Everyone I have seen who has complained has the white version. I have the black version and I like the coating. It feels somewhat textured and does not feel slippery. In fact it is one of my least slippery mice and I have around 45 mice. The Black unit also weights 2 grams less. I would see if they will let you swap it for a black unit.
Apparently the bolt is uncoated and therefore there should be no difference between models. Fresh reviews mentioned how his black bolt is very slippery so I think that confirms it. I sanded the sides and buttons of mine with some 600 grit sandpaper and the grip is much better but that's not an acceptable solution of course. Not the end of the world-- you can just get some grip tape. Still unfortunate though
@@yetanothermousereview I’m thinking of doing the same since coating is very important to my sweaty hands. If the mouse is uncoated, wouldn’t this solution be simply sanding down some of the plastic without making a meaningful difference like it would when sanding down a coating applied to a mouse? If it does make a big difference, how is the sanded feeling compared to the feeling of coatings from other mice (like mx1r, zowie, superlight, or anything else)?
Just got my pre-order. The good: shape is fantastic, skates are fantastic. I actually don’t mind the coating, but I can see how it could bother some people. The bad: my mouse one and two have a ridiculous amount of rattle, and the side buttons are the least responsive, worst feeling buttons I’ve ever used.
@@grant5864 maybe I will, I was frankly shocked how bad it was and was just gonna return it, but if it’s possible to get a better copy I’d like to because it might be my favorite shape
@@lemon7503 I actually really like the side buttons on my copy, and I have zero rattle on mouse 1 and 2 buttons. I would RMA your unit if you have that issue, and if you don't like the coating, see if they will let you return it for the black unit. I have not seen a single person complain having a black unit. They seem very will to fix any issues that people are having. I love my copy and it is now one of my top 3 favorite wireless mice.
I got lucky with my m1 and M2 but my lord what were they thinking with these side buttons...prob gonna sell it just because of how bsd those side buttons are.
My left Button rattles like hell and has a ton of wobbleband pre travel. Shipping lasts 5 days. Great. Shipping back und afterwards the shipping of the New mouse would be overall nearly 2 weeks. No thanks. Iam off.
Was thinking about picking up this mouse because it seems like it would suit claw grip like my current mouse the endgame xm1. I was skeptical though because the coating seems similar to the razer viper which I hate because like you said it becomes slippery with sweat. I guess I'll wait for the endgame xm1 wireless.
Hey man if you want to fix your coating issue i have a really easy fix, you take the green side of a sponge and you scrub it everywhere for a few minutes, the coating will go away and the mouse will be way better, hope it helps.
I have used the mz1, xm1, prime mini wireless and GPWsupelight ( current ) before. I claw grip and have 19-10 hands, do you think that the Bolt is going to be a great option?
How similar Bolt vs Roccat Burst??
Ugh, that coating has me really worried. I got the white version on preorder as well... :( Maybe I should swap to the black?

Compare to Viper mini which has the better sensor and click latency?
same click latency, sensor is effectively the same except for the LOD which is much lower.
Ehh think I’ll keep my Superlight until the xm1 wireless one was hoping this one was worth the upgrade

yeah i sanded my bolt with some 400 - 600 grit and no that's not an acceptable fix for an $80 mouse

if the coating won't bother you then I think the shape is great. I personally prefer the xm1r though
how heavy is the xm1?
new iems?
yep, tanchjim ola, actually quite a fan of them. very similar to the timeless with less bass and less treble
@@yetanothermousereview nice!
been using xm1r for a month and ive pb in every aim trainer xd
