That young lady could make ANY dress look nice. They were all beautiful on her. And what a sweet attitude she maintained even through all of the negativity. Definitely a beautiful bride.
her wedding, her theme. I don't know why they object. Also, when someone is super dark or light, a hint of colour really looks better. Same for pale redheads, a soft hue looks better than starch white
The dad was exactly right. The bride was beautiful and she just had a classy look about her. The last dress fit her perfectly, and it was an immediate yes because he could see that it was perfect for her.
In the second one its so sweet and special that she brought her daughter and valued her opinion. Seeing the excitement on get daughters face clearly made her feel better about things and how the daughter said there was nothing wrong with the dress after the mother complained was so true, children are brutally honest so I'd take her advice over the mother's.
Every single person on these shows who says, "I'm just being honest" knows they are about to say something insulting that they should keep to themselves.
Dad was so right with the first bride. If he wouldn’t have said no she would never have gotten to that beautiful final dress. Some may think parents are harsh but more times than not it leads the bride to the absolute perfect dress.
Last story: Personally, I loved the first dress on her, but her choice was also a winner. I hope she got her pink dress and if the entourage didn't like it they can stay home because who needs a bunch of Debbie Downers at your wedding. That is why I am such a strong advocate of buying your own dress and if the relatives don't like it either put a smile on their face and tell the bride she is beautiful or stay home. It is her day not yours.
Winner winner! Chicken dinner! I've said the same thing here a few times. I don't need help choosing my clothes any other day. I shopped alone, had a blast, and was done quickly bcuz I had no dissention. I didn't even care if anybody else liked it, but they said they did. 😊
This is why only my mother and I went shopping for my bridal gowns. I knew she would support my decision and what I love. She bought me two gorgeous dresses
Bride four- I am so thankful that your daughter and grandmother spoke truth to your Mom, your gown choice was pretty and sweet with floral lace delicate details that suited your soft femininity!"
My mums only words when ordering my dress was what she wants she gets, and how much , that was her imput i showed her what i wanted , she said the style i chose was beautiful❤
The tradition here in Greece the groom pays for the wedding dress not the father of the bride and of course the groom buys the new bedroom set as well as some of the other things that are needed for the wedding. Peace and Love ✌️❤️ from sunny 🌅 Greece 🏖️🇬🇷
@Annie497 Yes they are beautiful. My wedding was THE BEST day of my life and I do mean it.💝 The tradition here still stands and has been for many years. I was born in the States, but moved to Greece and married the BEST man on the planet for 46 years and had two children. Unfortunately he passed away this last February on Valentine's Day. This was the MOST DEVASTATING day of my life. He ALWAYS brought me flowers on Valentine's Day for each year we were married. I hope you are lucky in life as I was. Again, Peace and Love ✌️❤️
I swear I have the same sister and I know how hard those blows land. My hope is that she gets to a place where she is Teflon to her sister's words, and not to be afraid to say "absolutely no more, if you don't want to build me up then I don't need you in my life". I did, and 15 years later my sister has come around
I swear I have the same sister. And that's why I chose my dress alone ❤ 3 weeks ago i walked down the aisle, and she didn't get the chance to make me feel insignificant or insecure
That sister is a real B. She is the type who just loves to tear someone down. Let those people in your life at your own risk. One can love one's family and yet one needs to spend as little time around those caustic family members as possible. That is what I do. Otherwise, the caustic ones will do their best to ruin your happiness.
Bride three come back WITHOUT your catty mean sister. I am a seamstress and designer, you DON'T have to be cutting or mean about how you say things to people. Both sisters are GORGEOUS, there is something else going on there.
@@Kayenne54 And, so often, fishtail style dresses are not flattering across the stomach. Even on the slimmest bride.. Everyone wants to look the same, these days...boring
@@jacqueline8559 it must be very difficult for brides looking for a "different style" of dress. They all end up looking the same to me for sure, after five minutes.
I hope that 2nd one doesn't bring her sister, she is downright unkind, she knows she's hurting her sister... Jealous of the wedding and boyfriend I reckon..
These counsultants are so kind. They respect the bride's budget ❤❤❤ They never show dresses which is far more their budgets unless the bride or the entourage themselves choose the dress 🎉🎉🎉
If the bride loves the dress, shut up and be happy for them. I’m glad that I didn’t bother asking anyone if the liked my dress until after the wedding.
The sister is insulting and jealous if it was me I'd tell her to shut her mouth. When she goes back to dress shop again, she should leave the sister at home.
