I believe that every high school and college should now teach personal security and social media management. Taking photos and making films inside a place of residence, as well as time-stamping of images/videos, is risky. Personal Risk Management in a world with so much exposure and so little privacy is essential now.

Even though I live in Eastern Australia, I feel for these poor kids, beautiful, energetic, learning souls who wanted to better themselves through University. To the families and friends of those young people left behind, bless you all, and may we as all people, bring you justice and some peace. I would like to know if LE have searched up high, the roof, the eaves, the manhole, the tree holes and tree forks even. That knife has to be somewhere, that is my gift to you. Even light shades any little ceiling and roof nook and niche. Good luck.

There won't be any justice. Idaho does not carry out the death penalty, though it is "on the books" for more than 20 years. The killer knows this. The knife is long gone. Are you kidding? Probably dropped into the nearby river the same Sunday morning. It will likely NEVER be found and it is ridiculous to pin any hopes on it as evidence at all.

Can you explain how telling the public what you know helps the suspect? I hear people say this a lot but it makes no sense tbh. The public can help in most cases. If they have a description of the perp releasing it can only help. If they are fairly sure they know who it is saying they have a prime suspect also can ease the public and slow down the fake tips.

Idaho has had serial murderers before (Duncan, Cowboy Mike, Creech, etc.) , keep in mind we have had immense growth in the last decade. Lots of new people here means higher crime, people moved here with a small town mindset but they’re finding out that’s not the case anymore, thinking Idaho is safe and small town still is your first mistake. I wonder if two of the four were followed home; the first two? Since two more arrived home close afterwards they were seen, so were included in the killing. @@scarlett4087 You think there'd be a sound? What if no one is there to hear it?
If a house full of kids who've been gallivanting around town for over six hours drinking is all passed out and they're stabbed in the lungs and slashed across the throat with their mouths cupped and being held down (I imagine) you wouldn't hear anything from floor to floor much less next door. The mess of the scene actually makes it harder to process. It's likely they'll find it was someone they invited in or someone that followed them back. However, it's possible that someone was already there lying in wait. Especially if they were targeted with no forced entry.

@@scarlett4087 my theory is that the killer locked the bedroom doors behind him/her/them. The victims and survivors social media videos and images show that the bedroom doors had turn-locks on the interiors of the rooms. This is also shown in the images of the house from Zillow and the rental company. If they survivors continually knocked on the door(s) of the victim’s and couldn’t get a response from them, it would make sense that they called friends over first- not seeing anything yet. It’s possible that they assumed someone was unconscious, then decided to call 911.
Again, this is just a theory, but to me, it makes the most sense that they didn’t realize what had taken place behind the closed/locked door - at that time.

He may have asked one of the girls who were murdered for a date and got rejected. Cops, you can find him by going through college records; maybe you’d run across him if you checked out gyms in Moscow where he may be a body builder. His major in college could be criminal justice or engineering. He may have been diagnosed with PTSD, cross reference Veteran’s Admin records and college records. If he has a criminal record, it might be for assault as in a bar fight, or maybe some sexual harassment, stalking charges. I’m a clinical forensic psychologist; Dr. Paul Dawson

It's easy for me to imagine how the student mistook the dead person for being "unconscious". I've seen a lot of murder recreations in which the person discovering the body actually thought it was a suicide and the victim's arms were bound with cord. The truth is when we see something shocking like a person lying still on the floor or a person underwater in a bathtub, etc. it is a shock to our system. Our first thought isn't murder because that so rarely happens. We think of someone accidentally falling, hitting their head and being knocked out or someone falling, hitting their head and drowning in a bathtub. The first victim this witness came upon might have been closer to the door than the other bodies. It's possible all she saw was one body and the victim might have been stabbed in the front but also lying on her front side. In that case the most of the blood would not have been visible. She obviously didn't see the other three people because she reported one unconscious person.

