Hi Tim doing a great job. Yes life gets in the way of projects. Keep posting videos mate they are very handy. I am just about to order floor pans and front chassis rails. Let the journey begin. From Australia.
@@goingundersground Hi Tim this will be my first welding job. I have watched lots of Karl Fisher make it custom he shows you in great detail welding metal fabrication using hand tools only as well as machines. This will be a massive project for me but I look forward to the journey.I have done resto work on my 1976 holden Kingswood Station wagon which I drive around in. Always liked the Morris Minor my dad had a Morris. Keep the videos coming. I am now practicing welding in my shed trying to learn the art form.
Nice to see the Morris again. As one well familiar with stalled projects I hope progress progresses over the coming months! I recently managed to get the body shell of my '59 Tourer sandblasted and put into Epoxy Primer. Now that the Traveller is (mostly) finished as far as I'll take it I'll be working on that. I'll be doing the paint work myself as a professional job isn't just very expensive (+- $8,000 with little to no body repair needed) it's unattainable where I live as the shops only do smash work.
Hi Tim, you touched a bit on electrics, will you stay with original lights or will you update for more modern items? I have previously made an LED version of the 53- series II tail lights with integrated amber indicators. It replaces the lens, after removing only the bulb socket. A set I sold, ua-cam.com/video/OBAZWBuPSuY/v-deo.html I believe I have enough parts left to make one other set.
Hi - Many thanks for the comment; I've not yet decided what to do with the lights; if its unobtrusive, LED makes sense I think, but I have already got the lamp bases and lens units, so I was hoping just to replace the bulbs. Researching this is on my list of things to do.
@@goingundersground UA-cam won't allow outside links, but if you check on the MMO forums topic 12417 titled "LED Lights, Interest?" you can see what I made.
Fantastic work you are doing. Jim from Australia. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Putting stuff back on is more nerve wracking than taking stuff off...

Thanks Scott good luck. Are you an experienced welder? I learned crude welding on my car - fun but not pretty!

Many thanks Peter, for me it's rustproofing next, then some brakes. Good luck with the Tourer.
thank you
