Kaguya just changed everything. Love is War, the best romcom anime, just released an hour-long masterpiece episode that delivered more hype than any anime in 2022. A Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 4 release date is unknown, but they announced production of another Kaguya anime. It could be an OVA or a movie, but I think it's probably Season 4.
If you haven't read the manga you might not believe this, but Miko Iino is actually best girl. Even if you read the manga and still disagree, just trust me, I'm correct.

I thought that i was not the type for romance at all, i only watched for the narrator and comedy but i became greatly invested and in the finale ii had the same reaction
I'm so sad that the manga is ending. This adaptation has been nothing less than a full course meal every week. It's easily in my top 2 series

you could always read the manga unless you want to wait until the new season. I suggest you start at 138 because that's where the anime stopped midway. 138 is where the new season will start.
This is by far the longest romcom anime I’ve watched and read. And I have to say Aka Akasaka is fuckin’ brilliant not only did he make a rom com series into a psychological war comedy but he’s also incorporated so much pop culture references that both the anime and manga is update with the world... it’s that little touch of world building to this seemingly crazy and fun series that makes it also feel so grounded, and this man has definitely continued it in his new title “Oshi no Ko” which takes a more serious tone than “Love is war”
Yeah not many manga or anime incorporate modern culture and technology as well as Aka Akasaka. Made the story 10x more relatable than any other story out there.
i think the problem with making so much pop culture references is that it dates the anime really hard, like imagine in 10 years recommending kaguya to a 18 year old, he wouldn't get most if not all of those references
@@ycaro002 I agree it’s one of those shows that grows with its audience and that’s a special feeling for us as the “audience of it’s time,” it’s not a timeless classic like other shows, it’s a live in the moment type of show. Hopefully in 10 years there’ll be another work similar to love is war that grows with it’s audience as it did with us

@@daandevos122 the difference between these two is that monogari is mostly about references to japanese folklore but kaguya-sama is more about current trends, also I'm not saying it's necessarily bad because of it, I loved reading kaguya while growing up, but it dates a lot when rereading after 4 years
The fact that two teenagers holding heart balloons and kissing each other on a roof is now a moment I hold in the same regards as Goku first turning into Super Saiyan, Ichigo first using Bankai, Sage Naruto showing up to fight Pain, Luffy declaring war on the World Government, and Rei-san, Otona, and Kururu helping Keiichi with his Lucky Sukebe Lure in the backroom of the manga cafe they work at is a testament to this series. Everything said here allowed me to relive the catharsis of watching this series for the first time!

3 Seasons for a kiss is honestly so much kinder and quicker then the older romance/comedy shows. Like you had to paddle through so much filler in fear of missing something important. If you want a random anime so you can suffer through how bad rom coms can be than watch Bladedance of Elementalers. Yes I watched all the eps and it was pain. It makes watching anything else feel like a fresh air.

there 2 anime episodes this year that have amazing build up that makes them phenomenal , one kaguya sama confession , second is 86 shin meeting lena , those 2 ep have stucked with me as one of the greatest 🤩

It really is one of the greatest anime of all time. The amount of work and detail that is on display in every single second of every episode is mind-blowing. They give us so much it's almost a shame that we can take it for granted. I loved the fact that the final episode laid out the reasons neither of them felt they could confess first, it made sense for each of them. I feel totally fulfilled!
For me Kaguya is head and shoulders above every other anime this year.

I just went to read again some chapters and now watching your video I just got the "STILL ROCK HARD" the face Iino makes after he says that is so good and I agree with almost everything you said this mangá is so perfect, Aka Akasaka is always surprising us, tricking and playing everyone. Chapter 220 is just the perfect example of him tricking us 3 times in a roll and at the end you just feel amazing

Kaguya is by far the greatest rom-com anime. Every character was amazing and had incredible chemistry with each other, not just the main leads and the romantic development never felt cheap or unsatisfying. Not even the last arc is the manga, it just pales in comparrison to what came beforehand. The writing and comedy are top-notch as well.

