TEXTURE Effect in Epoxy RESIN Using a Plastic Bag 😮 |

- I used a plastic bag to give resin a texture effect!
In today's video we're going to be playing around with a new texture effect I came by for epoxy resin. This is an easy resin technique that can make your resin pieces stand out and all you need besides resin is a plastic bag and mica powder. I highly recommend using a pearly or color shift mica as it will make the texture lines really pop. Please note that not all plastic bags will work with this technique. Depending on the thickness and type of plastic it may fuse with the resin and be difficult to remove from the resin. # 5 plastic is the kind that does NOT fuse with resin. If you have any questions about this technique don't hesitate to ask them in the comment section.

*When working with resins make sure you are working in a well ventilated room and be wearing the right PPE. Resin is a chemical and can make you sick if you don't take the right precautions.*

YESSS! You're so right.
💯%❣️
The result is gorgeous ! I am about to try this technique ......nervous but excited :) Thanks for the inspiration xxx
Good luck! 😊
It looks like silk! ohmygod, disney princess dress coasters!! PLEASE I'm begging!
Amazing! I've seen this done on nails. It's better done here.
I tried this a few times, and did it with the first pour, instead of doing a second shallow pour. It's always so pretty and I love how non of them look the same. It's an amazing way to get some personality to individual pieces
That is GORGEOUS! The powders you used.... PERFECT .❤✌️
Thank-you. They're one my favourite micas! :D
I tried it using Saran Wrap. I crunched it up way too much & too deep, and I couldn’t get it all out! So I just left it in and poured my last layer.😊
Now you need to make yourself a silicone mold of this!!!
Oohhh I hadnt thought of that! 🤔💡 Thankyou for the idea!!
This is just gorgeous!
Greetings from Tucson, Arizona..
Just discovered your channel and subscribed.
I've done a few pieces with the plastic using UV resin..
So, I started working at Domino's. I didn't have my pH on me discussing it, so it was wild the minute I decided to start searching for ways to make resin or epoxy project I instantly got you as a suggestion. What are the odds?? Our recipes will start flying off the counter when customers enter bc of fall 🍂🍁🍂🍁 🍃🍃🍃🍃. I had an Idea to make paperweights but with resin using either Domino's or fake poker chips
.. here I am and you mentioned Domino's and fast cure in the glitter dirty pour. What a fun journey your channel has for beginners. I can't wait to try. I was wondering what to use and instantly seeing the molds & it clicked instantly . Because I already figured plastic cups might not work... Thank you so much !! I also really love your voice...
What about adding a layer of marbles or stones on top of the plastic?
oooo I might have to give this idea a go.👀
Looks stunning love it
So very pretty - I love it!
Can l use wrapping paper? If so, does it need a certain backing? How about celafane wrapping paper?
Celafane should work as long as its plastic as for wrapping paper I don't think so.
Bummer. Paper good for modge poge and resin on rocks!
I love it! I will definitely try it too!
So impressive! Is this technique also good for silicone texture mats?
So pretty ❤️🇩🇰
Lovely and beautiful! You did it!
Yess Im so happy it worked lol😁
Beautiful!!!!!
Btw- where did you get the color shift from? I didn’t see anything listed.
That is gorgeous! It looks like fabric floating in the resin. 🩵
I know it lack glitter but its definitely lovely.😊
@JBKonsCreations The silver shines so much, the glitter isn't missing. 🌟

Merci beaucoup 😘
Can you purchase plastic on amaxon?
How did you clean up the overflow ??? And it's beautiful 😍 ❤
I just used an exacto knife. I just realized I forgot to put that clip in the video.😅😫
@@JBKonsCreations i just ordered my deburring tool ,it has a little more control, over an exacto
@@robertalordagarcia9992 Ooo I did it before demolding it. The resin was actually still a little soft so it was easy to cut it.
😮 it came out gorgeous 💖
Love it!!
Nice! Definitely plan to try this.
What happens when bubbles are still in the project after the resin has cured, before the last coat of resin.
They stay there forever unfortunately but depending on the project they may add to the piece. In my coaster I ended up with a couple of bubbles getting stuck and in the end they look like little pearls. :)
I havent tried it, but i will.....
That turned out beautiful, your sense of color is spot on, kudos girl!! Thank you for sharing and God bless. 😊❤️
I love this! I will try it soon.

That is beautiful 😊
Thankyou. 😁
Absolutely beautiful! After see g this, I ran across some irridescent organza fabric I have on and, and I wondered how it would look in resin for a similar effect. It seems like it'd work flat or scrunched up. Also, your nails are gorgeous❤
hehe thankyou! Yess I think the fabric would work. ☺️