  • @speaklifegardenhomesteadpe8783

37:37 Student clearly asks how to a target!! Police evade answering or giving precise, exact solutions to use RIGHT NOW, while they're ACTUALLY IN DANGER with a killer on the loose! They could recommend life360 and so many other things!
This is negligence at least and malicious at worst. Shameful. They should've had exact action points and solutions for safety, like don't go out drinking & partying, everyone keep a clear head to stay on the look out and stay healthy mentally and emotionally for ourselves and each other.
(unless he's worried about business being upset... $$$$???)😠😡
Listen to each other and keep track of everyone's location, have safe words to Txt that mean call police and get me asap etc.
Stay away from drugs and seek therapy, free counseling services are here 24/7 and give out the location, phone numbers etc.
Be your best for each other. Let's hold each other up strong enough that it lasts even beyond this tragedy, which will build a long lasting confident, strong, healthy, wise and compassionate community, connected to always respond to our neighbor in need. That we strengthen as a community family thru this.
Check in and out for classes, activities, and travel including your paths to your parents/ guardians and let's re-take this time going into the holiday seasons to safely build up our relationships, to be more open, honest, listening, repenting, praying, and especially forgiving. Utilizing the available psychological therapy, church resources, educational services, and public servants, to hold each other during this storm, anchored in truth.
That the officers will be honest, when it might make us look bad, we'd rather you know the truth. We will keep some secrets and tell some lies to trick the bad guys, but we mean you no harm, and we'll tell you as much as we can. We want justice in court to be served so they're put out of our community for as long as possible, if we say to much their lawyers will use it to file motions in court to dismiss the charges for example and they could go free. So you might be very angry with us until this is solved and for that we are terribly sorry but we're doing this because we love this community and we are committed to protecting your freedoms and your rights, anyone charged also has rights, so please research and consider the legal system to better understand our positions.
THAT'S what I would've liked to hear these guys say, something like that. I get so tired of police begging the public for help, yet their interactions with us include them praising each other, repeating old info, holding everything in their vests.... For the trial (which they'll never get by holding everything from us at the point it starts getting cold!!!)
Then if years later, holding it all in your vests, a random person finds the remains etc, the police didn't solve it, the random guy did, yet they'll do an hour back patting stage show for TV as if they solved it... Forgetting to mention the massive funds spent, their failure to solve it, which left the public to solve it... With NO CLUES cuz they're in your vest...
So the years this person ran free... COULD now equate to the years they'd shorten their SENTENCE, by you sharing what's in your vest, just enough for us... At least! make sense? But they'd be caught and not hurting others because you told us enough that we could actually help you in a partnership instead of being... TALKED AT... during your TV conferences.
I hope I made things clear, and I apologize for any wrong, or if anything sounds mean, disrespectful, or bad in any way, I've had no sleep lately and I truly care and hope for justice, truth, better engagement between officers and the public regarding cases and I truly desire communities to be built up stronger and wiser in all things under God thru faith in Jesus name amen.

I love when they ask questions and they say they are not releasing that yet and it's pretty much a yes or no question. You know for the most part that means yes. I am seriously curious about the question about the targeted attack. I wonder who it was and then why go up or downstairs to attack the others. Humm. I'll bet the other girls had their doors locked is the only reason they was safe. Breaking it down would have caused too much commotion. Somebody would have called 911. They were sleeping when this happened.

This gave us absolutely nothing new or nothing we do not know already. I also just do not understand how there was a young couple that probably was in the bed together and nobody screamed or nobody heard anything! I hope they find justice for these families! I am sending my condolences to each and everyone is hurt and touched by this sad & senseless crime!! 🙏🏼

Chyna, I agree that something about this case of murdering 4 people in a house of 6 doesn't add up somehow. Two of the kids had defensive wounds, so I'm guessing they were the boyfriend/girlfriend. Perhaps the killer was using NVG's, and/or knew the interior layout of the house, who slept where, etc. How is it that two of them were not injured? Were the bedrooms all far-flung, or where those two slept on the other side of the house?

Sure spent a lot of time in Moscow in 2017 never thought I would hear this. I remember seeing a Forensic files documentary on a young man from Moscow I believe May of been a student there at the college in Moscow he disappeared and the crime was never solved. Really sad to hear about this horrific murder. I have seen many students from the U Of I mostly Asians on foot struggling to get their goods back to their residence near the college. I almost had my son attend this college from out of state. This is such a beautiful city so sad to learn of this.

The 4 victims on 2nd and 3rd floor and other 2 on the 1st floor that were not killed is a big red flag. Why would a killer bypass the first floor roommates to get to the 2nd and 3rd floor. This person or persons knows the 4 victim and this is a case of vengeance or utter hate for the victims. If you just wanted to kill, you slice the neck but to stab multiple times is a angry or jealous hate.

I read in another comment that the girls down in the basement level did have their doors locked so this probably saved their lives. Also read a post from someone who said a former student said the basement was very soundproof so it is possible those girls were not aware of what horror had unfolded while they were asleep. I really don't believe they were involved. I'm leaning more to a male who has a background in hunting and who is physically strong and obviously able to overpower another male in that house. Sadly these poor kids never had a chance as its been said the sliding door was unlocked on the 2nd floor so he entered their home without breaking in. Please people on Campus and surrounding area please ensure your windows and doors are always locked day and night at the moment. 😔

@@user-LisaLaLa IC now. The house images I saw shows 3 story but the house is built into an incline so on the other side the 2nd floor is at ground level and in the other side the basement door is ground level. Makes sense ty. So that on the back side so someone was stalking the house because the roommate on basement came home around an hour before the other 4. This killer(s) knows the 4 victims for sure and waited for them. Whoever did it when caught just need to be turned over to the victims family to deal how they see fit. Cause if I was one of their parents the criminals would die a slow death right up to the point of my last breath.