First Bride: The third gown was the best, it lefted her bust up, not too low in the front or the back and was not as tight as the first one! The sleeves bring a touch more modest to it. Dad was right about it, thanks Dad ( I was a bit worried about him) I couldn't wear it where I would get married ( I would have to have the more sheer parts to have another layer of lining, otherwise no problem!)
Yes, if the bride brings you, then she wants your opinion, but you should know your opinion should not be more important than how she feels in the dress and you can tell when the bride loves the dress so if she does then just say you love it and be supportive! At the end of the day, if you love her, then you’ll think she will look beautiful in whatever she thinks she looks beautiful in, even if it’s not your style.
What a nice dad. My ah father reluctantly and grudingly donated a couple thousand dollars to me when I got married as a young woman, and that was meant to cover everything. Then he had the gall to threaten not to come to the wedding if my mom was going to be there. (They had recently divorced). My mom bought my dress for $750.
Jess, the blonde sister is mean spirited and condescending. Every time a new dress came out the mother said nothing and looked to her for the first word. No wonder she ended up so cruel. ☮️
I'm sooo disappointed for Anna. She looked absolutely gorgeous in the first dress. It did accentuate her curves in the right places! Yea, another sister ruins another appointment! 😡
(Since for some reason I can't edit the text I'll just reply.) I never understand why the entourage think they can get the bride to wear what they want instead of what the bride wants! If the bride wants baby pink (lace, fitted, etc.) that's what she gets. The entourage can get what they want on their wedding day!
As prententious as David can be at times, I have really watched him be an adept salesperson as well. I just wish that his WIFE who actually DESIGNED Dianas wedding gown received the praise and accolades that he received because of it.
The consultants are such instigators when they ask the entourage “what do you see her in?”. It’s an act for the cameras. When I went wedding dress shopping with my daughter nobody asked me “what do you see her in”.
The last bride compromised with her entourage with the design of the dress and I'm so happy she stuck by her decision for the baby pink. I wished we could have seen a picture of her in the dress in pink. I'm sure she looked absolutely amazing. I just don't understand people who think their opinions matter more than the bride's. I would never treat my friends and/or sister the way some of these brides have been treated by family. Learn to read the room, understand it's not YOUR day, and support the bride.
Why are they restricted to fishtail or ballgown designs? My Wedding dress, and the dress I bought as my sisters Matron of Honour , both had A line skirts. This cut accentuated my small waist and flattered my figure. Plus, I could move around with ease. Both were beautiful dresses but, apart from my skirt shape, they were polar opposites. My Bridal gown was high necked, Satin and lace, and had a stunning train. The other was silk, had a flattering sweetheart neck, and a deep, plunging back . Just to show that anything can be designed with this shape gown.
When you're planning a wedding, don't say "It's my wedding" just cuz you're planning it. Doesn't matter if you're the one planning all of it or not, it's straight up offensive to the bride, and the groom.
"Karen might have done a 180 for style swapping princess for fishtail. BUT we're not going to throw out her budget as well" Love this, because unfortunately sometimes in say yes to the dress people seem a little too eager to push the bride to up the budget which is sad when it CAN be done for less (now if only it could have stayed within budget, then it would have been totally refreshing)
I can’t stand it when parents who are paying for the dress feel as though they get to decide what dress. Let your daughter pick the dress that she wants or don’t pay for it.
I love that the baby pink bride stuck to her guns, the colour is just perfect for her.
Harriette's dad is right many dresses look like night gowns. Dad has taste.
I am so glad the last lady chose baby pink. She chose the theme so she should feel happy in her dress. Bravo ❤

I love this family, that Dad is so adorable. Makes me tear up every single time. He’s right that last dress is so elegant and timeless. 🙏
“It’s not all about you, it’s about us as well.” Actually, no, it’s only about the bride. This is why I chose my dress alone

some of the MOST gorgeous gowns I’ve seen on any of the SYTTD usually hit between $1700-$2400
The blonde sister acts like she is jealous. The bride to be looked stunning.
What in the world is a bride to be???? Like wife to be is a Bride… so what is a bride to be????
People use bride to be when they consider that she is the bride primarily ON the wedding day.
She could have better in better dresses.
I think she was being honest tbf
I think the first dress that was more fitted, the bride looked gorgeous. I don't like the sister at all
If that sweet beautiful bride wants a dress in baby pink SHE IS GOING IN BABY PINK, YES!👛🎀💖
Lol exactly. I wish we could see what it ended up looking like!

Ya I found this different but yes I know ' because it happened in the family!
People need to stop body shaming others because the day will come when you are the one with body image issues...wake up, compassion goes a long way...
People tend to forget it’s the bride’s day! Regardless who’s paying for the dress.
No it's the groom's day also.
That blonde sister is disrespectful. Seems envious and likes to humiliate her sister.
