA-YCJBylbcN.html Talk to you again on another video.
Hey, I recently stumbled upon your videos and I have to say, they're some of the best street food vids I've seen! Even though the food does look good, I'd be really curious if you could do a video on vegetarian street food, if there is such a thing? I went to Japan for the first time last year and I'm planning to go again next year, but I noticed I wasn't getting a very balanced diet because I was eating mainly sweet foods. There were a few spots that had veggie options, but it would be really cool to maybe learn about some Japanese food that is innately vegetarian :) Keep up the good work!
Honestly, you should also make videos that highlight good places for non-japanese food because all of this gets boring after like 3 or 4 days. It all tastes the same everywhere, no matter what city or street you are in. I had literally bookmarked many of the places you've featured in your videos but ditched the idea eventually.
I lived 1 minute from Yanaka Ginza, it’s a lovely little place, with lots of friendly people. It’s a shame you didn’t wait in line at ひみつ堂, it is really, really good shaved ice, unlike any I’ve ever had anywhere else! Photogenic as well :) There is also a great 和菓子 store in Yanaka Ginza, but it is really hidden, so easy to overlook.
I'm horrible at waiting in lines... Just my personality I guess. I recently went to a shaved ice place in Roppongi called Yelo. Was my favorite of all time. Check it out if you can. ua-cam.com/video/aGxc--46jCU/v-deo.htmlm55s
PAOLO DE GUZMAN ARE YOU FILIPINO? IT SEEMS YOU ARE ? I AM FILIPINO TOO. WHEN WE GO TO TOKYO CAN WE MEET WITH YOU? WE WILL BE IN UENO FROM JULY 5 TO 11? IT IS OUR FIRST TIME IN TOKYO? I WAS TRYING TO FOLLOW THE LOCATIONS YOU ARE SUGGESTING BUT IT LOOKS FAR FROM UENO? WE MIGHT GET LOST IF WE TAKE THE SUBWAY. WE HAVE A KEISEI SKYLINER & TOKYO SUBWAY TICKET FOR 72 HOURS BUT I CANT SEEM TO FIND THESE LOCATIONS?
Hey i interest in japan i like the culture . But the destination from india to japan is too long .and i fear from going too long .i want to eat all the things that you eat .when one day allah give me power to travel too long from home then i will go to japan one day this my dream 😭
I am on a quest to watch all the videos on your Channel. I started with your most recent video (uploaded this past Saturday 2019) and am watching in reverse chronological order. It is AMAZING and a true testament to you and Maiko how consistent the quality of your productions are. The most recent videos are definitely more sleek than the earlier ones but the core content and the infectious positivity you and Maiko have for discovering Japan is rock solid.
Hi... I'm your new subscriber.... Loved your videos... just a little suggestion/request..... could you please lower down on that background music volume.... would really appreciate that.... It'll have a much soothing effect on ears I believe....
After I went to Japan for the first time in 2019 (I already watched a lot of videos back then), I can finally manage to go again next month, after so many tries failed because of Japanese border policies. This time, I want to focus a bit more on the smaller things, so I try to watch most of your videos again in preparation! :) An idea for a nice addition to your website would be an interactive map (of Japan/Tokyo), in which you mark all your videos according to areas. Thank you, Maiko (and Wolfy:) so much for your helpful and entertaining videos!
Hi Paolo. I enjoy watching your videos. I always learn something from every video. However, can you show us ways to places for people using wheelchairs? That would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
This bums me out! Last time I was in Tokyo, it was just a two-day layover... and I WASTED the time. I did not have anyone to show me all these cool places; waddya say... "friends"? I'll buy the beer :)
YOUr channel is great and the videos are high quality along with being informative and laid back just feels like you cruised through the video and didn't realise you spent 7 minutes I almost feel like I'm present there (weird description lol)
I went here just yesterday and it was fantastic, but word of mouth must've gone out because it was FILLED with tourists and was hard to move around. Still the atmosphere was TOP-NOTCH and would love to visit again on a quieter day! Also I'm so happy you got to try out the same takoyaki place like I did!
How much is a yukata? do you know anywhere to buy it second hand/used/cheaper? we just want to use it in Japan to take photos with, but we don't want to rent because we want to wear it in multiple cities. thanks
I’ve watched this video several times before but now I find myself re-watching a lot of your videos as I prepare myself for a trip my wife and I are taking next month to Tokyo. Really looking forward to it. I’m curious to know if this area is easy to find? We’ll be staying in Shibuya. This just seems like a cool laid back area to chill, meet great people and eat great food. 😁👍🏽
Hello Paolo! I love your channel . Incredible work. May I ask what are reasonable prices for Yukata? We are looking to pick some up when we go to Japan in April!! Love
Thanks ZimmySOL! I think a reasonable starting price for Yukutas would be around 3000 yen and for the Obi starting at about 2000 yen....but the sky is the limit after that. good luck.
Thanks Paul. If you're going to Tokyo as well, I've made some city guides recently. Check it out - ua-cam.com/play/PLcpuu5BzmasBKAILAe6tAEg-EHKETJjU6.html

Hey HTH, thanks. My channel is a bit random. Sometimes, I think I'm covering too many different topics, but I can't help myself. I'm glad that you I can share my experiences with you. Looking forward to talking to you again.

around 1600 the shopowners used to put saucers of milk out for the local cats. No more cats, huh?
This guy sure likes his fried food LOL. loving these videos! super helpful :)
I lived there. Atomic bakery made a hook and sticker so I could leash my dog when I went into the shop.
We are heading to Tokyo in November for 4 days and I cannot WAIT!!!

Will you correct it?
mmm nothing like hot balls (takoyaki) on a hot day.
For those of you who do not know shiso is a Japanese herb that is similar to mint.

You look so hot sweating soo much need more beer now!
Very nice content!
Hey wontondestructxn, thanks. I appreciate the positive feedback!
The best? Really? You’ve eaten all the street food in all of Tokyo to compare, contrast and reach this conclusion? That’s impressive.

Every time he goes “Mmmgh!!!” It sounds like he’s pooping. It’s off putting. Is this supposed to be comic relief?
This bums me out! Last time I was in Tokyo, it was just a two-day layover... and I WASTED the time.

Great video! What's the movie on the blue poster at 6:27 in the background at the 7-11? I want to watch it!

Thanks for sharing this video. By the looks of it, the selection is not too great. And it's grossly overpriced. I'll stick with Tsukiji.
How much was the yukata?

Ginza is a chic place , isn't it ?
Yeah, it is confusing. Ginza and Yanaka Ginza are 2 different places. Ginza is known for high class brands and shopping.
Thanks for sharing!
