I live next to this track and always go to watch people coming on for their first time! Its really amazing how fast you can progress, lots of corners catch people of gaurd, especially up towards the last straight! Really awesome video!

Awesome video again, if I can say one thing about the Ducati close-call. His lines aren’t the best, being behind him you had seen this on the previous corners, he changes his line often and on this occasion he definitely comes across onto your line, but my question is why are you there? You’re not going to take him around the outside into the corner, so wouldn’t it have been better the backoff a touch and use your mid-corner and exit speed advantage to power past him safely? You’re good on the brakes and easily catch slower riders into the corners, but this sends you wide on exit and unable to open the throttle fully. By squaring off the corner, apexing later you would have the full width of the track to drive past with full throttle from the inside. We don’t see BSB WSBK or MotoGP riders trying to go around the outside of another rider on the brakes into a corner, they overtake up the inside.
Two really good points there Ian, firstly yes the other riders lines were a bit erratic even a few other people said that but I have nothing against him. It was a decision he made to move last minute, it’s all ok. But yes, you are spot on, I think because I am good on the brakes I hover around some riders mid corners but then it punishes me on corner exit especially the Powerful R1 and that immersed torque Ducati , I think if I backed off a bit , have a better exit then I can over take without so much drama. I definitely don’t do all that drama for good viewing I can assure you lol 😂 but yes it’s something I need to work on, slow and patient in and fast out . I think I get carried away , i enjoy following people a lot but then it can lead to undue pressure, stress and silly incidents . Great content as always mate. I have the same bike but no blipper, saving for that one 🙌 What’s your advice on noise limits for the day? I’m looking at the 20/04 at Oulton for my first time - On the site it says static 102 and drive by 89. I have an GP arrow slip on just like BVG’s on bike sausage and 44teeth. I am almost certain it would be too loud…. but any advice would be great. Thank you for the content 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey Piers, I am very familiar with that arrow can , yes that can be loud. I think 89 db is too low on their website . I am pretty sure static that day was 102 db and drive by was 105 db. The best thing to do is to check with the trackday organiser rather then the msv website . 89 sounds too low to me, most bikes wouldn’t pass that lol. And yes I have seen the BVG video especially that arrow dyno , I couldn’t live without a blipper, kudos to you for running no blipper at pace. I struggle with Manually blipping the throttle, I am very inconsistent. It’s been ok for 4 years so touchwood . Thank you for appreciating the video, honestly words like that makes it all worthwhile

Nice learning points for me too take away from your video. I have been tracking for 10 years, and have rarely watched videos of other people, on track. I have now been watching your excellent video footage over the last six months. The improvements on my times have been significant, I have now recorded a laptime at Oulton 10 days ago 1:50. That is 4 secs of my previous. So thank you for education as I watched your video before hand. The hislop chicane incident with the Ducati , I have learnt from going to the outside to pass a rider, it’s not ideal. It didn’t turn out well. Thanks again Abhi.👍👍👍👍👍👍

Great vid, you made good progress throughout the day 👍🏻 am I having deja vu or is this a re-upload?? You should try switching your refresh rate on your gopro to either 50hz or 60hz and try that on a session you don't care about, that should sort the flickering on your dash and make it clearer to view 👍🏻

Hey mate, working on a video on that soon. But on the whole , less tyre wear and progressive slides even it does wear, less movement from the rear. That’s all for now but I really need to do a video on it
