I believe that every high school and college should now teach personal security and social media management. Taking photos and making films inside a place of residence, as well as time-stamping of images/videos, is risky. Personal Risk Management in a world with so much exposure and so little privacy is essential now.
Even though I live in Eastern Australia, I feel for these poor kids, beautiful, energetic, learning souls who wanted to better themselves through University. To the families and friends of those young people left behind, bless you all, and may we as all people, bring you justice and some peace. I would like to know if LE have searched up high, the roof, the eaves, the manhole, the tree holes and tree forks even. That knife has to be somewhere, that is my gift to you. Even light shades any little ceiling and roof nook and niche. Good luck.
There won't be any justice. Idaho does not carry out the death penalty, though it is "on the books" for more than 20 years. The killer knows this. The knife is long gone. Are you kidding? Probably dropped into the nearby river the same Sunday morning. It will likely NEVER be found and it is ridiculous to pin any hopes on it as evidence at all.
They could very well be one of our children , and I feel so bad for these dear heartbroken parents ,may our Lord Bless them with peace , also the Holy Spirit ! I can’t imagine how THAY feel ,when I try I need to stop it’s just to painful !
God Bless you Deborah and your family ,may he keep you all safe ,healthy, and happy ! In beautiful Australia , I’m from a beautiful Island in CANADA , called Prince Edward Island , have you ever herd of Anne of Green Gables ?
@@heatherbowlan1961 Heather this is exactly what I feel. This could be my kids. Your kids. My coworkers kids. It is so heartbreaking. I pray for the victims and their families. This world has gotten so out of hand that I do worry for my childrens’ futures.
This world is in a sad state nowadays. These poor, beautiful, young adults killed in their prime! My heart aches for their families, who are forever changed. Hope they catch whoever did this!
It's tough because we all want to know, but law enforcement can't jeopardize the investigation, especially if you want justice and to catch the bad guy. Not letting the bad guy know what you know. I pray that God will lead them and help them to find justice. May the families and all those effected find away to move through this and to not let evil prevail!
I hope you’re right, because on Court TV all professional investigators agreed on that the law enforcement actually doesn’t have anything major in their hands. That is why they keep asking the ppl for tips, home or vehicle camera recordings etc. But I truly hope you’re right.
Can you explain how telling the public what you know helps the suspect? I hear people say this a lot but it makes no sense tbh. The public can help in most cases. If they have a description of the perp releasing it can only help. If they are fairly sure they know who it is saying they have a prime suspect also can ease the public and slow down the fake tips.
I’m surprised they didn’t include lock your doors at all times. Have security cameras and don’t give anyone the code for your entrance door. The tips they gave these girls were already doing. I understand this town was not prepared for this type of attack. If you have a panic button on your car, keep your car keys by your bed so you can activate the alarm and let some of your neighbours know if they hear it going off non-stop, something is wrong.
Idaho has had serial murderers before (Duncan, Cowboy Mike, Creech, etc.) , keep in mind we have had immense growth in the last decade. Lots of new people here means higher crime, people moved here with a small town mindset but they’re finding out that’s not the case anymore, thinking Idaho is safe and small town still is your first mistake. Times are changing
That's probably because the killer or killers were already in the house. The roommates are definitely involved in my opinion and announcing that they were ruled out as suspects is a tactic used to make them let down their guard a little.
Projection. The police give zero fucks about the constituents. They are tired because for many of them this is the first time they have to work for eight hours straight.
Yes, the hatred should be directed at the killer, not the policemen and women who are not with their families on Thanksgiving, who are working around the clock desperate to find a killer.
These cops are taking this too personal and want to be the town hero by solving it themselves. This is a big mistake!! They should come forward with what they know and watch the public unlock the much needed break in the case.
I wonder if two of the four were followed home; the first two? Since two more arrived home close afterwards they were seen, so were included in the killing. The two that made it out alive returned home before the four who were killed, so guessing whoever did this didn’t know there were two more already in the house. This came to mind while listening to this report.
There's a lot to process! The police have huge task on their hands, and I'm sure they are following up on leads 24hrs a day, as they said, evidence, photos and leads! They can't jepodize the investigation by releasing too much info and who they're focusing on because it could spook the perpetrator/s. RIP to those students who were murdered, hope they get justice ⚖️
Spot on. I believe the pressure on these various agencies, is intense. They seem to be very involved with doing it right not fast. I have confidence in them.
