Hey Nikki! You have killer jewelry. Would you mind posting where you got them and include on future vids? THAT NECKLACE I NEED!!! lol you are my fave MUA. Love your content!
My fav drugstore brushes are ecotools. Cheaper than real techniques and I think they have more brushes. Plus you can find them in stores like Ross and tj maxx so even cheaper. I got an 8 pack and it usually comes in trays and tins for storage for about 12 bucks. They’re incredibly soft and they’re my fav cheap eye brushes as well.
Please do the eye shadow version, Nikki! Even if don't love drugstore brands for eyeshadow, would love to hear why and what mid-high end alternatives you'd recommend. Thank you!!!!
I find that using my cleansing balm or oil, and essentially double cleansing my brushes once in a while gets the stains out so well! That real techniques set is the BOMB. The only thing missing from that set is something a bit finer like a liner brush
NYX crease brush #16 (black plastic barrel) blends transition / crease wonderfully- I have several brush collections but I always use this one. Hard to beat!
I have all the Real Techniques brushes by Nic and Sam Chapman. They are all fantastic and the $7.99 setting brush is good for so many things. I often see their brush sets in T.J. Maxx for less than $10 for a set.
Oh man! All these great inexpensive brushes! Now I know what to get if and when I need to replace my MAC brushes! I also love relearning what to use when and for what products. Thank you!
Great video, thank you Nikki! Real Techniques, and e.l.f. brushes are BOMB & SO affordable, they wash well & last for years. Great tips from a great professional MUA ✌🏾😉
My favorite drugstore brush is the real techniques multitasking brush I think it was called. It’s so old it’s embarrassing but I use it daily and love it! I’m going to look for that double ended elf one! Thank you!
Nikki, Profusion also has an eye brush set. It has 2 of my favorite eye brushes of all time in it. Have you tried them? I would love to hear your thoughts on the set. Especially since you loved the face brushes so much!!
Just paused to say, I have all the original pink RT ones as well as the lighter pink ones. It was originally called the deluxe crease brush. I don’t know anyone who would have used it as a blending out shadows in the crease. But it’s a fantastic concealer etc brush. That shaped one you showed after, they came in a Set of 3 originally in a claret red sort of colour. The biggest one is fantastic for defusing bronzer etc. that medium one is great too for blush I personally find. RT is drugstore but some of their individual ones can be as much as £20+ over here so I don’t tend to get them singularly but definitely in sets!
Super helpful, thank you!! I‘ve had the Real Techniques brush set since over 5 years now and I looooove it 😊 Can’t wait to try the other ones you mentioned!! ❤️ Love love love anything drugstore and accessible since I’m in my early 20s right now and don’t want to (or more like can’t) spend a fortune on makeup (hoping to be able to afford some expensive stuff soon though hehe but gotta work hard!!) Thanks again Nikki! :)
What foundation and shade are you wearing? Can we see your favourite foundation brushes? Like the ones you use on yourself and celebrities?? Love this make up look please do a tutorial I love the warm tones My sigma f80 foundation brush fell apart and the bristles are coming out I need to buy a huge bronzer powder brush as I take my bronzer down my neck and chest area, any recommendations?
I love the Morphe x Ariel or x Jaclyn Hill eye brushes. Specifically the blending brushes. Morphe also came out with a new vegan line. I haven't purchased one yet, but excited to try it. They are expensive in comparison to ELF, but only $9-10 each. I'm not the biggest fan of there regular line. Quality just is t the same. RT and ELF really shine with their complexion brushes. They are just amazing and last forever.
Such a good video idea. Ordered a few high end brushes like 4-5 and I think that’s enough spending. Hoping the recommendations are international, on to the video now.
Great video Nikki! I’m interested in the elf duo foundation brush however I’m worried it may not be dense enough. Which brush would you say is denser? Hope to hear from you beautiful💙
Saw this video just in the right time. I actually had in my shopping cart a set of that REAL TECHNIQUES brushes but wasn't sure if they were good. Thank you so much for the review! 💕🦋
Hi Nikki.. love watching your videos. I’ve learned soooo much!!! It’s been a year since this video came out. Can you do another drugstore/less expensive makeup brush?
