"That's not my dress" *takes off bow* "Oh that IS my dress!" so yeah, once again a proof that the whole Clark Kent/Superman think is more realistic than I thought. xD
@@peacheskong2245 um do you really need a explanation? Where the hell did you get anything about the wedding from her comment? She is talking about how people cant tell its superman when Clark Kent puts glasses on. The lady couldn't tell it was her dress because the bow.
A simple detail can change how everything looks it's weird really it's like if you had a plain dress but add a small belt with some crystals on it it instantly changes to elegant yet a bit of bling if you get me.
Abby Taylor Yes, especially when they say I want them all to like it. I understand wanting your mother's approval I do, but some of them are extreme lol. I'm not there to please anybody but myself and future hubby.
Exactly! Ffs these are all grown women if they can decide on their own to get married then why do they need a bunch of other people’s opinion and approval i would just go on my own and pick my god damn dress!!!
NEVER take other people w/ you. Their opinions will ultimately get to you and chances are you wont end up w/ what YOUR dream dress is. It is YOUR day....not theirs
SCARYCHEWINGGUM pick and choose family but don't bring friends or family you don't trust completely to help you or make you feel good about it. Most of these they tell the people to dramatically change their personalities etc.
even if you are buying the dress for your daughter, it’s shitty to let your opinion dictate whether you’re going to buy the dress for her or not. I’d rather pick a dress that I want and pay myself than have to let my parents’ opinion dictate what I’m gonna wear on my wedding day
Even if you're paying for your daughter's dress ,Happiness you shouldn't care. Like you're already dumping money on her dress might as well let her choose what she wants...
Karine Fonte I meant more so that if someone wanted to get a sleeve tattoo, why would they not want anybody to see it... You know, because sleeve tattoos cover a large amount of skin...
Bullshit her father has no idea of an old sleeve tattoo. Damn "reality" tv. Bull. My friend was on say yes to the dress and was told to manipulate her personality to certain extremes for the show. So, bull bull bull.
Mythic Bitch She was an extreme burn victim, her grandfather pulled her out of a fire and died saving her life, she married one of my close friends. She was offered a spot on the show and literally went, recorded and had an entire week up there while she enjoyed filming. Then something went wrong and they didn't air. I think it had to do with her not liking how they portrayed her and how it looked fake since she didn't want to change her personality. After shooting the episode she started deleting bunch of people off fb, so I don't know if of ever aired, (after that) I just know it changed her. I can only wonder if they kept bringing up her scars because she is 80 percent scars, so maybe the episode was just too personal. If you find the episode that is of a burn victim let me know because she cut a lot of us out of her life so I never got to see it
Not sure if the show is real or not, but my dad doesn't know anything about me personally (next month he'll meet my fiance for the very first time at the wedding lol), and my parents actually raised me. They're conservative so I don't tell them anything that'd upset them. I had to cover my pierced ears for a loooong time, always had my hair down to hide my ears. I totally believe it's possible her father doesn't know about the tattoo. You don't know about the relationship between them.
I don't have a sleeve but I'm pretty to myself and my dad and mom don't know about certain tattoos and they didn't even know I dropped out of school till I told them. But i totally agree this show and every reality show is bull but I love them
Mirabelle Tseng - I call bull on the father not knowing on this clip because the tattoos were clearly visible, even with sleeves. It came down her wrist and onto her hand. It doesn't take much logic to get to the thought that she likely has at least a partial sleeve.
I saw that episode. He thought she only had the one on her hand and he didn’t like that. He had no idea she had a whole sleeve. He was disappointed. She hid it from him for years by wearing long sleeves every single time she was around him.
When I got married we were engaged for 3 hours and then went off to the registery for the marriage - I'm so glad we didn't waste money on dresses and stuff 😂
I would hate to have a sleeve if I couldn't show it off or I can't wear certain things because of it. Nope. Don't get a tattoo of your not going to be responsible enough to tell your parents about it. Also I call Bs because you could clearly see the tattoo poking out of her black dress in the beginning
I don't get why other people have to decide for these women it's unfair, if she wants it and thinks it's perfect, then let her have it, it's her day after all
Really? That’s such a common phrase! It’s like you have a list of everything you are looking for and if an item matches all those things then it ticks ✔️ all the boxes.
The part where the mother in-law to be went against everyone. That was really rude. They were kind enough to invite her, but that is really a day for the bride and her mom and she should have guarded her words better.
My daughter's happiness means more to me than anything, I wouldn't ever dream of causing a fuss about something she wants to wear on her big day! She can have whatever she wants ❤️😍
I only brought my fiancé when we went dress shopping and sent my mom pictures afterwards when we already made a choice. There's only two people whose opinion and taste really matters on the wedding day and that's his and mine since it's OUR weeding.
I feel like the moms have had their chance to go and pick out the “perfect dress” when THEY were getting married, but this is the daughters’ opportunities to find what makes them feel “magical”. I understand it’s hard seeing your daughter grow up, but this is about the brides, NOT all about the moms. I don’t know 🤷♀️
Dang some of the comments from people when the bride comes out in a dress she loves and they don't it's insane. When I went dress shopping it was not at all like that. Some people don't understand, it's doesn't matter what others don't like it only matters what you like, it's your big day not there's...
Blondie 113 yeah for my sweet 16 literally everyone was picking dresses for me and stuff, but once I found the dress I knew and nobody was changing my mind lol so I really don't see how these girls change their opinion over others
I don't know how she planned to hide it. Most wedding dresses with sleeves are sheer. You would see right through he sleeves and her tattoo would still be viable
Dress shopping is about the *bride*, people! Once I saw The Look in my daughter's eyes, I knew she'd found her dress and that's all that mattered--not my own tastes. I look forward to doing it all over again with my younger daughter next year. We "old ladies" already had our weddings. Let the young ladies have their moments!
Nelli Karlsson it really depends on your skin type and tone and your skin needs. Really full coverage foundation that covers tattoos can be exclusive and expensive
I think that the one thing I have learned by watching years of SYTTD is not to voice a negative opinion if the bride loves the dress and you, as the entourage, don't. Try to understand her perspective first. Is she truly in love with the dress? Is it just the first time she has seen herself in a wedding dress? What is her thought process? Guage if she is open to trying on other options. But in the end, it is her wedding day and you want to be as supportive of her as possible.
Me and my mother are on the same page and we'd know what looks good. Even if she doesn't like it, she'll let me have it if I love it. I can't imagine how these brides can put up with their mothers and entourage who are so opinionated. You're a grown woman! You can dress yourself.
Mika20 yeah my mom's like that too, and if I pick something that doesn't go well with my body she'll tell me, but she won't force me to find something else.
Exactly! If anything, my mom would find something similar that fits me better, but would show me options in case I change my mind. For her, my happiness is all that matters. (Still deep down I too want to make her happy too lol )
Mika20 yeah like I remember when I was searching for my sweet 16 dress my mom was showing me all sorts of dresses, but once I found the one she knew she couldn't change my mind. Lol
So is the bow on = not my dress the equivalent of a bride putting on a veil and it making a dress magic enough to make tears fall for everyone on the couch?
It gets me when mom says its one day.. So mom needs to know its one day.. And that day isn't hers.. Its her daughters be supportive of the daughters choice. Mom needs to remember daughter is getting married and the only other opinion that should be taken into consideration is the new husband.
Would never allow my own opinions to rule over my daughters. Her day, her dress her choice x
@strawberry_shortcake4life most give in when they see how happy their daughter is
"That's not my dress"

