When the colossal nerfs rolled out for Sisters I mused that it might be the first time in a long time we see a sub-35% winrate faction... I had hoped I wouldn't be quite *this* close to calling it...
Not terribly excited my tau have gone from mediocre to just bad. I think this may be the time to catch up on painting till eleventh edition. I’ll never get my 10 painting points if I don’t hunker down and just do it.
What gets me is those factions like Black Templars are in fact not BT honestly. They are using the detachment but not running any BT units to get the +1 wound on oath targets. So whats actually winning is generic marines with various paint coats on them.
There is a big difference between what people who don’t play Guard think about Guard, and what people who do play Guard think about Guard. People who don’t play Guard think its an S-tier faction. They think we’ve got a large array of strong units and combos, with one of the best detachments in the game. We who play Guard know that we’re working with almost nothing. Ducktape and the fact that people are terrified of Scions. They die to *bolt pistols* people, just screen them and kill them with spare firepower.