I love Sonia Kashuk Essentials Eyeshadow Brushes for applying eyeshadow. I reach for them every time. But I haven't yet found a drugstore blending brush I really love.
I blend my foundation down to my neck and chest area at times what brush would you recommend? Also I need a big powder brush to use bronzer form my neck and chest any recommendations?
Nikki, thank you sooo much for your review. Coming from you I have no doubt these brushes are awesome. I have tried the double ended Elf brush and it’s really good. Am gonna buy the other complexion brush and use it for my foundation, your opinion definitely convinced me I don’t need to spend a ton of money to get s good brush. Love your videos❤️💙
It’s interesting, a lot of people love the real techniques brush (no 200 I think) and I bought it because of good reviews. However I cannot get it to make the foundation look good on my face. I recently did a side by side comparison with a beauty blender on one side and the RT brush on the other. The foundation looked very cakey, patchy and dry on the brush side, while the beauty blender side looked flawless. Do you have any idea why that could be? Any tips would be appreciated. I bought a new brush that I haven’t tried out yet, hoping that it’s gonna be better.
Hi Nikki. Thank you for your recommendations on drug store face brushes. I’ve got the Real Tecniques brush set you showed. I’m on the search for a great eye brush set or individual ones. But know I want more “ high end ones”. I do have slightly hooded eyes with loose skin on eyelids. Which ones do you recommend? Thank you sweetie. Always enjoy your videos.
LOL i came to this video cuz im new to makeup but turns out i already bought most of these!! 🤣 i guess because i am a painter, i had an eye for the brushes that would be best. I love the shapes of the real technique but their bristles are a bit rough and not dense enough for me. For cheap brushes they're great though! The tinyest one is goated.
I'm a huge fan of Profusion brushes, their eyeshadow brushes are phenomenal too and don't get me started on the eyeshadow formula and cream blushes lol
I have 3 of the elf dual ended brushes and 3 of the little buffer real techniques brushes and maybe 2 of the small RT powder brush. Lol. I’m not even a makeup artist just have a brush addiction. I love love love the wet n wild highlighter brush the black one. I have a bunch I use them for everything too. I’m still a ride or die Luxor brush user but they’re so expensive and I love my makeup geek brushes so sad you can’t get them anymore. You should try the wet n wild brush. I’ll update this comment with the actual name when I get home. It’s a life changer
I have ONE wet n wild crease brush that is amazing. I tried to buy more of them and they were all different. The one i have is old.... like when their white brush collection first came out. But i have never been able to find one that performs the same or is as good... buuuut maybe someone else will? Lol
I agree with another subscriber the morphe x Ariel ( they have an eye collection for 40$) and the new vegan brushes by morphe also pretty affordable and they are amazing.. even the JH collection by morphe they are all really good and nowhere near high end prices.. and I don't love the original morphe brushes but these collections have been super good quality 👌
Great video! I absolutely love Real techniques brushes, the iT cosmetics brush my FAV!! Definitely agree with the elf being a dupe. I've got like 3 of those myself 😅 And it's also a plus for us makeup artists too lol Thank you for sharing 💕
I just subscribed to your channel and I LOVE your content and expertise. Great examples, how to’s, tips, etc. Can you help us out in with how you store your brushes, and in particular, duo ended brushes? Thank you.
I feel like no matter what I do my concealer and foundation or bb cream or tinted anything liquid face base always looks streaky and unblended with a brush help!
Are people with wrinkles supposed to wear makeup? Mature skin does nt go by age. Its the skin thats mature. I see other artists do their moms & because they are 60 & up the artists call it mature skin, but their skin is impeccable! Not 1 wrinkle, loose skin texture etc. I have smile wrinkles, around my mouth and chin, forehead & under eyes otherwise my skin is smooth, normal, light neutral. Im extremely expressive all the time lol. Am i screwed? Oh on top of that im totally blonde blue eyes. My lashes & brows are clear basically. So ive got so much going on. Taking very good care the best makeup. I love it all, but should i ????
