This is interesting little archetype, and yeah, this deck worries me for how much beat down they can do! First Flame Swordsman and now these guys, fire monsters are certainly getting some love. Hopefully more cards are added to this archetype.

I don't think it can. (I've been labbing since almost day 1.) It locks itself into Dragons, but Dragon Link dark locks itself, and this Tenpai Sangen is FIRE. Can't use sinful spoils because nothing is lv1.
@@yusheitslv100 the card that locks you into dark is the Rokket stuff, and you usually do that nearing the end of the combo. This seems like another starter
@@PoorPlyser a little bit after Nova posted this, someone in the ocg topped with rokket tenpai (rokkets are for a going first play because WANTED decks need subversion to out borrelend)
So, you ever watch a Tenpai player run into Timelords for the first time? I love this deck aesthetically as much as I've come to hate it on the ladder and that was one of the greatest moments ever. Remember Kids, reading is a critical skill in text based card games.
Fun fact, Trident Dragion is one of the three blank cards the player character receives in Over the Nexus. They might leave too much room for more degenerate combos, but God am I grateful that this archetype can rely on such a simple combo chain.
Trident Dragion will be a Synchro I will always remember. In a Gameboy ds yugioh game, you get that card, Trishula, and Ally of Justice Decisive Armor in the final duel. Never could summon Trident, but I will make this deck to relive the good old days.

Honestly, always loved Trident. But even for his era the cost was too big for an effect not exactly amazing. So glad they decided to randonly give him some love 😂

15:10 the closest I can think of is SHS battle fist (the yellow tuner) who has an effect that can allow you to syncro summon with it and another SHS monster as long as you destroyed an opponents monster before hand.
Trident Dragion would definitely fit at home in Fire Kings. The problem is, that Deck never had any tuners unless you Counted Fire Fist Spirit as that Support. But it’s more than clear that the majority of Cards to summon it just Didn’t EXIST back in the day! This damn monster was summonable, but WAY too Difficult to Pull off.
That headband on your character there… would that happen to be inspired by Legend of Dragoon? It’s looks pretty similar to the headgear on the Dragoon Knights.
Keep them away from thunder dragon?? I want to make a Shenron deck with Tenpai and Thunder dragons. Maybe some dragon ball looking cards to support it. I don’t even care if it’s that good haha
Its so interesting that in yugioh 30k damage in a turn is alot when most monsters have stat values in the thousands while in MTG 30k in a SINGLE ATTACK is low when life and creature stats are rarely more than 2 digits😅. Most damage ive done in a single attack in MTG is over 800 billion.....😅
By the time Nabiru can be dropped, your revival effects are already live. And with how compact the engine is, you could easily slot in options to bait out ash blossom.

I've liked this deck since reveal, and I've been labbing for the past month and a half. You very much want to blind second, and run as much non-engine as possible. One thing I disagree with you on: I think the only main deck engine card you can run less than 3 of is Fadora. It doesn't pull from deck and is the only name that isn't full combo. I currently run 2. My personal fav? Transcend & trident in general, and bident for the memes. Bident Blast!
An engine is a set of archtypical cards that you can slot on a deck that you like like Fire Kings or Snake Eyes. Like Dark Magicians can be played with small engine of Branded cards or Blue eyes together with Dragon Maids. An engine can be consist of small package depends on the archtype itself you choose to use.
I bet TCG players will turn this to a turn 1 deck too like what they did with Mikanko. That format hates going second like hell. That's why its very boring
We absolutely will, we are so afraid of interaction the meta not only revolves around going first, but usually setting up a board with enough negates the opponent doesn't actually get to play (Yet also claim that we crave interaction and that's why we load up on 20 staple cards whose main purpose is disrupting the opponent's plays)

As a Flower Cardian Player, I can say that you are absolutely right. Tenpai's are better.
But Flower Cardian will always be better in my heart.

Unless I'm missing something, Baidora and Faadora aren't tuners so they can't synch with the level 7 to make the level 10

That combo gets hard countered by Ash Blossom & Nibiru, but it's a deck of Fire Dragons, so I'm conflicted
