"Gimme a name!"
"Weren't your parents supposed to do that?"
Hit me like a gut punch 😂
The realization of the goofy face had me dying for 5 minutes 😂😂😂😂
the way he was slyly looking at her @ 15:06!!LOL!!!!
_"Hi, that's Phil Hartman. You may remember him from such voices as 'Troy McClure' and 'Lionel Hutz' in The Simpsons, and such films as Jingle All The Way, Greedy, and such shows as Saturday Night Live, and NewsRadio."_
Man I love Greedy. Such a fun movie
He was also the voices of Mr. Wilson, Henry Mitchell and Ruff on Dennis The Menace.
And Jiji the black cat in "Kiki's Delivery Service."
NewsRadio was amazing!
He was a Sassy man
An unappreciated parody. One of my personal favorites.
Me too, i have it on dvd
Mine too. I haven't seen this in a minute.
I forgot how funny this movie was. An overlooked classic.
I agree on both accounts. Love this movie.
love all these youtube channels who keep saying _first time_ lol liars
Oh. My GOD!
He's been making that face at you for YEARS and then he shows you what movie its from! Husband level trolling is now over 9000! I had to stop the video because IM laughing way too hard at that!!!!
Holy moly, you two are awesome!
The realization of the facial expression has me in tears.
14:55 - "Is that where you get that face from?"
I DECLARE YOU WINNER OF THE INTERNET FOR THE YEAR 2021
"It's Phil Hartman"
"A comedian?"
Oh you poor summer child.
RIP Phil...
"News Radio" is one of my all-time favorite T.V. series. Phil was genius in that. It couldn't recover from his death, though Lovitz gave it a great try.
Anally retentive chef.
Poor Air Conditioner...
RIP
I still miss Phil so much!
"She must have caught herself by surprise...." The look and line are the best!
That John McClane cameo nearly killed me the first time I saw it, absolutely brilliant stuff.
My favourite part as well.
"Wwwwwilderness girls." will never not be funny.
Twoop leader says we are not meeting our kwohhhhhhta.
@@deedee5491 Oh man, I think I broke something when I heard that.
(haven't seen this flick is a LONG time. will definitely have to revisit it.)
Wwwhere is ze microfilm?
Why that movie isn't considered as a classic is beyond me, I've watched it dozens of times and each time I find something new to laugh at.
It also shows that Samuel L. Jackson should have done more comedies.
The "you'll be fine" followed by closing the body bag cracks me up every single time
When I was like 11, I had trading cards from this movie, and for some reason I carried one of Tim Curry dressed as the girl scout around in my cloth Billabong wallet for months. So yeah, I peaked early in life.
I feel jealous, .. and now a little disappointed in myself.
Fuck, I had no idea there were trading cards for this! I totally would've bought some! Some people got all the luck!
"my cloth Billabong wallet" Thats some real old school cool right there.
Were you meeting your qu-ota?
"That's some Harry Potter level shit right there!"
I was thinking more Dr. Who...
Me too
I was thinking of Sirius Black's house large on inside small on outside along with Dr.Who
"Do you sleep in the nude?"
"Only when im naked."
This movie is so funny, I've been quoting it for years.
Kathy Ireland! My favorite model from the 90s!
You got to check out Johnny Dangerously . Has Michael Keaton
Such a funny movie!
And then Oscar. Another mob comedy, but with Sylvester Stallone. :)
"Come on lucky shelf paper..." is one of my most frequently quoted lines ever, weirdly.
Yes. Its so Funny.
Farking icehole
Man, the budget for cameos on this movie was insane!
Well, it wasn't just the budget. Back then, National Lampoon was an institute that delivered solid comedies. All of the best ones were from them. But later on it all went downhill for them with mediocre and bad movies.
@@SuddenReal The Vacation remake is decent.
@@SuddenReal It started to go downhill after Van Wilder, they tried to milk the hell out of college comedies, much like American Pie, and failed horribly, again much like American Pie.