Strength & encouragement to the officers involved. The public is too used to instant info - that's not real life, it's not a T.V. show 😐 Comfort & peace to the victims' loved ones ❤️
Unfortunately in 'real life' after this much time history shows its gonna take a long while or maybe never to catch the killer. At this point they definitely need help from the public to break this case!
The skinned dog just weeks before the stabbings is a huge red flag. What is wrong with this town? Also, nearby is a taxidermy shop with skinned and stuffed animals for sale. Maybe they should ask that guy a few questions.
Godspeed to Law Enforcement. You are doing excellent work and while I don’t live in Moscow Idaho, I very much value the hundreds of hours you are putting in-I can see how much you care about these kids and the entire community. My heartfelt condolences to the family & friends of those murdered.
With the pictures they are showing of the house from the back and side, I can now understand the reason the two other roommates didn’t wake up. They were staying in a part of the house that’s adjacent and more like an addition to the other part I was picturing it like a 3 story house, but it’s not
Be patient. They will solve this. Can you imagine all the dna samples that have to be checked from inside the house? 4 thousand pictures to look at ? I feel like it will be solved. They know a lot but can’t tell it. When they arrest someone they need the charges to stick.
The person who committed this crime is no longer in idaho, and given the amount of time that has went by,they should be in contact with law enforcement in neighboring states,I have yet to hear any mention of that...
This is horrendous for the families, law enforcement, community, and all others affected across the nation. Patience is something hard to exercise due to the amount of evil that is still lurking around free. We have all got to trust the process and know they know their jobs very well and want this case solved just as badly. This beast will be caught. Prayers for the families as they endure Thanksgiving without their children 🤍
I am just saying. It is nice to state you guys are more than 30 fbi, idaho police, moscow police…and then..? What do you do with that? Do something! Instead of always stating you are #### blah blah blah. Its been 1 week and a half and still asking for help?!
In the movies the cops always watch the watchers. Wonder if the cops are observing who attends the cops updates and the funeral guests especially for kaylen when she is buried. These psychopaths love to observe their work along with holding on to their weapon of choice.
10000% they are, especially with behaviorists working the case. It's criminology 101 to keep a close eye on anyone who inserts themselves into the case, goes back to the scene or attends vigils to see the results of their "labor". I have zero doubt it many gatheringe will be filmed as well, though perhaps covertly.
Being it’s Fall break and the majority of these students are now home, it’s going to be tough locating the perp. Any injuries they obtained will be healed over by the time they return to campus. If Kaylee did have a stalker, I doubt she knew who it was or LE would have questioned them already. I feel for these cops and investigators. I have a feeling this isn’t going to be a cut and dry investigation to solve. They are giving up their Thanksgiving to help solve this tragedy. God, give the families of these kids grace, peace, strength and compassion like only you can.
As far as moving forward these kids need to be taught that not everything needs to be on social media and furthermore lock their doors when they come home at night do a check of the house before you retire for bed to ensure windows are shut doors are locked.
@@rickcooley837 it comes down to be safe or be sorry. Make a house rule to be safe. A simple white board by door with each person marked in or out and doors locked.
This is very sad. I can really feel the pain regarding this tragedy thoughI am thousands of kilometres away from US. I hope that the authorities there find the perpetrators of this evil deed soon. Condolences to all the parents of these young people killed in this unfortunate tragedy.
Deep prayers to all of the family’s 🙏🙏🙏🙏 and respect to all of the Law Enforcement 🙏 This has to be emotionally as well as mentally hard for them as well .
Let's simply pray for justice. These families are having funerals instead of a Thanksgiving celebration. The victims were young with their whole lives in front of them. RIP to the four victims.
The coward watched this and is grinning and patting him/her self on the back knowing they have zero clue. This was very calculated and precise. They know this is not 1960, there are cctv, cell towers, dna , etc . So this was almost like a pro-job hence it’s mind blowing a college kid can do this. Yet that is most likely the case. So sad and just baffling. Tomorrow is gonna be a rough day for 4 families , heart goes out to them as the clown laughs and happily enjoys his Turkey meal with his family and “Omg can u believe those murders??” . Just unreal
I agree....I feel for these families who are tortured by this cowardice and horrific act. On the other hand, imagine being the parents of the killer who eventually will be found out. Their lives will be turned upside down as well. One of those murdered kids was a triplet. I literally can't imagine being in the womb with two of my siblings and one is no longer on this earth. The killer has a filthy soul. Society has to get better or we're all doomed. Like you, I believe it's a college student and am leaning towards the boyfriend of one of the victims. It's too much of a coincidence that the girlfriend allegedly called his phone in the wee hours and her fellow roommate who died also called his phone. Why would the roommate call him?
