I got Mike and Raph so far... not a big fan of them but they have potential. I want to modify the joints to give them more range and paint them for more of an animated look. They're gonna have to be my substitute for the NECA animated stuff, lol. Hopefully they scale well with the Playmates party wagon
I'm all in on Neca Cartoon TMNT. depending on how other characters look and are to scale will determine if I'm all in or all out. I like the turtles how they look except for the scuff mark and a little red paint on Raphael's head. Hopefully it's just your figure.
I came here to see what you thought of Raphael's sais. When I handled them, I felt like I was handling dried up toothpaste. Is that even a kind of plastic?? LOL!
I have these turtles and couldn't complain too much due to the price and kind of knowing what I was getting into after watching a review beforehand, I'm overall happy with them, and I can actually play with them. What maybe annoys me the most is that Leonardo's and Raphael's swords and the sais just don't sit snuggly in the hands!! 😬 They just kind of dangle in the hands!! So that really limits how you can pose the hands with those weapons. But on top of the turtles I have some of the villains and my favourite: the Krang Android body! That robot is amazing, especially for that price! Highly recommend the robot. The villains are pretty good, just have a lot of personal issues with Rocksteady's look. And the villains especially Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady should be a little larger so that they'd be more menacing compared to the turtles when you scale them to each other! So if you wanna show TMNT love in an action figure form and want to even play with them these are fine, but if you want a more polished and specific looks, save up money for those other brands!
I am a huge Turtles fan. I definitely collect the NECA line. I like these for a different reason and that’s nostalgia. They remind me of the original cartoon series and the Archie comics. They aren’t perfect but they are fun and I have definitely been collecting them. I prefer the NECA line but these have been a good addition to my collection.
I usually drill holes on the bottom of their feet if they don't have them works nicely. I also might pick these up they seem priced decently. How can so many toy companies have the rights to the same franchise?
Why oh why didnt they have these when I was younger. I might not be able to play with them now but Im totally going to have to get one of these. Hope they plan to do a Splinter too. Only issue, is that I would have liked Leo and Don to have the belt straps, that hold their weopons, to go over their shoulders but guess they didnt have it like that in the 90's cartoon.
I have the NECA figures with casey and Shredder, I'm not a MASSIVE fan of the turtles. So i'll pick these up. But there's something no one seems to have touched on. Is that they look near identical to the arcade games. So if you have a Diorama you could easily recreate the look of the game.
BST AXN - aka Best Action - is the branding. There's other figures that are in the line, like Cowboy Bebop. I think TMNT is the second or third entry that The Loyal Subjects has in the line.
Hmm, they might! That was actually something I was thinking of trying. I've seen one other reviewer try to use some of these figures with old school playmates vehicles and it kind of worked? 🤔
I finally found these for $17.88 and bought them. Seemed decently priced compared to the Neca four pack which was $150 at Target.

Neca has great Ninja Turtles figures but SH Figuarts also has good cartoon Ninja Turtles as well.

I just don't like any of the figures that this company produces. They scream cheap knockoffs. Easiest pass that I can make with action figures.