These was really great, when hollywood was magic! :3
I was thinking that when Scotty popped up
I had the hugest crush on Kathy Ireland for years, and one of the most unfortunate things ever was that sadly, she couldn't act for shit. 😔
That didn't stop me from watching every movie she was in, mind you, which was only like 4 or 5.
The only other decent movie she did was 'Unnecessary Roughness'.
I saw this back in 93 and had a huge crush on Kathy Ireland.
@17:00: both captor & hostage: "Drop the gun!!!"
I remembered William Shatner, but somehow completely forgot that Jimmy Doohan had a cameo as well!! Lol 🤣🖖
That sideeye glance before he slowly turned his head at the Sam Jackson 'Face' Hahahaha im ded.
Been a Tim Curry fan since he played Pennywise the evil clown in the 1990 TV miniseries of Stephen King's 'It'.
One of his BEST performances!
Since Rocky Horror for me 😉
It's a shame what happened to him. :(
I had forgotten that Colt had a TARDIS.
"Drop the gun!"
"I don't have one."
Slides gun to him
"Pick up the gun."
Picks up the gun
"DROP the gun!"
If you like silly and Tim Curry, watch Oscar staring Sylvester Stallone.
I remember liking that movie
That's one of my favorites
no no don't watch that
I just finished a comment saying the same. Great acting, script, directing, set and costume. Very enjoyable ride.
@@tempsitch5632 which movie has great acting and directing?
This is by far the best spoof movie ever made imo. Almost every single scene has jokes that land consistently over and over and over it's so damn good!
Once I saw y'all were watching Lethal Weapon, I knew this day was on the horizon and happy it's finally here! 😂
You should have waited until after Lethal Weapon 3 before you watched this one.
Yeah, it think the bulk of the references are on Lethal Weapon 2, with something from 1 of course and something from 3.
But it's a spoof of the genre too, in that it's similar to the Naked Gun.
@@TheMule71 The dog obsession and the comparing scars/injuries scene was from 3, the straightjacket gag, the caravan on the beach being shot, meeting Becker in the hotel, the toilet scene and Luger shooting the bad guy was from 2, and the "Cigarette!" scream in the office was from 1. I'm sure there were many others.
@@markrobinson9394 Well there's a dog (Sam) in LW2 too, here's Sam in the shooting on the beach scene, ua-cam.com/video/i-_NL_GjAss/v-deo.html
I'm going to take it as read, then, you've seen "Rocky Horror" being a Tim Curry fan? And if not...you need to do the time warp... again.
Oh, I LOOOOOVE me some Rocky Horror!
"It's just a jump to the left..."
😉
Cheers,
Emily
@@JustSUMMReactions get the toast!
Every time I see Tim Curry in a movie I'm reminded of this "Tell me what movie you first saw Tim Curry in and I'll tell you what kind of person you are" meme
@@JustSUMMReactions have you seen "Oscar"(1991) aswell ? Tim Curry plays a very different but good part in that too.
I love Tim Curry in It!
I like the Charlie Sheen/ Sam Jackson exchange. "Got anything larger?" "Yeah." and the whole Hot Shots jab is great too. nothing tops John McClane though.
Swear, I can watch this every time and laugh like crazy every single time.
Loated Weapon 1 is my FAVE comedy EVER!
Subscribing and watching again. Everybody needs to watch it... Again, so many jokes 2nd, 3rd, 4th time around.
Best Lethal Weapon parody ever!!!
There's a TV show you guys would love called "Sledge Hammer" which ran from '86 to '88 (2 seasons). The title character is a Dirty Harry type of cop with a female partner. The show is a little over the top but not outlandish like this film.
Btw, that was Oscar winning actor F. Murray Abraham playing Hannibal Lecter. He won the award for playing Antonio Salieri in "Amadeus".
The character 'Sledge Hammer' catchphrase: "Trust me...I know what I'm doing." Plus always talking to his gun. 😆
God, I haven't seen this movie in years. Yet I still quote it regularly.