What makes you think he/she is a coward? Took four lives for sure and possibly more. Will definitely take more in the future because these worthless pigs aren't catching the killer unless a citizen calls in the exact name so the pigs can say on TV " we got them". Taking four lives is not much of a coward you keyboard warrior.
Anyone with knowledge of todays tech and can utilize the immense information online has the ability to commit a crime without getting caught. With that being said if the person who did this was well versed because of researching then he’d know the best way to get away is to not make it personal.
I'm glad they have made it clear for the stupid people that they are not telling us everything and for good reason. The investigation is more important than the public's feelings. I remember when the press conferences were about information the police wanted to get out or specific things they were looking for. Nowadays its about appeasing the press
Gratitude to all involved n solving this horrific crime. Gotta get it right the first time and that takes time. Patiently waiting. Deep condolences to the families.
I understand why they are keeping critical information to themselves. The families are going to the media and sharing all the information they’re learning from the case.
when the officer says "youre going to have to trust us, we are not going to release WHY we think it was targetted" im pretty sure that means something different was done to one of the bodies. symbols, carvings, posings of the body could be the key, which would profoundly change the theories being circulated in the public.
My question is there was a total of 6 people in that house 4 were the victims and 2 were unharmed how does nobody hear any screams or cries etc I would think if someone is being stabbed they would make some kind of noise atleast maybe I'm wrong I don't know but this case is really weird in my opion you would think someone would have heard or seen something I'm wondering if the 2 that were unharmed sewn or heard something and are afraid to speak up how does 4 people get killed and nobody hear or see anything
It was a party house. That means comings/goings all hours of the night. Sounds can come from common areas or private rooms and seem like nothing. Party houses where I went to college were nearly 24/7. Of all the places, this would be one where sounds wouldn't register much. Initially, I thought this was odd, too. But thinking back on college...
@@dreamerthinker5956 true I didn't think about that I'm still also curious about the 911 call of an unconscious person do you have any thoughts on that?
@@scarlett4087 You think there'd be a sound? What if no one is there to hear it? If a house full of kids who've been gallivanting around town for over six hours drinking is all passed out and they're stabbed in the lungs and slashed across the throat with their mouths cupped and being held down (I imagine) you wouldn't hear anything from floor to floor much less next door. The mess of the scene actually makes it harder to process. It's likely they'll find it was someone they invited in or someone that followed them back. However, it's possible that someone was already there lying in wait. Especially if they were targeted with no forced entry.
@@scarlett4087 my theory is that the killer locked the bedroom doors behind him/her/them. The victims and survivors social media videos and images show that the bedroom doors had turn-locks on the interiors of the rooms. This is also shown in the images of the house from Zillow and the rental company. If they survivors continually knocked on the door(s) of the victim’s and couldn’t get a response from them, it would make sense that they called friends over first- not seeing anything yet. It’s possible that they assumed someone was unconscious, then decided to call 911. Again, this is just a theory, but to me, it makes the most sense that they didn’t realize what had taken place behind the closed/locked door - at that time.
We've only seen and heard of possible surveillance Video for 2 of the Victims, what possible surveillance video may be available for the other two parties that have not been shown as they made last rounds for the night. The two survivors on the first level it was not stated where they last visited before arriving home at 1:00 AM or who they may have been with. They were home before all the others arrived at 1:45 AM.
I’m from Merseyside in England and this case has truly played on my mind and upset me. These poor kids!! I can’t even begin to imagine what their families are going through. My deepest condolences to all 💔💐💔
First and fore most I want to wish all the investigators and the victims families Happy Thanksgiving I know this is hard on each and everyone of you thank you to the dedication to Xanax, Matty, Ethan, Kaylee.
What’s very unsettling is the thought of someone sneaking into the house, killing four people and able to sneak out, now they are wandering around like nothing happened.
That's taking a lot of time for you to progress in your investigation. Redundant reporting. My heart goes to the family and rest in peace to all the victims.
