I just bought these to make for dinner with some close friends. The onion "riser" is a BRILLIANT idea and my mouth is watering just thinking about when I get to make this. Great video!
I discovered this at Costco and never looked back. Prime grade and wonderful. Nice touch with the onion!
Thank you!
How much did they charge? I'm debating if I should go with Costco or Omaha but need to know the price.
@@rodrellgreen167 I ran across the Ribeye Cap at Costco last weekend. Trying out this recipe tonight. Costco had them at 15.99\lb
They don’t have them anymore
I’m trying to find them somewhere in Chicago land
I was lucky enough to find a few packs at my local Costco (in San Diego) last weekend!
The onion addition is genius! Thanks for the video!!
Thank you Chef, you are such a kind and patient teacher! You always look like you're having fun and the food looks wonderful as well! I really want to try making this!

Nice video thx...Cooking a cap tonight...Prime from Costco
Thank you!
My top favorite cut !!! I need that flat cast iron pan you got lol
The flat iron skillet is a great pan to have!
Me, too!
The oven degrees to ??? Oh, 450?
Outstanding,
Worst air disaster
Costco isn’t carrying this steak anymore
I’m in Chicagoland looking. Does anyone know where I can buy them?
did you leave the string on there? Looks like you left the string on there the whole time? and cut it off right before serving?
I see many different ways of seasoning this Cap...Anything wrong with just some Montreal Seasoning ?? Anybody has done it ?? Thanks
I like Montreal Seasoning. Haven't tried this on ribeye cap yet but I am sure it would be good.
what temperature is the oven?
n/m, saw that it showed 450
What temp for the oven?
You can go with 400 F.
One little suggestion, use peanut oil instead of olive oil.
Peanut oil has a higher smoking point, but I don't think that will help with this cut. Too much fat. Thanks for the comment.
he sounded so high at 4:59 lmao
Funny!
where have you been?!
what's the oven tempreture?
Hello! It's 450F. You can print the recipe here: cookingsessions.com/prime-ribeye-cap-steak-recipe/
What was your oven temp? 350? or higher? I'll go with 350 unless you instruct otherwise.
Oh gosh. I probably cranked it up to 450
Why are you using olive oil for a steak? The point of a good steak is a screaming hot pan and olive oil has a much lower heat point so it essentially burns at those temperatures. Butter or beef tallow would be a better option I believe. Thanks for the explanation on what the cap part of a Rib-eye was. That's why I initially clicked your video because I always wondered what that part was.
if you just put out a regular once a week video youll double your subscribers in a few months...
Save you money at the restaurant, I’ve never seen it served at a restaurant.
Something about your pepper E-Grinder really takes away from the rustic tradition of burning animal flesh for consumption. Maybe I'm just a weirdo or a steak hipster... but come on. Grind by hand, it even looks cool and everything.... And instead of a whiny "bzzzzzzzzeeeennnn....." you'd have a manly "Krish, krish, krish" sound.
