Love the Pisces series! Along with the RSI Ursa rover, it’s one of the best examples in game where the vehicles were designed in a manner packing a lot of features / gameplay into very compact and efficient footprint, with almost no wasted space. I think there is going to be some great gameplay potential and synergy combining the C8R Pisces and the RSI Galaxy with the medical module.

Great ship to pack into my carrack. Together they make a first-in, last-out ship where the long range sensors gather intel on a combat zone and the medical gameplay is the cleanup afterwards. Love it.
Seeing this ship made me realize that it would be really cool if Crusader Industries released a rescue version of the Hercules Starlifter that replace a large part of its cargohold with multiple medical modules, each with their own quarantine zones. I imagine it as a large scale mobile hospital ship, like the USNS comfort. The only ship that would perform even better in that role would be the Drake Caterpillar.
I can definitely see the Caterpillar being repurposed as a hospital ship, though it would be more catastrophe management than anything for playable events, or maybe it's better if the Caterpillar transported hospital tents, supplies and transportable offices than getting converted.
Even without the medical module, you could carry it with you doing other activities so it could act as your "medical bay". Plus, since it has the same capabilities as the regular C8X, it could also act as a snub fighter to augment ship defense.
I agree about the Red looking like a taxi delivery to the Grimhex butcher shop rather then to the clean hospital of Crusader. It must be said that the Red still can punch back much better then the pisces with 4s3 guns, a search light and a powerful search and rescue scanner that will become usable somewhere in the future. Mi advice is to buy the red if you are looking a reliable ship to get in and out from hot areas, and to buy the pisces R if you own a ship large enough to carry it around "just in case". If you want to heal someone buy a medgun for 1000aUEC.
Love this little ship. Used to use the red for bunker missions when it first came out but that was back when you could respawn in it. I'm about to pickup a C8R right now but I'm not sure what paint I want. The blue looks amazing but you know everyone is going to get that paint. The red with the hazard stripes along the roof is also cool but I think I prefer the blue
My brother and I just started playing during the current event and this rescue Pisces gave us our first experience with the law in the game lol. I'm pretty annoyed how easy it is to become a hostile criminal. 1st it was my brother landing his Pisces into the top of my Carrack, but I guess he bumped the bay opening a little and got a crime stat. Which made him red when I looked at him and the game thought my party member was now a villain. Then 2nd time, I was loading a Cyclone into the cargo bay of his Hercules, and somehow that gave me a crime stat, without even bumping into the sides. It was a little uneven at the ramp because the surface wasn't completely flat, so it bounced a little driving up the ramp, and then crime stat for me. 3rd, I became a criminal when we were flying to a bounty that was far away, just chilling with cruise control about 75km more until target. I started getting shot at by an NPC ship out of nowhere that was not even red, it was white. It shot me with guns and then a missile before I retaliated. Of course, it filled my crime stat circle more than halfway. A crew of real people (I think) came after me to kill me, I wake up in prison with no multi tool for mining or an ability to even open mobiglass, because of course. It's funny seeing all of those Pisces inside the Carrack and we couldn't get one loaded into ours without becoming criminals lol. This is a game you want to love, but it does not make it easy with how many things that go wrong so often.
The crime system is getting a tweak next patch, so that only Crime Stat 3 or above will cause NPCs to be hostile toward you or carry a prison sentence. CS1 and CS2 can be bought off by paying a fine

I actually think it was really smart of them to cut the range of the c8r when compared to the c8x.

I feel that it'd be great to have an org that loans out these+crew for them, basically as hired combat medics. Trauma Team in space.
I like it, but its a little to lightly armed (should have the same setup the C8X has imo) and the outgame price is to expensive.
The C8r can go inside the Corsair but not my MSR😔

cartridge slots to put cartridges in. Probably for the healing goo.
