This is the episode where it became clear that Arcane was something on its own level. “We will show them. We will show them all.” You certainly did, Riot. Outstanding.
"That was like watching the most emotional episode of Squid Game on repeat." Damn. I haven't watched Squid Game, but that sounds about right. This episode breaks me every time I watch it (and I've watched it way too many times).
Was hoping there'd be a compilation of "yeah, you take your blood money, Judas!" when Marcus threw down the coins. I've watched well over two dozen Arcane reactions, and that was the one thing that was said more than any other. It was pretty amusing how so many reactors had the exact same thought.
looking back at this episode it´s like a car crash that turns into multiple car crashes directly after another and in the end comes the train that wrecks your hopes completely xD Every time you think a good thing happens it turns out worse, they give you hope at every little thing in the scenes but then it turns around so fast you just sit there and try to put yourself together. I literally sat there watching and every time someone said "oh it´s good, it´s gonna be fine" I´m like "nope, it´s not, actually it´s gonna get worse" XD And then we all cry together again T_T
Don’t worry I’m not stopping, one of the reactors hasn’t finished the show yet and has been taking her time so I’m just taking my time too. I’ve been using this time doing as much prep as possible so I can pump out the last 6 episodes over 6 weeks starting next week 👍
There's so much going on here that is masterfully done in the subtext... so there are signs of Powder's sociopathic nature (more borderline personality disorder with sociopathic traits) going all the way back to the opening scene of the first episode. If you go back and re-watch it two things stand out (long): First, she's singing and covering her eyes, something she was obviously told to do by Vi to keep her from being traumatized by what's going on around them, but she's peeking and seems genuinely unaffected. This is actually the first time that we see signs of her psychotic break, with the white images scratched into the frames overlaying the animation. It's a blink-and-you'll miss it moment, but it's there. Secondly, when they discover that their parents are dead, Vi immediately breaks down, but Powder doesn't. Instead she first looks to Vi to see what her reactions are and then mimics them. She doesn't have empathy, but she's already learned that there is an expected 'proper' was to react to things and she depends on Vi to be her guidepost when it comes to such things. There are other examples, but those two stand out right from the start. If you watch the music video for Enemy, it's eluded to that this is not the first time Vi has lost her temper and hit her. it would be unrealistic if Vi hadn't also been traumatized by the events of their childhood, if she didn't have a lot of rage built up in her and if, at times, her temper didn't get the better of her. Besides, physical violence for people who grow up surrounded by it doesn't have the same, visceral reaction it has for many of us whom have never been subjected to it - remember when Mylo (a kid) was incredulous at Powder (an even younger kid) for not sticking around and 'taking a punch or two'. It's a way of life. When Vi hits her, we are all in shock that she would do such a thing, but Powder almost takes it in stride... what she's really upset at is that she was left, abandoned, and essentially forced into this position by Vi who she not only trusts implicitly but whom she has become completely dependent on for her understanding of and interaction with the outside world at large. She doesn't start to panic - hysterically - until even the possibility of Vi leaving her arises. THEN she has a complete breakdown. That's why she is able to turn on Vi so swiftly and so completely literally the moment another person for her to latch onto and transfer that dependence to arrives on the scene. No sane person does that, not after what just happened, especially considering what Silco had just orchestrated... but Powder is able to let go of all of it immediately once she has a new focus for her dependency. She's immediately in survival mode and any 'love' for her sister (as WE understand love) simply vanishes. As for Silco's arrival, what he says and what that actually means moving forward, that's a whole other thing and it's NOT what most people think it is... but this post is already long enough. I'll probably get into that in the comments of final episode of this truly excellent series of reactions.
"Don't... please don't explode." Man, things would have been so different if they had. This is a series that hits you with what feels like relief and then yanks it out and leaves you kissing concrete. Hard.
People before Powder does something: “Powder do something..!!! Yes.. put them all in there.” After Powder does something: “WTF POWDER, WHY’D YOU DO SOMETHING….?!” 😂 like what do y’all want.