They are saying the victims names repeatedly to humanize them to their perpetrator in hopes the guilt will kick in. . Let’s all pray the guilt will bring this monster to come forward.
If this was premeditated do you think the killer planned to do this right before Thanksgiving Break? The reason I ask is that if a student did do it he or she could easily leave town, return home for Thanksgiving Break, and I assume he or she still has the weapon or clothes they were wearing which they could easily discard far, far away.
And yes, they could never return and it wouldn't flag anyone. The reason no one heard could've been from the kids wearing ear pods and not hearing, many people do this all the time. Plus they're used to it being active and loud there it seems. Not sure how they came home from partying and fell asleep right away though, no way imo. This conference just made me engaged. 37:37 The student asked how to prevent being targeted and was blown off totally. Shameful!!!
Я уверен, эти люди найдут виновников этого чудовищного убийства. Умные трезвые люди. Профессионалы. Он попадется. Обязательно попадется. Это животное убившее четыре молодых человека не мог не наследить. RIP , young beautiful people.
So many have been missing and murdered in the inland empire. I wish all these people could get closure and justice. I wish all the murdered could get this level of attention
To me it’s not as much about the victims as it is a newly born serial killer on the loose. Of course I feel horribly for the families, but catching this killer prior to another event means they didn’t have to die in vain. 💔
I’m commending this force of professionals on the case for being as tight lipped as they have been-the media and all of these amateur wanna be crime solvers are gonna lose their minds over not being front and center with a seat at the table, it’s awesome!!! The reason so many other cases have been botched is because the DA and law enforcement community haven’t stayed silent or kept information confidential. Proud to be from Idaho!!!

Profile estimate of the Idaho Student Killer: A lone white male, muscular, older than most students because he’s ex-military, say 25-30. He may have asked one of the girls who were murdered for a date and got rejected. Cops, you can find him by going through college records; maybe you’d run across him if you checked out gyms in Moscow where he may be a body builder. His major in college could be criminal justice or engineering. He may have been diagnosed with PTSD, cross reference Veteran’s Admin records and college records. If he has a criminal record, it might be for assault as in a bar fight, or maybe some sexual harassment, stalking charges. I’m a clinical forensic psychologist; Dr. Paul Dawson
Less than 2% of the population has served in the military. There are 22.4 million people in the US 25-30 y.o. How sexist of you to think that woman could have not perpetrated these crimes.
Dude, it was a professor who was dating Madison Moegen, she was the real target. They're waiting until the university is terminating his tenure because tenure includes the school paying for his legal defense. Why do you think the university president is part of every police briefing, they are coordinating it with the university.
@ Roscoe Nowlin, I know, imagine how all the dogs and cats feel after word got out about what happened to Fluffy. A serial dog mutilator is on the loose.
This whole case has been so strange from the start...I really hope I'm not watching this case on tv 10 yrs from now on cold case files...in the world with cameras now...how do ghost just disappear.
The Landlord or if Property Managers, I have not heard if they have been interviewed and if they are aware of any possible threats rumors or problems the students may have or possibly heard about.
His safety rules don’t make sense. The girls were in pairs One of them talked to her Mom when she got home. It was 4 people in the house. So they were in pairs and let people know when they got home. Sometimes you can do everything but you can’t control other peoples. Lots of residents say they don’t lock their doors. Maybe they should start. Also cameras and ring doorbells might help.
I don't understand why people are giving these officers/detectives/etc such crap..there's a process and if they listened to reporters an negative comments they'd never solve any case! People think that these group of officers don't want to solve an have the suspect in custody 🙄 they're doing everything they can with the evidence they do have...only thing I wonder is why they can't say which door (if they know) the killer came through 🤔 and if "known" that the house was a party house, how many people knew the key code smh obviously every innocent victim wasn't "staying safe" if that's the case
Wow some of the media ppl are condescending to these law enforcement ppl. Surprised the cops are so patient. We all need to chill and let these ppl do their jobs. Let's hope all these resource find the person who did this. Some homicides are never solved, pray this isn't one of those cases.
I expect LE is much closer than we think but they have go to manage the process effectively. I suspect errors were made initially but that the FBI has helped level up the process (I know people make jokes about the FBI but obviously this improves things). The targeting is obviously absolutely essential to solving this.
