Robert, can you please do a video on brushes in general? like which brushes are the most necessary ones? what is the difference between synthetic/hair and how do you clean them? also, do they really need to be that expensive? I'd really appreciate your insight on this. Love to you ✨
Really enjoyed led this video but perhaps in one of your videos you can elaborate and show a about 8-12 bushes, along with what they are for and how to use them... just a thought. And I am still waiting on a natural men’s make up, including eye shadow tutorial..💚💚
I'd like such a brush video as well. I was gifted a set of what seems like a billion (okay, maybe 18) brushes and I really just don't know what brush to use for what.
You and Wayne Goss have saved my makeup life. Thank you sooo much. 💜 Your “you’re doing it wrong” series has helped me so much, I’ve been frustrated for years over why my eyeshadow never looks how I want it to, but you’ve made it simple! 💜
My grand daughter recently suggested she wants to check my brushes, and which sort which one I use where. I do admit it is easier to use my fingers, but this tutorial is very helpful. Thank you lovely. X
You're a lovely guy. Just discovered you and have been enjoying you're videos. Tips are great and very helpful. You're voice is fab to listen too as well. Thank you xx
Literally everything you say I’m like 🤯🤯🤯 lol! The one I already do- use the powder/bronzer brush correctly Intuitively! Applying the product on the side so the hairs don’t go crazy!
I really appreciate your videos! I have watched many mua who claim to be professionals who have never ever ever showed how to properly use brushes. I mean even how you applied highlighter in another video I was like oh that’s how you do it lol.
I am absolutely LIVING for your videos now, I wanted you opinion on oval brushes (I use them for liquid foundation already) but I’m not sure how to use them for powders and on the eyes just yet. Would love a quick how to and if you’d recommend them for powder at all? Thank you so so much!
For the holding brushes too close to the bristles: I've had to get used to holding it close but keeping it light because I'm so blind so the mirror has to be so close, and holding my brushes at the end forces the mirror to have to be too far away when I have to cross my arms over. I now can't feel the difference of pressure
Thank you so much for your support! I just got into make-up and your tips are very helpful. When I watch other make-up videos they make me feel overwhelmed with everything that I need to put on and buy to achieve the look. Thank you Robert ! 💛
Very excited to try the liquid foundation brush technique! Thank you. 😊 I would like to request a video on brush care/brush cleaning. I am feeling lost on fidning real information for. How often should the be cleaned? What products should be used (brush cleaner, dish soap, shampoo?)?
When i was little (i am 40) my mom used to use the brushes in the blush compacts, and she would forcefully rake it across, those lil brushes were almost thread bare by the end of the compact because the strands were all matted and broken 😆
Having just learned how very damaging alcohol is the skin cells I started wondering, does alcohol in brush cleaner spray damage brushes? Particularly real hair brushes. Love your video as always ❤️
its more about the application than the brush. i have normal brushes literally anyone would use and i have hooded eyes, but if i wanna do, for example a cut crease, i'd place it above my actual crease so that the color doesn't just disappear when i open my eyes.
Hee hee, a trip down memory lane. The tip to bend the spoolie is something I still do! Great tip Robert. Do you have anymore gems? Btw, I'm off to watch your very 1st upload, ta ta! 💗😍💗
Thank you. I have a lot of brushes and I realized I'm not sure how to use them all. I also had a guy who worked at MAC suggest the weirdest brush I just can't figure out, the MAC 191 and it's very flat. I tried.
You describe things so well for me to understand and I think you are better then A lot of the women and I love how the world is today and that it’s okay for everyone to do makeup. Because makeup is Art and I never thought it was ment for only women
Hi Robert! What's better to use? Natural or Synthetic? What would you recommend for natural brushes? And lastly ✌, what's the best way to apply Pat McGrath's shimmers? I cant seem to maximize them even with eyeshadow primer..
Re the powder brush, the smashing into the palette makes me cringe. My Dad told me years ago that it’s the tip of the bristles that does the work, so no need to scrub with pressure. That goes for your toothbrush too.
pls sir, my name is joe and i want to be a professional like u. sincerely speaking this video is an eye opener for me. i never knew how to hold the brushes right. thanks for sharing.
Omg Robert I love♥️ you 🐤so much for this video I'm new on your channel and just for 2 weeks I totally changed my macke up game Thank you♥️♥️♥️ very much I was looking like a clown👀 🤡till now💪💋
When you smashed the brush into the powder I literally cringed! Whether re it's a makeup brush or paint brush for art that's such a pet peeve of mine. I watched all your doing it wrong videos, and I was surprised at how much I was doing right, I kept thinking I was just weird, turns out I'm not and just doing it like a pro. 😀
When he jabbed that brush in I wanted to grab and hug my powder brushes and apologize to them and say that they will always be safe with me. What maniac would do that?
I like using the flat foundation brush...uh ...er flat...It always seems to give me a thinner more even but buildable layer that a sponge or a round buffing type brush. Horrified at the splaying of the hairs in the fluffy brush.. Not my MAC £20 brushes! Savages. That is who does that. Lol! Also savages dragging your brow skin with a spoolie. OMG. no to pressure and dragging on the skin..shudder pre-mature aging!
You've ruined me (in a good way). I've watched this video, and a few others in this series...I can't UNSEE when people are holding their brush wrong and not blending, just moving product. Or not using eye primer. It's so bothersome and it's EVERYWHERE. Maybe if I close my eyes hard enough it'll just go away XD
Robert, can you please do a video on brushes in general? like which brushes are the most necessary ones? what is the difference between synthetic/hair and how do you clean them? also, do they really need to be that expensive? I'd really appreciate your insight on this. Love to you ✨
You're such a good teacher. I could never afford classes with your level of expertise. Thank you for the freebies. 🖤

Yes! Proper brush cleaning, please!!!!!