😅
"That's not my gown."
*Removes belt*
"Oh yes, that's my dress."

U r right...
That girl don't even remember her own dress 😭 she sees the bow and is like "No that's not my dress" Lol that's stupid 😂
A simple detail can change how everything looks it's weird really it's like if you had a plain dress but add a small belt with some crystals on it it instantly changes to elegant yet a bit of bling if you get me.
Not so much stupid as panicky. The gal is getting married in a week, and she is probably freaking out about everything, from flowers to food. :0)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was stupid indeed !
😠😡
Every time I watch this show I cringe at the fact that the BRIDE is letting other people's opinions and fake tears pick HER dress for HER wedding
Abby Taylor Yes, especially when they say I want them all to like it. I understand wanting your mother's approval I do, but some of them are extreme lol. I'm not there to please anybody but myself and future hubby.

Kathy Leighton you have words of wisdoms
that is not true...just dont take the ones that constenly bring you down, whether it is a dress or any other choice.
honestly I think I'm going to only bring people I trust and we'll accept my opinion but I do need some honesty 😂
I think I would only bring my fiancée to be honest. Maybe my mom. But that's it.
Agree. Not taking anyone to my dress shopping.

Same......she would want me to be happy and she doesn't disagree with me wanting to wear a red dress when I eventually get married :)
Lauren Hudson My mum might disagree and tell me but she would still let me choose and not make a fuss like all of these woman 🙄
Lauren Hudson ท
My mom would definitely disagree if she feels like it's not flattering or the one but she would always be supportive.
"As long as we get a dress that we both like, it'll be a great day." Boy, it's about her and what she wants, not you.

She just didn't want her dad to see it, he didn't know she had the whole sleeve. Most parents aren't keen on tattoos in general.