Loved the edit! I’m sure it took a while to get everything lined up to flow as smoothly as it does!! Only critique I’d have is to add the names of who you are showing, at least for the first clip that they are in. I know you have them in the description, but I think it would be better for anyone being exposed to someone for the first time. It took me a hot minute to find the person I wanted to go watch their full reaction xD
Thank you. Yeah these take a lot of time. All the reactors are listed in a playlist in the description so it’s not hard to find them. They’re also listed at the end with a card linked to the playlist during the featuring section. My cuts are usually too quick so that’s why I don’t add any titles
I just realized that the hole that Vander fly's through with Vi, the one where he falls to his death, is the one that Claggor made. That things like 2 or three stories up by the looks of it, sheer wall's, no foot holds. They were never shown to have rope, so effectively the hole that Claggor made wasn't going to allow them to escape after all, meaning if Powder hadn't shown up they'd of probably all died anyways
All this is the start of a big game. Those who play the game must have noticed the constant presence of ravens near Jinx. And the crows are Swain's companions. He drove Jinx crazy. Told her the runes for the weapons. And having killed the council, he starts a big war. Those who know the lore of the game, probably like me, saw all the Easter eggs.
If I didn't have somewhere to be right after I finished that episode when it came out, I think I would have sat there for several minutes just staring. Processing. I've been truly hooked on the show ever since ep 3. Absolute masterpiece
The old saying "Everyone will cheer you for your success but one mistake and you will lose them all" and the song "Enemy" of the show works too well in this. Everyone is cheering for Powder before they see the results and then blame her after they see the results even though Powder didn't mean any harms.
Ok yeah but on one side, here the mistake could’ve been prevented, and she ended up killing all of her friends by disobeying her sister. On the other side, she’s just a child. I don’t blame her for trying to be useful, but I don’t blame Vi for being pissed at her either. The slap was a big no though.
@@darksistersdelight Both of them are child with different issues but Powder have it worse since she doesn't really have anyone who will show her way, not even her sister. Vi is mostly going her own way and decide to bring along Powder sometimes just bcz she feels like it.
@@free_spirit2100 I think Vi does care deeply and wants her to learn how to be independent, which is why she still takes her on missions despite Pow constantly messing things up and Mylo’s complaints (which she knows he’s not wrong) but, I agree she still must feel some sort of loneliness somehow because Vi and the guys are doing great on their own, she’s the youngest and if she wasn’t VI’s sister she probably would’ve been left out of everything. This is a tough situation.
@@darksistersdelight Vi don't deeply care about Powder and care more about Revolution against Piltover and Vander. @@darksistersdelightas a person who have studied psychology its really different seeing this entire series, i love how people get mad at powder for disobeying Vi but no one gets mad at Vi for disobeying Vander and going to piltover to rob Jayce. Yeah you might say that vi didn't kill anyone by her disobeying Vander but Vi is the sole reason why the police came to the undercity, vander had to surrender himself and inturn was takes by silco, all that becoz of Vi's actions and everyone blames jinx for trying to help. She was a kid with self esteem issues, mylo always put her down, claggor didn't stay stuff outright but was in agreement with mylo and even Vi didn't take her stand and instead reprimanded mylo for talking bad about jinx. @@murabula2092 how about blaming her father for not keeping a closer eye on her? or how about, you blame the government that caused them to even reach this point? but no, keep blaming vi because you guys just want to blame a woman lmao
Commenters: This is not how it's suppose to go.
Arcane: wanna see me do it again.
Pain indeed. Now even more people can see me cry...
Edit: Thanks for featuring me once again
Not such a happy ghost anymore :(
there's something to be said that Vi punching Powder is usually what brings a physical reaction from most people. Like, yes, Mylo and Clogger and Vander's death is shocking, but after three episodes of showing how Powder is the one person she always makes the extra effort to be gentle with, watching Vi turn on Powder like this is so viscerally wrong
Totally understand the outburst, but I almost can’t believe some people were happy to see it.