Thank you so much Robert!
A video of your favorite tools used for makeup application or any recommendations would be awesome!
This is amazing I'm learning so much in this quarantine
Mind. Blown.
Now I can use that flat foundation brush I hated, yay! Love this video, thanks Robert.
this is the most educational video so far.. saving it and buying as per your recc... thanks dear..xxx
Please do a video just on individual items you like or use, like foundations , concealers, and more.
Robert, I abouselty love you! Your channel is the educating.
Thank you so much! 🖤
I love learning techniques from pros! New subscriber!
I would love to see a "you're doing it wrong" video on techniques for applying makeup if you ever feel like doing that, common application mistakes. 🎄
Hey have have a few ... somewhere on here lol
@@RobertWelsh just saw them!!!!
TOTALLY HELPFUL! Thank you for this. ❤️
I LOVE YOUR EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS!!!!
Very helpful, thanks Robert!
That actually hurt me to see that poor brush being smashed into that powder 😆
Robert would happen to have any tips on how to clean makeup brushes properly or how to clean makeup brushes without damaging them. Thank you
Having just learned how very damaging alcohol is the skin cells I started wondering, does alcohol in brush cleaner spray damage brushes? Particularly real hair brushes.
Love your video as always ❤️
Eye brushes for hooded eyes? 🤧
There are videos on UA-cam that people have made for brushes that are good for hooded eyes
its more about the application than the brush. i have normal brushes literally anyone would use and i have hooded eyes, but if i wanna do, for example a cut crease, i'd place it above my actual crease so that the color doesn't just disappear when i open my eyes.
What’s the best brush to use to apply blush?
Using all my brushes correctly thank you Robert! 🖤
Could we have an updated version focusing on face brushes?
Omg I've definitely been using my brushes wrong ty❤😂
This is really useful thanks xxx
Hee hee, a trip down memory lane.
The tip to bend the spoolie is something I still do! Great tip Robert.
Do you have anymore gems?
Btw, I'm off to watch your very 1st upload, ta ta! 💗😍💗
Very educational video. Im very much surprised how small the number of the comments in this video.
Thank you. I have a lot of brushes and I realized I'm not sure how to use them all. I also had a guy who worked at MAC suggest the weirdest brush I just can't figure out, the MAC 191 and it's very flat. I tried.

Thank you, thank you , thank you for this video Robert…💜
Really learnt a lot thank you 😊

thank you! very useful❤️
I so need this -- I feel like my technique gets worse every day quarantine goes by!
Stab it into your product🤣🤣🤣...... You’re priceless
Thank you!
Hi Robert! What's better to use? Natural or Synthetic? What would you recommend for natural brushes? And lastly ✌, what's the best way to apply Pat McGrath's shimmers? I cant seem to maximize them even with eyeshadow primer..
SeyTak flat brush with firm strokes
@@moomooreeves8886 thanks!
Very useful thank you
Thank you.
I use a clean blending brush with no product on it to blend my eyeshadow
I do the same. I will always go over my blended colors with a clean brush just to make sure it's seamless.
Ok so say yr palette isn't the best when comes to strong pigment wat wud be the best way to pack on colour and intensify it plz
Yay! I use 50% correctly!!! Go me! Thank you.
Thank you thank you 👍🏽
Re the powder brush, the smashing into the palette makes me cringe. My Dad told me years ago that it’s the tip of the bristles that does the work, so no need to scrub with pressure. That goes for your toothbrush too.
You are a great wealth of good information.
Great tips! Love the new haircut btw 🥰
Thank you so much!! 🖤🖤

Really learnt a lot thank you :-}

How do you clean your makeup brushes?
One person didn't like being called out on using their brushes wrong.
It's like ASMR to listen to you speak
One and a half minutes in and I've learnt that I can't say the word "Flick" multiple times in quick succession like Robert does.
Flick flick flick flick, feather feather feather 😄
Omg Robert I love♥️ you 🐤so much for this video I'm new on your channel and just for 2 weeks I totally changed my macke up game Thank you♥️♥️♥️ very much I was looking like a clown👀 🤡till now💪💋

Am I the only one using the same brush for everything?? 😳😬😆 I got a lot to learn!
What if were using brushes how we feel like using them 😋
Of course That’s fine! But if you felt like doing your eyeshadow with a flat foundation brush... that would be slightly wrong
Watching this as I wash my makeup brushes
I can’t help see a video recommendation of yours and not click 🤷🏻♀️
When he jabbed that brush in I wanted to grab and hug my powder brushes and apologize to them and say that they will always be safe with me. What maniac would do that?

You're so lovely
This is so useful , guess I’m fliker now.
♥️💙♥️💙♥️👍🏻💐
Use your brushes however you want depends on their size that fits in your face. Make is like painting, there’s not one right way to use brushes.
But there is definitely better ways to use brushes. I've seen some Things...
Sure let me smash my brushes against my face
And ruin them
I'm sure someone who's learning to be a pro wants to know the correct way
Yes,Karen 🙄
if you can use whatever you want wherever what’s the use of having different brushed? they are obviously made for specific areas...
Disagree with you???? Never!
How they are being used SLIGHTLY WroNg no I might as well have used toilet paper to apply my makeup lol
why is Robert less effeminate in the older videos? Not so campy. It's weirding me out.
