Hey Chris!!!! Thanks for saying hello yesterday. Was awesome to meet you. If you don't mind, please post the photo on facebook and @paolofromtokyoofficial Thanks!
This is my hometown favourite shopping street. My fave place to eat at with mom is at Ginza Hall. A Chinese / Japanese diner that goes back many many many years. Whenever I’m there for lunch I have their fried rice. The chef likes to shout when he cooks. So don’t be scared. For the Yakitori stand at the beginning of the street I usually order the chicken cartilage. Often riding the bike to do shopping here. My mom and grandmother have been going here since the 50’s . Sadly it’s not as busy back 20 years ago when Jusco opened up (now Aeon) and some other malls opened nearby . So it’s always nostalgic whenever I come here to shop for fish or takeout / flowers.
My husband and I will be visiting Japan in September. Thank you so much for your videos, we're definitely big foodies. So we look forward to trying these places out! So far planning our trip has been a bit overwhelming. But your videos have helped quite a bit!
I really love all your food- videos. 😍 You look so happy when you' re trying the food and I' m getting hungry every time. It' s cool that you show cheap places too, specially for youg people like me. I' m half Japanese but living in Switzerland. Your Videos are one of the best food and travel guide and inspiration I can imagine.
So cool to watch you again with Maiko 🌸 It's always fun and I particularly enjoy this video of old school Tokyo 🌻 I loooove Tokyo but you know It now 😁 Please have a great Saturday night 🌃
Love how you show the non touristy side of Tokyo, I'll be heading there next month on my 3rd trip. Looking to try something different this time by going to places you've suggested in your videos. I've noticed most of these areas don't have English. Would it be difficult to get around/ordering food for someone that doesn't speak japanese?
Hey Paolo, I really think that you and your wife need to have your own traveling food show. You have such a great personality and you two work really well together on screen.
great video Paolo, really enjoyed it. I just finished a trip in Japan and the food was absolutely amazing. One thing though, I can never find a good healthy, balanced meal in Japan. Street/ fast food is abundant but you can never find healthy alternatives on the streets....
He also said that it's frowned upon because it signifies poor upbringing, or something to that extent. But he's talking into a camera, so it shows that he's doing it for media.
Love to see your expression every time you bite into something good. Makes me smile every time! I hope you didn’t eat all that food in one day! That is so much food!!!
Your videos ar so helpful. My GF and I are going to Japan in literally 4 days (we leave from Florida on Tuesday at like 7am or so). My friends want me to try eel bc Ive never had it..so...when in Rome. Definitely gonna try to hit up Unakuri 5
God morning from Sweden! Lovley wakeup call before breakfast. So deliscious everything seems to bee. I'm now hungry. Thank you for this video. Good job. It's so interesting to learn about japanese street food. All the best! 👍
Wish Sweden had a bigger street food tradition, or even street markets would be nice. Even the Christmas markets only have stuff nobody needs, but at least glog is nice.
Paolo, you my friend are making my planing of my autumn Japan trip difficult. How am I supposed to visit all of these places and eat all of this delicious food in just a couple of days I have in Tokyo?!?! Impossible!
Really love your top 10 street foods to eat. Can you also do top 10 to eat on Kurushio Fish Market and Hakodate Asaichi Morning Market? I'm planning to visit those two places on my next vacation to Japan ^~^.
I actually had the luck of eating seafood Tempura(octo&fish),ramen, tonkatsu& some salmon in Japanese style & god they were delicious specially the tonkatsu in India ,I hope one day I can come in Japan
Hi there Paolo, can you tell me if in some of those places they offer vegan options? From the places you went, it seems like only the mochi had no animal based products in it...

He also said that it's frowned upon because it signifies poor upbringing, or something to that extent. But he's talking into a camera, so it shows that he's doing it for media.