"Did you ever watch a show called 'Night Court'?"
Bull was the best character on that show.
Matthew's stifled laughs to gags he probably knows inside out makes this reaction ten times funnier. I totally forgot the Mr Potato Head gag and it's follow up. Oh man... Funny AF.
Note to myself for future videos: Don't drink chocolate milk while watching Emily react to a silly, little movie with puns.
"It's much bigger than it looks from the outside!"
Gotta love this TARDIS camper or any Doctor Who/Harry Potter reference!
Now you've got to watch Spice World and some Doctor Who!
Gosh what a brilliant gem!
Glad you liked it!
Also a ref to lethal weapon
YEAH!!! WOO!!!! This is in my top 3 of 5 of 10 of all time greatest comedies! Thank you both for doing this movie! Rest in Power, Phil Hartman!
"Rest in power"? I don't get that reference :/
Just chiming in to say that I watch a LOT of react channels, but yours is BY FAR the most fun! Thanks for making me smile guys 😀
The only recent spoof movie that comes immediately to mind is Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. And oh boy is that so well worth a hilarious watch.
It took me by surprise how funny that was. I watched it after TALLADEGA NIGHTS which disappointed me, so it was a welcome surprise.
@@Theomite What?! T Nights is amazing.
A surprisingly good recent spoof, in a mockumentary style, was *Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping* (its kind of a modern day *Spinal Tap* which is also a must watch, if haven't yet)
@@GangstaStan010 I didn't say it was bad, I just said that I found it disappointing. The "Baby Jesus" grace scene was hysterical but most of the other gags weren't as crazy or funny. I was expecting something as good as ANCHORMAN so perhaps my standards were too high.
I highly recommend watching the directors cut. I bought the DVD shortly after seeing Walk The Line. Knew nothing about it but truly loved it. I don't know if being a NASCAR influenced me but absolutely loved Talladega Nights.
7:49 It took me a while to recognize Bull from Night Court.
He has HAIR.
Look for him in the camp-horror House from 1985. Not the TV one with the grouchy ahole doctor.
"Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me."
Love the shirt Emily!
She aims to misbehave.
Scotty was the highlight for me.
Check out The Three Musketeers - Tim Curry, Charlie Sheen
Tim Curry does excellently convey malevolence.
Don't forget Oliver Platt and Kiefer Sutherland. I was pleasently surprised when I bought this ( on VHS when it came out ). Another one that came out about the same time is Tall Tales with Patrick Swayze.
Saw this movie a ziilion years ago at a pool party. I hardly remember it, just realised the totally awesome Tim Curry was the "girl" selling cookies.
Man I actually remember seeing this in theatres with my father and thinking how funny it was. Glad to know I wasn't alone:). Now I feel old hah.
I just noticed the "Browncoat" shirt. Firefly/Serenity are treasures.
And that hot sax, perfect for unmotivated, butt in the moonbeam walks...
I luv how every time the movie clip stops, you see a huge Link
"Do you sleep in the nude?"
"Only when I'm naked."
And 15:22 earned you guys another subscriber and another user of the notification bell! :) Loving you guys' reactions. :)
"Pick up the gun!...Drop the Gun, Mr Luger!"
"Shoot him!! Shoot him!! Shoot him!!" (Starts freaking out 'back n forth' hysterically with gun in both hands) Both guys yell: "Drop the gun!!!" 😆
Fave unshown line:
Colt - "Luger, you came!"
Luger_"That's personal."
I know I say it a lot, but Gold Dang, I sure do-diddley-dooddley-doddley, love Em's laugh. Been going through a really rough patch, and these really do make me smile. You guys mean a lot to me.
Y'all had me laughing so hard my dogs had to make sure daddy was okay.
One of the funniest movies I've ever seen! So glad you reacted to it.
Been discovering lots of movies I havent seen Like "Top Secret" and 'Hot Shots" through your videos. Really appreciate the content =)
Tim Curry, the man is pure gold. A reason to watch any film!