I dont know why they bothered to hold this press conference. There was nothing new that they shared except for the stats on number of tips, photos taken of the crime scene and pices of evidence collected. I can't imagine how frustrated the parents of these kids and all the students and Moscow community must be feeling. Its so frustrating that they can't share who made the 911 call, why it took so long to make that call and why with such a bloodbath scene that they reported a person unconscious. My heart breaks for the families for the horrible loss of these young promishing lives that had a bright future in front of them. I hope and pray the find the killer soon.
It's easy for me to imagine how the student mistook the dead person for being "unconscious". I've seen a lot of murder recreations in which the person discovering the body actually thought it was a suicide and the victim's arms were bound with cord. The truth is when we see something shocking like a person lying still on the floor or a person underwater in a bathtub, etc. it is a shock to our system. Our first thought isn't murder because that so rarely happens. We think of someone accidentally falling, hitting their head and being knocked out or someone falling, hitting their head and drowning in a bathtub. The first victim this witness came upon might have been closer to the door than the other bodies. It's possible all she saw was one body and the victim might have been stabbed in the front but also lying on her front side. In that case the most of the blood would not have been visible. She obviously didn't see the other three people because she reported one unconscious person.
One reason which is because they have a good reason and if there’s a chance it’s helping close in on a suspect somehow then that’s why. They won’t even answer why they are saying it’s targeted for a big reason! With the amount of evidence, photos, scans etc they said then they have multiple suspects especially with the fbi there 1000%
why hold these conferences when there is no new information & they refuse to answer any of the questions from reporters? this person is very likely to do this again - so everyone (especially college students) needs to be on high alert because i highly doubt these cops will be able to solve this.
As much as the press conference is appreciated I don't know why they bother to have it because they didn't answer one question. Which I totally understand but seemed like a waste of everybody's time
37:37 Student clearly asks how to a target!! Police evade answering or giving precise, exact solutions to use RIGHT NOW, while they're ACTUALLY IN DANGER with a killer on the loose! They could recommend life360 and so many other things! This is negligence at least and malicious at worst. Shameful. They should've had exact action points and solutions for safety, like don't go out drinking & partying, everyone keep a clear head to stay on the look out and stay healthy mentally and emotionally for ourselves and each other. (unless he's worried about business being upset... $$$$???)😠😡 Listen to each other and keep track of everyone's location, have safe words to Txt that mean call police and get me asap etc. Stay away from drugs and seek therapy, free counseling services are here 24/7 and give out the location, phone numbers etc. Be your best for each other. Let's hold each other up strong enough that it lasts even beyond this tragedy, which will build a long lasting confident, strong, healthy, wise and compassionate community, connected to always respond to our neighbor in need. That we strengthen as a community family thru this. Check in and out for classes, activities, and travel including your paths to your parents/ guardians and let's re-take this time going into the holiday seasons to safely build up our relationships, to be more open, honest, listening, repenting, praying, and especially forgiving. Utilizing the available psychological therapy, church resources, educational services, and public servants, to hold each other during this storm, anchored in truth. That the officers will be honest, when it might make us look bad, we'd rather you know the truth. We will keep some secrets and tell some lies to trick the bad guys, but we mean you no harm, and we'll tell you as much as we can. We want justice in court to be served so they're put out of our community for as long as possible, if we say to much their lawyers will use it to file motions in court to dismiss the charges for example and they could go free. So you might be very angry with us until this is solved and for that we are terribly sorry but we're doing this because we love this community and we are committed to protecting your freedoms and your rights, anyone charged also has rights, so please research and consider the legal system to better understand our positions. THAT'S what I would've liked to hear these guys say, something like that. I get so tired of police begging the public for help, yet their interactions with us include them praising each other, repeating old info, holding everything in their vests.... For the trial (which they'll never get by holding everything from us at the point it starts getting cold!!!) Then if years later, holding it all in your vests, a random person finds the remains etc, the police didn't solve it, the random guy did, yet they'll do an hour back patting stage show for TV as if they solved it... Forgetting to mention the massive funds spent, their failure to solve it, which left the public to solve it... With NO CLUES cuz they're in your vest... So the years this person ran free... COULD now equate to the years they'd shorten their SENTENCE, by you sharing what's in your vest, just enough for us... At least! make sense? But they'd be caught and not hurting others because you told us enough that we could actually help you in a partnership instead of being... TALKED AT... during your TV conferences. I hope I made things clear, and I apologize for any wrong, or if anything sounds mean, disrespectful, or bad in any way, I've had no sleep lately and I truly care and hope for justice, truth, better engagement between officers and the public regarding cases and I truly desire communities to be built up stronger and wiser in all things under God thru faith in Jesus name amen. 🙏😔🕯️🕊️❣️✝️📖🪔
Unfortunately nothing new, which is disappointing, scary that we are 9 days in and the pressers not offering up any kind of reassurance’s or new information. Praying this does not become a cold case for the sake of the families. May their loved ones R.I.P
Tellinf the public exactly what information they have is unnecessary… Your feelings on a situation you aren’t actually involved in personally is not important! Not jeopardizing the case or tipping off the person who murdered these kids is what is important. The fact you think if we aren’t being given every ounce of info, nothing could possibly be going on is incredibly naive and self centered. Sadly…..

