I was just going to get the Android body Krang. I heard some about some really awful breaks on the Neca Krang changeing his parts out. Just having joints that aren't paint stuck and hands that interchange easily is a big plus. Also I'm not sure if any of them had the body split apart to put Krang in before. That helps a lot, and probably made it possible to a fitter a larger sculpt Krang so his face would be more prominent. Now I kind of want the bubble walker as well after watching this. Even though there have been solicitations of a playmates reissue bubble walker soon. I want both. Its a nice five inch scale line that fits comfortably with the old playmates toys. No oversized turtle vans necessary.
I liked how the BST AXN Turtles looked mostly, because they were pretty close to the cartoons (minus the bright neon green skin tone). I found this video because I wanted to see if anyone shared the same thought - Rocksteady looks like it's from a completely different line. I wish it looked closer to the style of Bebop.
I have the turtles, Krang Android, shredder, foot soldier, Bebop and Rocksteady of this line! The figures are growing on me! I at first wanted to collect the Neca cartoon versions but seemed too expensive at the moment so opted to test these out. The Krang Android is my favourite and just seems like a super deal for it's price! The knee joint system looks ridiculous but it's ok. The turtles do remind me of the cartoon versions quite well. Some weapons seemed impossible to fit into a hand, so watch out for those struggles! I think I'm most disappointed in Rocksteady, used to having those bare arms showing and the head sculpt I think has something missing, maybe if the mouth was a little open it'd look cooler. I understand though why they chose the long sleeves: it's so that you wouldn't have to have changeable arms cause it wouldn't work with changing him into a human. With Bebop they can get away with it cause they have the human and mutant version have the same skin colour. Also the long sleeve Rocksteady does remind me of the transformation version of Rocksteady I had as a kid which could transform between human and mutant. The human version looks super familiar to that transformation toy so some nostalgia there. What I like the most about these figures is that (excluding some weapons) they seem to be able to take a beating better than some of my other TMNT collection figures, so I can actually play with them and it's been super fun playing with my 6 year old daughter! I have the original revamp of the playmates turtles and villains but I've gone full nerd with those and not taken them out of the box and I have the Neca movie turtles but again wouldn't dare play with them only do poses! So it's fun to have a line which resembles the cartoon versions for me the most which I can also actually play with! They are real toys! 😁 In that sense price wise and playability wise really good! But if you're all about a certain look and only want to pose them I guess something else will have to do!
These are cool especially if you missed out on necas cartoon line or lack the budget for the pricier lines. BST are 4” on average & sculptures aren’t Neca cartoon level… but average at $20 & look awesome. Just another option , thanks
I am morbidly curious if Playmates will ever release their classics Krang that we saw a prototype of just before the line got cancelled but that Krang was grossly out of scale as it was the same size as Classics Shredder.
I have bought a few of their TMNT figs I'm not a huge fan I really liked their street turtles but I doubt I would buy more of the figures but I do like that krang android body it looks really cool
I am thinking of getting Shredder, sime Foot Soldiers Bebop and Rocksteady from their line. They seem like a rather cheap and collectable alternative to my NECA Ronin stuff :)
The figures are decent for the price, without a doubt I think the worst part of them is the articulation, it looks too fragile and it is, in terms of sculpting they can be improved and also with respect to the paint, but heck, you can't complain too much, especially for the price they have, even much more expensive figures like the NECA figures, come with quality control problems, I have many of these figures and I am quite happy with them, knowing their faults and their hits, my favorite without a doubt, is the Krang android, I think it is the best figure made by BST AXN.
Great review! I think you really explained the thought process behind the design of the Krang action figures and pinpointed what makes them great for a collection. They are doing something different from the other companies, but they do it well. I hope that the BST AXN XL! focuses on TMNT video games through the years. I would love to see them give fans a giant mouser or maybe make some video game inspired vehicles.
I like these. Just not a fan of the 4 turtles. Using different turtles in my display. Lol. My android is arriving today. Just wish they would get their QC up a little. Had to get a replacement on bebop and had to fix a joint on Casey. Also wish they had peg holes.
The scale is less all over the place when you understand that their original intent was to have everything be the same 5”. Not 5” scale, but 5” period. Not a fan but that was what Loyal Subjects said they were going for.
Yeah Super7 way too expensive for me and to be honest, I already had all those figures when I was a kid, sans modern articulation standards. And the Super7 series although it tickles my nostalgia, they're not as charming as the Playmates, if that makes any sense. I'd rather display the original Playmates line... I do have them in storage in unknown condition. They're definitely a bit worn, accessories who knows where. So this is the line for me.

Had to get this figure because I missed out on the neca version and amazon has this Krang for 30$ and free shipping instead of 35$ on BBTS + Shipping

Great review toy shiz I love how the rocksteady and beet bop have the human heads and the krang figures are amazing keep it up man
I need that android Krang looks pretty cool , great review thanks for sharing
They make really good looking figures. I like the mix of looks and styles too. This scale is just too weird for me to collect.
Great collection. Thanks for sharing. Hope Neca does a great Shredder's Revenge line. The designs in that game are really fun.
I'm a 1/18 collector I think the Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady work for my preferred scale.
good review too - just need heights of everything in future videos !

Those double jointed elbows/knees are ridiculous

Can we get an across the board comparison of Rocksteady and Shredder as well?
Sure! Watch my other vids.
@@ToyShiz lol. I did. We don't have one for Rock and Shredhead was missing the Super 7 one.

I just hope they make Splinter and Baxter Stockman
Not a tmnt collector. But like this line 👌
I wish the turtles themselves looked as good as the villains in this line.
I actually prefer this Android krang!
Do these scale well with the ultimates from super 7?
Not at all
@@ToyShiz That sucks :( I wanted to add krang to the my ultimates I just got.
Are they fragile figures? like do the joints break easily or are these like actual
durable action figures.
I’ve seen some that def do break, it seems as times gone on, the plastic has improved, especially on the Android body
That android krang will be a consolation for not getting the first gokin one.

My main issues with their turtles is their paints seem…. Sort of bad. The scale is also all over the place. The XL Krang doesn’t look bad tho.
These would be great to repaint though.

....HAD TO WATCH THIS BEFORE GOING TO TARGET IN CASE I FIND ONE LOLOLS
This is my opinion, of course.. but that Bebop deserves a way better Rocksteady.
I figured that the Shredder got so tired of hearing Krang nag him about the body, that he made it sluggish and poor mobility on purpose.
💎
The NECA Android Krang poroptions are WAY off. He's been skipping leg day for sure. BST Android Kang is WAY better for sure💯
Yea I have the best axn figure of krangs android body