OMG... Night Court. Such an underated show.
I really hope you guys do UHF. I love the channel so much you both are great.
Loaded Weapon 1 is not just another spoof comedy. It's THE another spoof comedy.
There are many ZAZ clones, but this one 100% succeeds.
I had completely forgotten about this movie. I used to love it as a kid
Kathy Ireland did i come at the wrong time ??
Me thinking what Matt's thinking: Nope!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another great underrated comedy y'all should check out is Necessary Roughness, also co-starring Kathy Ireland.
Kathy with a K.
That movie is The Replacement's great uncle.
She was better than carmen electria in every parody movie she's in like scary movies, date movie epic movie, disaster movie
Em & M at the Movies is how I refer to these reactions.
This is awesome!
This is my favorite comedy. It’s just the absolute best
Sunday's always depress me... but thanks to you I can end my sundays on a good note...
Just 1 word : ..... freaking loved it !!! ( lol)
Instant thumbs up - didn't even watch your react yet.
With every reaction vid you post my appreciation for your hubby's taste in comedy just keeps growing 🤩
Love the Browncoat shirt. Shiny!
Clue is the best comedy movie ever made. That's the best sidetrack.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is one of my favorites of all time when it comes to comedies. You both are getting better and better and better. Love your channel
In the vein of "Clue", I'd like to suggest the 1976 Robert Moore comedy "Murder By Death".
You guys should do "Last Action Hero".
If you love TIm Curry as much as it looked like... PLEASE watch Clue....
Oh and do Spy Hard..pleaseeeeeee
She said at the end that she's already seen it.
Your love for Tim Curry is VERY relatable
This movie is soooo slept on. It’s hilarious
Its Sunday night I have your reaction it's great now I can sleep. Keep it up. Emily as always you are great, and Matthew love to watch you try to keep it together.
It's the first movie you've watched I had not seen before, I don't know how I missed it but thanks I needed the laugh!
Truly, I never was a fan of this one. But after watching it with you two, I had forgotten all the cameos. Major nostalgia. I so need to watch this again.
Hey, what a wonderful excuse to do episodes of "Newsradio!"
Spy Hard
Wrongfully Accused
Also good spoofs
Great reaction as always guys
My 5 year daughter loves it when I do my "wilderness girls" impression. Haven't seen this movie in at least 10 years but that part I can't get out of my head.
This is one of my favorite movies as a kid. It wasn't until I got older and watched a lot of the movies being spoofed before I got half the gags from this movie. My favorite joke always was;
Police-- Do you know General Morters?
Destiny--Well I do drive a Buick.
Police--No, hun, General Mor-ters.
The "Face" Epic!
18:54: One of my favourite visual gags ever, and I was always surprised they never used it in 'The Naked Gun' first - you could really see Frank Drebin and Jane doing that. Anyway, loved this reaction to this sadly forgotten film!
I actually own this movie on vhs so I'm gunna watch it and then watch this .
The cop in the straight jacket was the late Ken Ober. He was probably best remembered as the host of MTV's game show Remote Control.
Awesome.. I mean shiny, Browncoat t-shirt! Best t-shirt in the verse
A stone cold classic that I forgot about. Cheers for reminder. It was cool to see the difference between 2 people who have both seen and not seen it. It makes watching it again much more enjoyable.
This is one of the last really good National Lampoon movies before they all kinda went downhill. We watched this twice on the bus to my senior trip in high school, which tells you how lenient schools were back in 1996 lol.
Wayne's World at the end! 😂
I love you guys. You have no idea how happy it makes me to hang with you two
This is absolutely one of my favorites & the cameo count was crazy! They just don't make them like this any more!!
Oh man! Great reactions. So glad you guys watched this after Lethal Weapon. LOL! This is a fantastic film. I love your channel. 😊
Oh my god! I was crossing my fingers you’d get to this one day but here we are now and I’m so excited to see the reactions. I love Loaded Weapon 1
