Spring Ducks at a Local Pond---10 Species!

The number of species that stop at this small pond near my home is amazing! Ten species filmed over 2 days. This is a long, narrow pond so even when the ducks try to "hide" in the brush, they seem pretty close. Male ducks are usually quite decorative compared to the females who are more drab. The females still have their subtle beauty. Arguably the prettiest duck in North America is the Wood Duck.