After watching this episode I realized that Kaguya-Sama is definitely one of the best romcom anime and I even considered (and still am considering) adding to my top 10. I also cried tears of joy at the kiss scene
After finishing this season, Love is War has set a new standard for me. Easily sneaks into my top 3 and if the next season is just as good, it might just become top 2 or top 1. Rom coms wish they could be in the same level as this anime. The greatest rom com of all time, and by a massive lead.

Back here after I got to finish season 3. I totally agree. It's an easy 10/10 and is definitely one of my favourites next to Re:Zero, Steins;Gate and Mushoku Tensei. Every opening was an absolute banger. Each episode made me either laugh, cry, feel like falling in love or all of the aforementioned. I love this anime and I couldn't have hoped for a better climax of season 3. Can't wait to see what the future of Kaguya has for us.
One of my favorite series, very sad that the manga is about to end. If you haven't read it I recommend Oshi no Ko, it's by the same author of Kaguya and it's very good (also just confirmed anime)
Oh my, just finished the just now and this gotta be in my top 5 anime of all time. I can’t express how awesome this anime was and how every episode was different and unique in their own ways. After watching this anime this anime takes first place in my romcom list and oregairu takes second. This anime kept me entertained and excited, always was laughing every episode and the ending was just perfect. Definitely can’t wait for season 4

I just completely adore this anime and echidnut really explained why this anime is a 10/10 in the most explanatory way possible and I have nothing else to add this guy said what we all wanted to say and made a video on it. But still to add something the animation the art style, the sound tracks, the side characters and the main characters they all completely blend with each other and A1 studios has done a perfect job with the pacing and animation. There's actually nothing you can hate about this anime. for now i'll just wait for another season and I really hope this doesn't go downhill but he also said the manga also handles the story perfectly from here I'll just have to trust his word. I hope to see the after story and how kaguya and shirogane relationship progresses from here

Two things:
1. I recommend anyone who hasn't to read the manga from chapter 1, because they skipped over A LOT of chapters, including some of my favorites. They nailed the confession, but the manga really is a different experience.
2. Echidnut, what is your Top 5? Now I'm curious cuz you mentioned it. I'm guessing Re:Zero, Mushoku Tensei, and Kaguya-sama are on there.

Kaguya-sama was truly incredible. I was indeed expecting something completely out of this world for this final episode, but Miyuki Shirogane... Miyuki Shirogane made even me, an straight man fall in love with him. The single biggest romantic of all times. It simply blew my mind off. I'm in a state of total extasy. I'm in the clouds. And I'll be here for quite some time trying to digest what I've just seen. History was made right before my eyes. It was simply incredible. One of the most incredible piece of entertainment, no, of ART I've ever seen in my entire life.

Kaguya-sama is my *favorite* Rom Com (as a manga reader) since both Rom and Com elements are satisfying for me. The comedy definitely stands out in particular. Shirogane is my fav and Kaguya close second. Together my OTP. lol

When I originally saw this video a week ago I knew that just from the title I would have to watch it. From episode one I was hooked. I am so happy I chose to watch the full anime before watching this video, it was a great experience! Thanks for such a strong recommendation. I never would've watched it otherwise

while the chika dance goes hard, i actually think the ending in season 3 episode 5 goes even harder and that entire episode would be my favorite easily if i didnt already know how great this last episode would be. the manga continues to be impeccable, but this is by far the peak moment that they built up so well by building it for so long. i used to be between this and school rumble as my favorite anime overall, but this last season has solidified it as the best anime of all time.

Man literally tried to compare a dumpster fire ( domestic girlfriend) to Kaguya Sama . Even though the twist in domestic girlfriend was spicy enough to catch more and more readers but kaguya sama is way ahead of it with a very simple plot and better characters. This is literally one of the best anime I have ever seen(btw no hate to domestic girlfriend).
