Polychromos pencils were such a surprising favorite to me. I have the full 120 set, I got it from my mom for Christmas ❤️. I originally had the 12 count set and then some open stock colors, maybe about 10 of them that I collected over a few years. I liked them when I first bought them but I didn't love them like I do now. When I got back into coloring again earlier this year I realized how much I loved them. I've ALWAYS been a soft pencil girl but the Polychromos are just stunning pencils and I've been really into layering lately and the depth I get with it, not that you can't layer with pencils like Prismas. They're in my top 5 colored pencils now. I should really get into gel pens and other mediums for coloring pages because about all I use is colored pencils, alcohol markers, various watercolor products (traditional watercolor, Inktense pencils and Neocolor II), and maybe a white gel pen. I've been thinking of getting more gel pens and maybe some sparkly watercolors. I dunno lol.
My favorite dry pencils (and I have tried most on the market) are my Polychromos mixed with 50 pastel Prismacolor. 100% the best of both worlds. Highly recommend.
I am so glad I found your channel! Not only am I learning tips and tricks like crazy, but I swear you’re so much like me lol. I love blue tones, I love glitter, and I am obsessed with the Derwent inktense pencils! I got a 48 set for Christmas and while I’m absolutely DROOLING over your 100 set, I am having a blast with mine ! 🎉 I hope you had a great holiday and have a Happy New Year!!
Thnx so much for showing us your favourite supplies. I just wish I could afford to buy all of them. I do have a set of 72 Polys and a set of 48 Prismas, along with a set of gel pens. I also have 24 Derwent Inktense but unfortunately we don't get on lol. I do however have an additional supply to you and that is I actually use my nail polishes on my colour pages and I have never had a problem with them sticking or anything like that. The only problem is they do smell for a while until it dries. All the best for the New Year. xo
I struggle with my Derwent Coloursoft. They are soooo soft and brittle. They need an extremely light hand. Would love to see some videos based on these and how you use them ❤
Just found your channel. And really like it. Your tips and tricks are really helpful. Can wait to try everything. Just but a set of inktense since I was intringue by them and a couple of coloring books to try. Can’t wait to follow along.
Hi Pamela I love everything you shared I have everyone of them too only full set I have is the prismacolors I first purchase the 132 set and then add the rest over time I love it all thank you for sharing this wonderful video ❤️❤️🌹
Hi pamaela I loved this video i have these art supplies but only brought 6 open stock go the colours soft pencils im waiting for them to come down in price.. I also love my neo Color’s 2 and 100 set of inktense
I really enjoyed seeing all the pencils and the other products at the end. I have a small set of Derwent Color soft pencils that I bought about 9 years ago. Should I still use them, or because of all the changes in pencils over the years, should I buy a new set? Also, although budget pencils aren't part of this presentation, I am trying to make up my mind about the Soucolor 180 set of pencils. Unfortunately, the swatch sheet sent with them is as smooth as glass, so I am not sure if some of the issues I am having are problems with the pencils, or because the swatch card has no tooth at all. If you aren't familiar with these budget pencils, could you direct me to a good reviewer who has evaluated these pencils and would know if there is a good paper to use with them, or if the problems are just with the pencils themselves and I should return them? I love the range of color, and I am trying to decide whether or not to keep them. I bought World of Flowers and Secret Garden from Amazon, so that I could work with your color along tutorials, but the paper in these books is very smooth, so I don't know if I can layer enough in these copies of the books with such smooth paper to be able to do the same amount of layering that you did in your tutorials. Forgive me for asking you about these budget pencils, but you are my #1 person to go to with any questions about colored pencils because of your extensive knowledge of them and your wonderful talent as an artist in using them. Thank you, Pamela!.
Thank you for this video. It has given me some great ides! Take care Sara x

Your old pencils should still be good to use, hope you get them out and have some fun colouring 🫶🏻
@@jicolourist Thank you. I will do that soon
Is your prismacolor swatch chart updated with the new 2023 colors, Orchid and Amethyst?
It has the older colors on it. I should add the new colors and have two charts. Thanks for the reminder that I need to do this.
@PamelasPassionforPencils thank you for the answer, when you do update it I'll be sure to pick it up!
I kinda think Derwent Chromoflow is comparable to Faber Castel Gold Farber. Do you? You are so creative!!
I don’t have that set to compare…guess I better take a look at them. Oh no! 😂