Yep and that betrayal and abandonment in Powder`s eyes as well as Silco,a criminal from the Undercity of Zaun, taking her in and basically adopting her is what planted the seeds of resentment and chaos in her heart and mind to become Jinx.
she slapped her, not punched her
@@juniper1350 It was still physical, verbal and psychological assault of a minor from an older sister she trusted and admired who in another universe is a walking poster girl for police brutality and shows no remorse for either in either version, stop trying to justify it!
UU
That's what you call loyalty, that's earned when someone gives their life to danger for you. People don't get that fear doesn't do that, respect and a shared goal does
Raven ....I have watched this series you created like 10 times now ... hearing all the reactions from the fans and the emotions was such a great idea. It really brought this series to another level ... i seriously enjoyed this ...thank you my brother and don't stop doing what your doing
Mel is literally the HOTTEST thing ever created in cinema. That seems to be a universal opinion.
This is the episode where it became clear that Arcane was something on its own level.
“We will show them. We will show them all.”
You certainly did, Riot. Outstanding.
Weird how I get more emotional watching their reaction than watching the show on my own
"That was like watching the most emotional episode of Squid Game on repeat."
Damn. I haven't watched Squid Game, but that sounds about right. This episode breaks me every time I watch it (and I've watched it way too many times).
The voice acting in arcane is so good
This episode actually had me in tears
Was hoping there'd be a compilation of "yeah, you take your blood money, Judas!" when Marcus threw down the coins. I've watched well over two dozen Arcane reactions, and that was the one thing that was said more than any other. It was pretty amusing how so many reactors had the exact same thought.
I literally started watching this show from your reactions Raven
This show is fire and I don't even play League of Legends lol
Yeah I don’t play either. Will definitely be checking out the fighting game when it comes out tho
looking back at this episode it´s like a car crash that turns into multiple car crashes directly after another and in the end comes the train that wrecks your hopes completely xD
Every time you think a good thing happens it turns out worse, they give you hope at every little thing in the scenes but then it turns around so fast you just sit there and try to put yourself together.
I literally sat there watching and every time someone said "oh it´s good, it´s gonna be fine" I´m like "nope, it´s not, actually it´s gonna get worse" XD And then we all cry together again T_T
The best Arcane compilation editing I've seen so far. Looking forward to the fourth episode and the others. Thank you!
Please don’t stop here I’ve been waiting all week for you please please continue please I’ve been waiting for you don’t stop please
Don’t worry I’m not stopping, one of the reactors hasn’t finished the show yet and has been taking her time so I’m just taking my time too. I’ve been using this time doing as much prep as possible so I can pump out the last 6 episodes over 6 weeks starting next week 👍
@@RemixedbyRaven Thank you I got so worried that you’re gonna stop because I love your channel and I love that you’re doing a show that I love
@@ceceblast5111 he knows he's got something good going when we're begging for it in the comments.
There's so much going on here that is masterfully done in the subtext... so there are signs of Powder's sociopathic nature (more borderline personality disorder with sociopathic traits) going all the way back to the opening scene of the first episode. If you go back and re-watch it two things stand out (long):
First, she's singing and covering her eyes, something she was obviously told to do by Vi to keep her from being traumatized by what's going on around them, but she's peeking and seems genuinely unaffected.
This was the episode that got me like "woah this'll be a masterpiece"
LMAO @30:42 " Poor little corrupted baby" 🤣
"Don't... please don't explode."
Man, things would have been so different if they had. This is a series that hits you with what feels like relief and then yanks it out and leaves you kissing concrete. Hard.
Gotta be one of the best single episodes of television ever made, animated or otherwise.
Outstanding edit, as usual.
I 1000% know that we shed tears watching this episode and how we understand as why Jinx is like who she is...
Well done RIOT... WELL DONE...
