Today’s feature is the story of how for some people, rap is just not for you. When you find that out you need persistent belief in yourself, along with the foresight and humility to see what isn’t working, retool and find a plan that will. Also a deep love for what it is you do that keeps you pushing through difficult times. In hip hop as an artist, Yung Berg had his share of difficult times. When social media began using the phase “took an L”, It was mainly guys like Yung Berg that started the publicity. I still remember his iconic transformer chain going on tour from city to city, neck to neck, only without Yung Berg. And who can ever forget the grand opening, grand closing statements he made back in 2008 about not liking “Dark Butts” as he refers to any woman darker than him, or any woman that can’t come out the pool looking ugh, white. This is added to the mountain of un charismatic remarks made over the course of Yung Berg’s career, that not only eventually ended his career effectively, it’s now his duty to try and clean every ounce of memory we’ve ever had of what was a disappointing character named Yung Berg. What ever that means. As far as technically, as a rapper, Mr Burg was never in contention to be the best rapper alive, or even the potential to be the best artist, but what he did have was timing and opportunity. Then What Happened?