I would like to know who got stabbed the most. Who got stabbed first they should be able to tell by clotting and other evidence. Were any of them gagged.
Seems like all were killed in their bedroom and not gagged or bound. But soemone good with a knife can slice vocal cords first so nose can be made , at least vocally, but the rampage would be noisy. One room was right above one of the surviving roomies . This is so baffling
@@SaintsCheat , It was a college party house, pretty routine to hear furniture and bed posts knocking on walls at all hours, I doubt anyone would give it a second thought.
@@SaintsCheat the lower level was apparently sound proof and maybe the surviving roomies were in the other room. They are not suspects so you can stop pointing your finger at them.
I think that’s why they know it was targeted. One if them got it extra. They just cannot release it yet. Stabbing is a very intimate crime so it points to that direction anyway, but they are confident it was targeted; so they have solid evidence they are not revealing yet.
I love when they ask questions and they say they are not releasing that yet and it's pretty much a yes or no question. You know for the most part that means yes. I am seriously curious about the question about the targeted attack. I wonder who it was and then why go up or downstairs to attack the others. Humm. I'll bet the other girls had their doors locked is the only reason they was safe. Breaking it down would have caused too much commotion. Somebody would have called 911. They were sleeping when this happened.
This gave us absolutely nothing new or nothing we do not know already. Chyna, I agree that something about this case of murdering 4 people in a house of 6 doesn't add up somehow. Two of the kids had defensive wounds, so I'm guessing they were the boyfriend/girlfriend. Perhaps the killer was using NVG's, and/or knew the interior layout of the house, who slept where, etc. How is it that two of them were not injured? Were the bedrooms all far-flung, or where those two slept on the other side of the house?
They are in college with a house full of people in and out and parties..It doesn’t matter if we don’t understand how yet It matters that the investigation is on going and they need to stop having to do these stupid press conferences with no new info
Sure spent a lot of time in Moscow in 2017 never thought I would hear this. I remember seeing a Forensic files documentary on a young man from Moscow I believe May of been a student there at the college in Moscow he disappeared and the crime was never solved. Really sad to hear about this horrific murder. I have seen many students from the U Of I mostly Asians on foot struggling to get their goods back to their residence near the college. I almost had my son attend this college from out of state. This is such a beautiful city so sad to learn of this.
The 4 victims on 2nd and 3rd floor and other 2 on the 1st floor that were not killed is a big red flag. Why would a killer bypass the first floor roommates to get to the 2nd and 3rd floor. This person or persons knows the 4 victim and this is a case of vengeance or utter hate for the victims. If you just wanted to kill, you slice the neck but to stab multiple times is a angry or jealous hate.
I read in another comment that the girls down in the basement level did have their doors locked so this probably saved their lives. Also read a post from someone who said a former student said the basement was very soundproof so it is possible those girls were not aware of what horror had unfolded while they were asleep. I really don't believe they were involved. I'm leaning more to a male who has a background in hunting and who is physically strong and obviously able to overpower another male in that house. Sadly these poor kids never had a chance as its been said the sliding door was unlocked on the 2nd floor so he entered their home without breaking in. Please people on Campus and surrounding area please ensure your windows and doors are always locked day and night at the moment. 😔
@@user-LisaLaLa IC now. The house images I saw shows 3 story but the house is built into an incline so on the other side the 2nd floor is at ground level and in the other side the basement door is ground level. Makes sense ty. So that on the back side so someone was stalking the house because the roommate on basement came home around an hour before the other 4. This killer(s) knows the 4 victims for sure and waited for them. Whoever did it when caught just need to be turned over to the victims family to deal how they see fit. Cause if I was one of their parents the criminals would die a slow death right up to the point of my last breath.