Also Fortiche, which is the animation studio.
I love how everyone was supporting or praying for the monkey bomb to go off. they forgot friendly fire was turned on lmao
People before Powder does something: “Powder do something..!!! Yes.. put them all in there.”
After Powder does something: “WTF POWDER, WHY’D YOU DO SOMETHING….?!” 😂 like what do y’all want.
Good question…
I'm crying again, why do I keep doing this to myself.... 😭
Bless everybody who cried at the Vi & Powder confrontation.
I like that it's not just a compilation but has actual edits in it.
As always u killed it with the edits . I already know im gonna come back to this video every week for my dose of tragedy !!
Greatest episode in all of TV/Shows ever.
Love the edit! Only missing thing was SeanTankTop joking about Jayce and Victor "cranking it."
Haha yeah I was gonna include that but I had to make some sacrifices during the jayce and victor scenes otherwise the video would’ve been too long
Ayyyy, we're just glad we're invited to the party! A good editor must make the tough decisions!
I love when someone asks a question you edit an answer from another reactors.
Life isn’t a script where it ends with some destined conclusion. It’s a bundle of chaotic events
@@RemixedbyRaven I saw the playlist on second look, that definitely worked better than clicking on their names one by one! Thanks :)
very well done compilation, accurate for every scene and emotions of the audiences. Man's a beast at editing
Thank you for this man! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes.
I’ve watched this a few times but I just need you to know how absolutely amazing of an edit you have done … thank you!!! This was beautiful!!
One of the most surprising episodes of TV I've ever seen. Up there with Haunting of Hill House and Daredevil as one of the best shows ever on Netflix.
“Woow Powder really saved the day” I choked on my water
I just realized that the hole that Vander fly's through with Vi, the one where he falls to his death, is the one that Claggor made. That things like 2 or three stories up by the looks of it, sheer wall's, no foot holds. They were never shown to have rope, so effectively the hole that Claggor made wasn't going to allow them to escape after all, meaning if Powder hadn't shown up they'd of probably all died anyways
Good observation
They're all experts at parkour dude. Their was another building they could jump to.
20:47 That "YUP!" edit alone makes this video worthwhile.
Absolute fire editing work, @ Raven! I get tears going again with all these reactions remixed so masterfully!
it was truly masterpiece
I was looking for something to watch & my guy provided.
Thanks a lot man
Powder in her head when she realizes that she killed Milo, Claggor, and Vander: I FUCKED up
All this is the start of a big game.
Patiently waiting for episode 4, i subrcribed because of this so please take your time and finish the whole series.
He was gonna get through that door and kill VI. Powder's bomb stopped it and saved her. Sadly in the end, no one wins.
you know what type of parent you're gonna be depending on how you first reacted to powder messing up lol
21:54:..... "Kill Confirmed..."
had me on the floor laughing!
" i don't know why i'm crying" - ehm, maybe because it's one of the most devastating scenes in serial history
Watching literally EVERYONE simp over Mel is so funny to me 😂
Can you blame them?
If I didn't have somewhere to be right after I finished that episode when it came out, I think I would have sat there for several minutes just staring. Processing. I've been truly hooked on the show ever since ep 3. Absolute masterpiece
5:16 "This is way too early to kill him off,"
You are absolutely right!... You have to give it about another 30 minutes or so
of all the reaction compilation, this one the best imo
here have a sub
I’m looking *forward* to this 👀. Thanks for uploading!
The only reason why Vi care about Powder is because she feels that as an older sister and the only blood relative of Powder that she should protect Powder. She is scared to lose Powder because she feel that will make her lonely and she would let everyone from her parents to Vander down. Vi does care about Powder but not Deeply.
Vi and Powder are equally at fault for all this.
I dont play LoL but this show was proof to me that 2021 wasnt all bad... I *will* play the fighting game when it comes out tho
28:26 If the one with the blue sweater would be covering his eyes this frame would be hilarious
