I liked this channel. It talks about astronomy too and it’s really fun. In addition to teach me astronomy, it makes me laugh. 😂. “This is What If, and here is what would happen, if ...” and “Well, that’s the story, for another What If”.
This was sooo good! I love knowing about the different planets out there. Would love to see another video like this on the “most astonishing planets in the universe.”
It's those satellite telescopes that's sent through space so they can able to see other types of unknown planetary discoveries not only thousands but even millions of light years away. Technology has gone far to build these type of space equipment. Especially the rovers in our Solar system that landed in the planet of Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn. So that explains how NASA can discover unknown sources of materials or clues of other planets still undiscovered in our Solar system.
@_ its mainly computer modeling using data from several different telescopes that each specialize in different ways to look at distant planets. ie different wavelengths of light, different ways of detecting a planet, different methods use, etc we dont actually have anything powerful enough to directly image even the closest known exoplanet. basically its a math problem where we know some, but not all, variables and can work out the ones we dont know using the ones we do. its not an absolute science. we can make a really educated guess as to what a given planet is probably like but at present csnt say with certainty.
Your videos are always amazing. I especially like pics and clips you add to make it easy to understand. It is hard work, you are amazing to do it.👍 Edit :thanks a lot for like.
Thank you for also putting measurements in Fahrenheit and miles! I'm not great with Celsius and kilometers so it's a lot easier for me to grasp when measurements are put "both" ways.
Imagine the fragility of human life on any of these planets and compare that with the egoes that most people have, which is ironically bigger than the universe itself, lol.
Imagine living on a planet that rained glass like, you call your homies up and they like: where you at tho? And you be like: O I’m on a planet where it rains glass. You kno, ordinary day. 💀
The safest planet would have comfortable temperatures all year round, would lack any dangerous natural phenomena, dangerous fauna and flora, including dangerous microscopic lifeforms much as bacteria. The existing animals would be all strictly vegetarian, eating pulpy appendages grown by the plants especially for feeding the animals, which would eat only those, without harming the plant in any way. Everything would share a common awareness. Isaak Asimov has described such a planet in one of his "galactic history" novels, as well as in a short story. In the short story however, the visiting humans find the planet dangerous, as they run the risk of being infected by it so as to become part of its peaceful unified existence and consequently to lose their isolated personalities and so they leave in panic.
Hi, I'm the camera man, just wanted to let you know that I am well and recovering in bed, I shall continue to reveal the secrets of the cosmos very soon, kind regards.
Majority of these planets, I have never heard of...especially the last 2...I have always been curious how they name these very distance planets and exactly how they discover and measure this type of activity especially if most of these planets have such extreme heating temps...we wouldn't be able to get a man-made device near it to gather data...I have always wondered this...guess I need to go out on UA-cam or nasa site to scratch my curiosity
Well I'm no astrophysicist but I'd reckon they use mathematics and equations thereof to make elaborate predictions. But yeah it does sound like a lot of guessing. & that's me being charitable because a lot of skeptics would just say all of this is make-believe bullsh*t made up to get people interested into astrophysics and it's related subjects. But that's a guess too at this point
Not to be a buzz kill, but we have no idea what the conditions are like on any exoplanets. All of the things they mention in this video are conjectures based on what we worked out from the planet's location in its star system and what we know about our own system. We don't even really have a good idea what these planets look like because all we see of them is a distortion in the light from their star as the planet passes between it and ours.
Wow i learnt a lot! I mean, how do people even know these stuff. tHESE people who go to space and find stuff really must be like super brave and smart?! Good luck to all the astronauts out there!
If want to you define how dangerous is a planet, you should consider 1. Surface (Rock, Sand, Water, Gas, Methane, Ammonia , Lava, Snow, Ice, etc) 2. Temperature 3. Orbital stability 4. Content of Atmosphere 5. Speed of wind 6. Speeds of self rotation and orbit around it's mother star(s) 7. Gravity
You lost me with this idea that EV is somehow environmentally friendly. Guess how they are made? Strip mining for rare earth elements like lithium while burning massive amounts of diesel fuel in mining equipment. Or better yet child slave labor in some cases.
I just wanted to ask if I can use some of the descriptions/captions mentioned in the narration of the video for my exoplanets digital artwork? Thank you!
What if Earth had the same size or was bigger than Stephenson 2-18?, but this time every thing inside the planet is also big and can accommodate to its size. I'm sure our point of view of the Universe would be very different.
The idea that water must exist on a planet in order for life to exist there seems odd to me. Sure, water capable of existing there means life as we know it could exist. Other planets could have a form of life that work under different properties than we understand