Yeap, a real killer would have practiced on the 1st floor and moved to the 2nd and third. The public will have to call in the the person's name or these wothless pigs will NEVER solve this case.
I was lol at the redhead lady holding her hand up and not getting picked then when she did she had the best questions… the ROTC theory really makes sense and the cop had that “why didn’t we think about that “ look all over his face… if it leads to an arrest that lady deserves a day at the spa to have those grey roots done and she deserves a pat on the back with a big thank you
As sad as it is I’m starting to feel like they aren’t going to catch whoever did this. They either have no idea who did it or they can’t prove who did it.
I guarantee FBI will figure it out after DNA. The person won't be in the data bank. They will get dna from ALL the so called 'cleared' if the suspect isn't in the system.
I believe that every high school and college should now teach personal security and social media management. Taking photos and making films inside a place of residence, as well as time-stamping of images/videos, is risky. Personal Risk Management in a world with so much exposure and so little privacy is essential now.
Congrats to captain hindsight
Unfortunately they only teach stuff that isn't used in life like money management

I taught my kids to not kill. You're welcome. Now you can enjoy your social media.
What does this have to do with this case?
Of course the knife is "somewhere." The killer probably took it with him and then disposed of it....anywhere.

@@chadjohnson6718so they can catch the suspect in a lie they need to know things only the killer would know
Not really, they just need to make sure they can coverup all the illegal stuff their doing.
The car keys is a great idea!!
@Michele, That is gr8 info & I'm passing it on. TYSM
I really feel for these police. You can literally see the concern in their faces. It looks as though they haven’t slept in awhile. Prayers to them.
I feel for the families of these kids. As a parent I can't begin to phantom what they're going through. Prayers
Projection. The police give zero fucks about the constituents. They are tired because for many of them this is the first time they have to work for eight hours straight.
Yes, the hatred should be directed at the killer, not the policemen and women who are not with their families on Thanksgiving, who are working around the clock desperate to find a killer.
@@patricias5122 Nobody hates the cops. Anybody with a high profile job is going to get questioned about what they are doing.
These cops are taking this too personal and want to be the town hero by solving it themselves. This is a big mistake!! They should come forward with what they know and watch the public unlock the much needed break in the case.
Whoever did this is definitely going to do it again. That scares the hell out of me
All of these pathetic pigs would give anyone confidence to do it again.
You all did a fantastic job addressing the community. Thank you to all of the law enforcement officers.
With the pictures they are showing of the house from the back and side, I can now understand the reason the two other roommates didn’t wake up. They were staying in a part of the house that’s adjacent and more like an addition to the other part
I was picturing it like a 3 story house, but it’s not
Same. Once I saw the side profil of the house and where their rooms were, it all made sense as to how they were missed.
After hearing this update. looks like 4 new cold cases coming up.
Be patient. They will solve this. Can you imagine all the dna samples that have to be checked from inside the house? 4 thousand pictures to look at ? I feel like it will be solved. They know a lot but can’t tell it. When they arrest someone they need the charges to stick.
FBI usually solves everything. These people were heavy into Face Book Instagram. FBI just needs a bit more time.
The person who committed this crime is no longer in idaho, and given the amount of time that has went by,they should be in contact with law enforcement in neighboring states,I have yet to hear any mention of that...
This is horrendous for the families, law enforcement, community, and all others affected across the nation.
The calls to the boy from both girls was probably one girl from both phones. He wasn’t picking up from her phone so she used her friend’s phone.
when the officer says "youre going to have to trust us, we are not going to release WHY we think it was targetted"
im pretty sure that means something different was done to one of the bodies. symbols, carvings, posings of the body could be the key, which would profoundly change the theories being circulated in the public.

Good point
And yes, they could never return and it wouldn't flag anyone. The reason no one heard could've been from the kids wearing ear pods and not hearing, many people do this all the time.

It's called veterans affairs not veteran's admin that was from1960's verbage man
So there’s really no dna evidence that’s come back?
Dude, it was a professor who was dating Madison Moegen, she was the real target.