If it’s something you love you should do it!!! When I think of people I know who have beautiful makeup, 2 older women are among the first people that come to mind. One of them often has really bold makeup, coordinated with her equally bold outfits. It suits her personality so well and I can see it really makes her happy! And one of my relatives has a more elegant makeup style which suits her well too. She always looks so put together, and she’s hilarious and very expressive so she must’ve found some way to prevent creasing. Unfortunately I don’t know her secret! But whatever style of makeup you like, I feel confident that there’s a way to adjust it for your skin. It’s okay if it takes time to figure out! You can still have fun learning and trying new things in the meantime. I’m still young but I find Nikki’s videos where she compares all the different kinds of products really helpful. She did one on drugstore foundations not long ago, and I remember there was one she strongly recommended for mature skin. Good luck, I hope you find the advice you’re looking for!
Thanks so much for that. I am having fun and trying everything. Unfortunately I like high end & luxury makeup and skincare. I did buy that foundation she recommended!! It's really good but I think I just found my foundation(I have them all) Tom Ford is working for me so far. But I will use all the others even if I have to start mixing foundation, serums & primers. I just started doing that. I love Nikki. She's the one who got me back into it & I can't stop. I buy everything Nikki recommends lol. I'm practicing every single day. Thanks again for your support. It's so appreciated!! Have a good one. Ps... tomorrow Nikki is live!! 🫶🫶

Real techniques >>>> I also love eco tools their purple sponge is so good
I find that using my cleansing balm or oil, and essentially double cleansing my brushes once in a while gets the stains out so well! That real techniques set is the BOMB. The only thing missing from that set is something a bit finer like a liner brush
NYX crease brush #16 (black plastic barrel) blends transition / crease wonderfully- I have several brush collections but I always use this one. Hard to beat!
Good to know we don't have to spend a fortune to get great results. Thanks, Nikki!
I’ve been in need of replacing brushes-TYSM! Sonia Kashuk also makes some great brushes! I agree, quality drugstore eye brushes can be hard to come by
Nikki would you please do a video on your favorite high end eye makeup brushes. I need to buy some and I would appreciate your advice.
I have all the Real Techniques brushes by Nic and Sam Chapman. They are all fantastic and the $7.99 setting brush is good for so many things. I often see their brush sets in T.J. Maxx for less than $10 for a set.

Thank you! Very helpful and informative. Always grateful for these type of tips that work and save $$$.
Nikki, Profusion also has an eye brush set. It has 2 of my favorite eye brushes of all time in it. Have you tried them? I would love to hear your thoughts on the set. Especially since you loved the face brushes so much!!
Nikki, great video! Which eye brushes do you like best?
I need this eyeshadow in my life Nikki! It's so pretty!!
I know this is random, but could you do a video on where you get all your jewelry? I love all the pieces you wear! 😍
Yes agree that elf brush is great and those real techniques brushes are wonderful. Love a good brush tutorial thx 🙏🏽 Nikki

RT and ELF really shine with their complexion brushes. They are just amazing and last forever.
Love this video. I like Zoeva for eye brushes. Not really drugstore, but kinda affordable and really easy to find (in EU).
Such a good video idea. Ordered a few high end brushes like 4-5 and I think that’s enough spending. Hoping the recommendations are international, on to the video now.

Great video! Thanks for the tips! Morphe & Profusion have some reasonable eye shadow brushes...
Luxie Beauty and Bdellium tools are soft and I used their eye brushes and eyebrow brush.
Great video!!! Thanks for the dupe for the It Cosmetics brush!!! Love it!! ❤
What do you think about the eye makeup up brushes from colour pop?
I'm a huge fan of Profusion brushes, their eyeshadow brushes are phenomenal too and don't get me started on the eyeshadow formula and cream blushes lol
