Hey guys, thanks for watching this video. I really appreciate it, but I have something to mention. I see there’s a few of you guys who want to talk about my guess and who I choose to interview and I have something important to tell you guys if you are not truly tapped in to my channel, which means not if you’re not keeping up with the announcements, I post on my community polls or my latest video. Please do not get upset when you see me in your city, and I didn’t film with someone you wanted me to film with whether that be you or your friend it’s a few of you guys who barely comment on my channel. Perhaps you know who I am and is happy I’m in your town. That is great but just keep that same energy all I’m saying is if you’re not Tapped into this community. Please don’t get upset when I overlook your invitation. I really just wanna work with people who be watching me or people come across that I feel qualified to show me what I want to see. I realize that some of you guys have some grievances but my priority is always going to be to the people who have been actively watching and engaging with me. These are the people that keep me going if you don’t really be tapping in or even comments, I’m not going to take you seriously.

I am staying in Frankfurt now as a base and taking short trips. Near the main train station is pretty grimmey, especially after dark. Every place else is safe. The Christmas markets are covered with police. The trains are heavily inspected with police or inspectors..
I always enjoy my time in Europe and can't wait to come back. The food and transportation are very affordable. Everything else depends on what level you choose to do it at.
I have a few days left. I've been to several cities in Germany on this trip including France and Luxembourg. Anyone can do it.

Numerous videos from international youtubers depicting Frankfurt as some kind of poverty ridden crime capitol have popped up lately in my feed (I'm from the Frankfurt area).. I don't really no why. The drug use is mainly limited to the red light district and that's really small compared to other european cities spanning maybe only two or three blocks . While it's sketchy at night it's not like you walk through there fearing for your life. It's almost like your guide amongst other people actually want to see it in a worse light than it actually is for there own reasons while likely living off wellfare. Germany is a wellfare state in the middle of the EU. It's not exactly the grinding poverty you'd maybe see in Chicago, Detroit or Kingston/Jamaica...

Living off welfare ? What a cheap shot. No body wants to put Frankfurt in bad light.Ita fact that you love DRUGS & ALCOHOL. A friend of mine told me once there is German national in every Latin American jail . By the way I have worked with Germans in Alaska and they were all pot heada who can't function with out poisoning them selves. So, don't blame people your failure to lead a clean life.

Facts. Frankfurt just has that dystopian "big city" vibe in an area that's otherwise medieval small towns, pittoresque landscapes and ancient castles. That contrast makes people wanna see it as worse than it is. Just a bloated up village with big towers. In the villages around are sometimes stranger people. Here it looks like the more rural, the more of the people are on drugs. The lack of spirit and social coherence is the real problem and why people do drugs and commit crime.

The river is called Main, that's why the city's full name is Frankfurt am Main. The Thames you will find in London. Also a nice city which has its problems, I know both. Frankfurt isn't all that bad, it's just the area around the central station mainly, it's small but intense. But yeah no gang shootings like US cities, more like junkies fighting among each other often, and also prostitution which is legal though in the brothels and drug dealing on the streets.

If other cities took their responsibility to help their addicts instead of denying the problems happening Frankfurt wouldn't be flooded with junkies, dealers, prostitutes and UA-camrs. Germany should take a look at the Dutch drugs policy, to see that repressions never works and how a real liberal approach (not to the point of clean needles and injectingrooms but even free heroin/methadon for the most helpless people) will actually reduces the number of addicts and chaos on the street.

People who live there are either rich and only go to special places or poor and can't afford much. It's relatively unsafe compared with other German cities, but due to surveillance the criminals also avoid the streets. Most big crime takes place in those towers, not on the streets. On a bad weather day people stay inside their apartment and on a sunny day they go to some park, not on the streets. The missing pedestrians are made up for by the many cars on the streets and the always full public transport. With the tall towers the city really looks bigger than it is. Some of the outskirts still look like medieval villages between forests and fields.

the reason why frankfurt is considered the most criminal city in germany is because of the airport, which is not only germany's but europe's largest.every crime from there is reported and tried in frankfurt, which makes the statistics extremely high.it's not that you're not safe.if you behave yourself, everything is fine.if you're loud, they'll shut you up here. It's just a big city with many beautiful and also ugly places like many others.in general it has become more unsafe in germany or we have enormous increases in crime in certain areas.this is due to the wrong kind of integration.lock all foreigners in one part of town and wonder why no integration takes place.no matter what comes,I love this country and wish everyone peace.

So as someone who loves Frankfurt and come there often the drug videos are never my favorite and they make it seem like the whole city is this way. The fact of the matter is you can see people doing drugs near the train station and a few blocks around, that is true and very common. But if you get away from that area and into the city it’s so much more and it’s lots of great energy and attractions, restaurants and more to be enjoyed safely and without homeless or drug attics at every turn.
It’s motivating me to make some videos myself because I find waaayyy too much beauty and amazing spots and enjoy so many festivals and all that in a very safe environment with no worries.
Coming from Washington DC and having lived in Hawaii for a few years as well. I saw just a s many junkies in Hawaii if not more and the homeless in Hawaii and dc was wayyyy more than Frankfurt and both are great places. I say the main take away is come to Frankfurt just don’t stick around the train station and get out and enjoy the city from the alt Stadt to nord end and bockenheim, Opern Platz and more.