There were 6 in that house
I don't understand why people are giving these officers/detectives/etc such crap..there's a process and if they listened to reporters an negative comments they'd never solve any case! People think that these group of officers don't want to solve an have the suspect in custody 🙄 they're doing everything they can with the evidence they do have...only thing I wonder is why they can't say which door (if they know) the killer came through 🤔 and if "known" that the house was a party house, how many people knew the key code smh obviously every innocent victim wasn't "staying safe" if that's the case
Go to 5:25, then 25:00 @ which point they are specific and explicit on what Law Enforcement would like public to do, and what not to do.

Finally. Someone with a level head.
I expect LE is much closer than we think but they have go to manage the process effectively. I suspect errors were made initially but that the FBI has helped level up the process (I know people make jokes about the FBI but obviously this improves things). The targeting is obviously absolutely essential to solving this.
Media is trash!
Media is there to ask questions.
With the amount of evidence, photos, scans etc they said then they have multiple suspects especially with the fbi there 1000%
If some had defensive wounds I can only imagine their terror and would think they’d be screaming!
And that the other 2 roommates would've noticed sooner.... Right?

This is negligence at least and malicious at worst. Shameful. They should've had exact action points and solutions for safety, like don't go out drinking & partying, everyone keep a clear head to stay on the look out and stay healthy mentally and emotionally for ourselves and each other.

Listen to each other and keep track of everyone's location, have safe words to Txt that mean call police and get me asap etc.
For the trial (which they'll never get by holding everything from us at the point it starts getting cold!!!)
Then if years later, holding it all in your vests, a random person finds the remains etc, the police didn't solve it, the random guy did, yet they'll do an hour back patting stage show for TV as if they solved it...

Sounds like the Idaho State Police are doing a great job.

One helpful suggestion for this site: Please enhance the volume.
Sadly…..
@@edithtierce8209 Did this person say that his feelings mattered at all ?? he just stated an opinion and everyone here has the right to give their opinions regardless on how it makes you or other people feel. You don’t have to agree but you also don’t need to go around scolding like the group of you that keep doing that all over this platform. Everyone has an opinion regardless of what you think, Many people here wish the mad person who did this was caught! Ffs tone your 💩 down. Nobody needs to be attacked for wishing we knew more!
Yep and they said at the start that they were going to share some new information. Outside of the number of various types of evidence collections that they took that was it, I guess.
@@dollywilson3395 You are correct... No new info the cops have obviously got nothing lol the killer is long gone I know I would be...
i think the chief is losing hair rapidly
This law enforcement and the community need prayer they are in my prayers tonight
THE PERPETRATOR IS A STUDENT IN THE COLLEGE IF YOU GO TO ALL THE HOMES OF ALL THE STUDENTS YOU WILL FIND THAT PERSON. AND MY REASON BEHIND THAT STATEMENT IS ? 🇨🇦⚔️
@@faithismespeaks6848 death screams are diff than just mundane noise. But I can’t argue ur point
So sad!
Hasn't this happened before on this campus?
I recall something similar when I was young.
The media is getting so ridiculous about this… let them do their jobs!!!!! they will tell us more information WHEN they can. Take a hint, damn.
This gave us absolutely nothing new or nothing we do not know already. I also just do not understand how there was a young couple that probably was in the bed together and nobody screamed or nobody heard anything! I hope they find justice for these families! I am sending my condolences to each and everyone is hurt and touched by this sad & senseless crime!! 🙏🏼
They were all drunk.
@@BSOG3 Yes but a paper cut is painful. I think that would wake u up. Even drunk.
Maybe the perpetrator drugged them in a night cap making it easier to commit this horrific nightmare.
They are in college with a house full of people in and out and parties..It doesn’t matter if we don’t understand how yet It matters that the investigation is on going and they need to stop having to do these stupid press conferences with no new info
Whyd they do an update if theyre not gonnna tell us anything
Sure spent a lot of time in Moscow in 2017 never thought I would hear this. I remember seeing a Forensic files documentary on a young man from Moscow I believe May of been a student there at the college in Moscow he disappeared and the crime was never solved. Really sad to hear about this horrific murder. I have seen many students from the U Of I mostly Asians on foot struggling to get their goods back to their residence near the college. I almost had my son attend this college from out of state. This is such a beautiful city so sad to learn of this.
Wil Hendrick. 💔
@@igkat8 was that the young man who was gay if I remember correctly? I don’t remember the crime ever being solved.
Agreed. This person knew the house and knew them
I read in another comment that the girls down in the basement level did have their doors locked so this probably saved their lives.
