I did this mod to my World Timer and I thoroughly enjoy it. Obviously, the stock watch from Casio is a great watch for the money. This mod just makes it feel a little fancier.
I bought the same kit for mine probably 12 months or so ago Chris. I loved the conversion! I actually like the bezel removal btw!😎👍🏼
Nice video. Without the bezel the watch looks like a touchscreen smart watch. I wish this kit came for a DW5600 where I could just move the guts into a full metal case and bracelet also.
I’ve got the all black version; the finishes match up and I am very happy with the fit/finish/overall quality for the price. Prefer the moded version over the stock watch.

I have a 2100 solar I’m thinking 🤔 of modding-skxmod has some cool options (thinking FKM rubber).
It looks like quite a nice kit, though the quality certainly doesn't match the price.
I'd say it's worth (case and strap) about $65 - $70.
Vario makes a really nice leather strap for that watch.
I just took out the black faceplate and I like the look of the open screen face, but I opted for the black case and this emphasizes the white plastic spacers around the module. Now I'm going to have to fiddle with modifications to the faceplate, because I can't un-see those white spacers....
Anyone know of a steel case for the AE1000..?
I don’t mind the faceplate, but the one thing I wish they did differently with it is situate it closer to the module display, so there are no shadows coming into play at weird angles.
I agree with you that the DATE on this CASIO Royale watch should be bigger. There is some empty space real estate on this watch.
The DATE and TIME on the CASIO model W96H-1BV watch is much bigger ! I can see the TIME on it easily from 1 meter away.
It is my favorite digital watch because it shows the TIME, DATE, DAY and YEAR all on the face without having to push any buttons. You look at this watch and it shows everything at one glance.
I removed WORLD TIME & ILLUMINATER with Rubber on end of PENCIL,, 3 mins rubbing. Gonna take Grid out. 🙏🙏🙏😎
seeing how cheap the casio are on amazon, this is amazing to make a great movement last its full 10 yr battery life.
I don't understand the oil mod, is there supposed to be a big bubble in the display? I just ordered one of these kits... the "World Time" / "Illuminator" is engraved into the steel apparently, but you can request they don't fill it with the ink, so it's barely visible. I think the no-face-insert look is interesting, I will have to decide which I like better! Thanks for the video.

Never considered removing the faceplate entirely. Interesting. Where are my screwdrivers?
Questions: (a) is it possible to get that bracelet bead-blasted in order to match it to the case; (b) why did you put oil in the green Casio?
you can blast the bracelet is the only way, I have the kraneo design case is the same problably I buy the sxk mod bracelet to finish the mod
I think you missed out a step. The face of the Royale should also be transferred to the metallic case, before you fit the module in. Your end product looks a tad naked, don't you think?
He said he left the face out deliberately as he preferred the ‘naked’ look.

I bought the Timex +Hodinkee Dive watch on Chrono24 $226 with two straps, your review sold me sold out on the website. It's one of the cleanest designs I've seen since the Hodinkee Blancpain Colab 👍

For a price range of $150-200 for the mod kit. That's ridiculously overpriced for a watch that costs on average around $35-40 USD

You’d have to have absolute f’ing rocks in your head to pay $200 for that kit. The bracelet looks like complete trash.