I was stopped by the Polezie and asked for my ID. I showed them my retiree ID card and they looked at it like it was fake and demanded to see my passport which was back at my hotel. I had to wait till they called the hotel to verify I was a guest and that they held a copy of my passport. Regarding "being a Black guy in Frankfurt": Frankfurt is the most multicultural city in Germany.
Since the US Forces had many barracks in the area after WWII, there are many Black Germans, born to Black American members of the US Forces and white German mothers.
So you will find many German-Black US descendant people in this area, as well as a huge Eritrean and Ethiopian community, Ghanaians, Nigerians and recent immigrants from other African countries, including Berbers and Arabs from North Africa.

      @whawha9016 Місяць тому

@mr-x0305 I'm a born and raised Berliner, so I know a thing or two.
Berlin isn't nearly as multicultural as Frankfurt and the whole Rhein-Main Area. In Frankfurt already in the 1980s it was very common to see (in the working class) mixed cliques of Black Germans, white Germans, Kurds, Turks, Italians, North Africans all getting along.
Berlin has lots of expats and immigrants, but they are not integrated into one community, but rather live each in their own community, pretty separate in their private lives.
In Berlin: Indians chill with Indians, Arabs with Arabs, Turkish with Turkish, Africans with Africans, East Berliners with East Berliners, West Berliners with West Berliners etcetera.
In Frankfurt (working class); white German chills with Black Germans chills with Kurdish chills with Moroccans chills with Ghanaian chills with Sicilians and so on

31:15 Not really! The previous currency, the Deutsche Mark, was actually more stable than the Euro and one of the highest rated currencies in the world next to USD, Swiss Francs and Japanese Yen.
Many Germans want the Deutsche Mark back, because the EUR is influenced by low performing Southern and Eastern European economies, who have recently joined the European Union, countries like Bulgaria.
The reason why Germany is rich: being industrious and innovative is in the Germans nature. They are very pedantic and exact in the way they research and design things. Look up the huge amount of innovations that have originated in Germany. Whenever you have a field of industry that the Germans are involved in, you will typicallly find that their products are the best, due to being the most thought-through: Automotive, aviation, audio engineering ... you name it.
Generally speaking, the same mentality, that makes them industrious, also makes them kind of boring to be around sometimes, since they find it hard to let loose and just relax. They are very prefrontal persons (the smarter ones at least), so very rational and controlled in their expressions!

Interesting and on point observation. However I think Made in Germany is not what it used to be any more. The quality and ingenuity has decreased and dependency on global supply chains increased. Made in China with German lable. Sad reality. That's also why this place only has the nimbus of being rich, but is really poor. We are still perceived as rich because the government is throwing money away and giving handouts, also there is obviously still a lot of economy going on, not that much production, but exactly this makes us poorer than we think. Enslaved of our everyday jobs and disunited as a society. Frankfurt always used to be a rich business hub where the law is made by criminals as this man said, but it also always used to be an intellectual place and a working class industrial place. The old native working class was sourced out to China, lost their job, went extinct, whatever. Bigbrain intellectuals avoid places with many sketchy people. In the end certain groups take over whole neighborhoods. I'm from around Frankfurt and can tell you this area lost it's virtue and spirit. That's a bigger problem than the crime as such. It's the origin of why many people need drugs to cope with life these days.

@@ikehayes9252 It's a similar development in the western world everywhere. Places that used to be very productive suffer more when the economy changes to mere consumerism. Other places that were never really developed suffer less depression and perceived dystopia during bad times.
Frankfurt and the area around it, as well as other regions of Germany with industrial history such as Berlin or the Ruhr valley basically have the same problems as American regions such as California, New York or the rust belt, just on a much smaller scale. Extreme capitalism, immigration, rapidly shifting economic environments, and all the problems that come from it. In more Southern regions of Germany like Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg the industry seems to suffer slightly less. Interestingly these countries were still more peasantly and backwards until East German industries moved there after WWII to avoid communist collectivization. So in these two Southern German states the industry is overall younger, but somehow doing better and they are the last really rich countries in Germany. The North is run down. The East is run down. Hesse gets more run down by the day, but still makes money. Berlin is a burden and takes out more than it contributes in terms of taxes, pretty unusual for the capital of a country. That should say something about modern German economic landscape and problems.
At least Germany still has some fields where we are unrivaled and irreplaceable in the global supply chain. Whoever in the world wants digitalization must want for Zeiss to keep producing their magic mirrors.

People forget that drug dealers and drug users don’t just spawn. It’s the way German society is built. It’s not open to everyone. And many people fall through the cracks. There’s about 70 years of completely backwards social policies at play here that have resulted in places like Berlin and Frankfurt

Brother, the more developed the city, the more obvious the dirty business becomes.

The fact you can get profiled and get charged for addressing it is insane . The cop already has set in his mind what he is going to do when he sees you, and they know they have the favor on their side, Smh abuse of power. That would mentally impact a foreigner to not come back, unless that’s the objective all along.

No, actually, that's no racial profiling. Officer did what he had to do.
Officers are well aware that, as unfortunate as it is, black people like to do crime.
Why you don't see white people get checked? Because we don't do stupid shit.
So, since he was where he was he should've seen it coming.
I was "racially profiled" as well because I'm from Balkans so German unexperienced cops like to think every Balkan person drinks alcohol. It didn't make me hate German cops, all I knew, they just got out of academy.

What are you talking about? I lived in Frankfurt around 2000. The "most dangerous part of the City" was my daily walk to work. Even back then the area was full of drug users and prostitutes. People told me, it was much worse before the new police chief was working. So no, it is not worse now. It is the same as 20 years ago, only fentanyl is new to the scene there.
