No one else is gonna be putting nice little pictures of adopted pets from 100 years ago on youtube and it genuinely makes my day better to see these mostly lost stories from such a thoughtful perspective.

This really is a great example of the power of history. I never before thought of all the wonderful stories that a pet cemetery could hold, and appreciate you going through the effort to share these (ironically) very human glimpses of the past.

I love seeing stories like these. Despite how much humanity has changed over the years, the bonds between humans and pets has been a constant through the millennia.

This one's a tear-jerker, but heart -worming- warming and humorous at times. What started the waterworks was the story of the actor George Arliss, who wanted to make sure not only the graves of his dogs, but also those of the pets who didn't have anyone to maintain them were kept up. 💐 5:00 -ish
    R.I.P. Jellee 🦴

    Does anyone recall a
Mike who tended the grounds here (and so much more) in the 80’s and 90’s? I know he’s no longer with us, RIP, but I remember him being a kind, warm, man. I wish his loved ones well. 😊

Thank you for this. I only hope someone remembers my cat Theta like this after he's gone. He's huge and an absolute powerhouse, insanely gentle, outgoing, and has incredible emotional and general intelligence. He doesn't panic and claw if you try to hold onto him after he decides he wants to go. He simply relaxes and lets it happen, and sometimes decides to stay on his own long after you let him go. I've seen him run up to apartment maintenance and pest control people and flop at their feet to ask for belly rubs, people he's never seen before. For now, he's in perfect health and has many years left ahead of him to keep spreading his love.

This video was special. Not too many would go to a pet cemetery. Thank you for sharing, and letting the rest of us know even back in the early pioneer days they loved and cared deeply for their fur babies.

Firstly, I am sorry about your lovely doggo, Jellee ❤️
Thank you for making this video. I am continually enthralled by your attention to detail in bringing the past to life. I applaud you for sharing these little creatures with us; long may their memories live on!
And finally, on a much less serious note, I’m amazed by the variety of names from back in the day. I went to a small, old pet cemetery outside of Newcastle Upon Tyne a couple of years back with my nieces (yes, I am that kind of auntie!) and most of the names would be seen as offensive nowadays! The only one I can repeat here is of a dog: Lady Willies 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a wonderful, peaceful cemetery, unlike human cemeteries. Human cemeteries are full of love, hate, friendship, jealousy, greed and more. This pet cemetery is full of nothing but love.

I've been enjoying your channel so much since I stumbled upon it about a month ago. And yes, that last headstone brought me to tears. When I closed my eyes, I immediately saw glimpses of all the pets I've lost over the years, knowing how true their unconditional love for us is and that no matter how long it's been you still feel that loss. Every day with our pets is precious. Thank you so much for this beautiful trip of a video and the excellent work that you do.

English is not my native tongue, so the good mr. King has somewhat, shall we say, made the words "Pet Cemetery" full of horror for me, because of his novel and the movie (although the difference in spelling). I will say that I like Pine Ridge version much better. Very peaceful and a place to ponder the nature of the often short, to us humans, time of companionship with a much beloved pet of any sort.

I think everyone in the US knows the "Lizzie borden took an axe..." song.
But I guess she loved her dogs!
Where I live we cremate our pets and spread the ashes somewhere nice.
Of course, unless your belief prevents it, we cremate ourselves too...
