I feel ashamed that the Leftie Loonies want to tear down statues of great men like Churchill and many others, the desecrate War Memorials.
They are too stupid to realise some of the fallen and maimed could have been there forebears. They are disrespecting the Millions of men and women who gave their lives, to give these Morons freedom of speech and the right to protest.
Had the Nazis won WW2 they would probably have been shot or put in Concentration Camps. The Homosexuals and Trans people and Lesbians would all have been shot.
There are over 6 million Jews, Gypsies, Disabled, and Mentally ill al murdered by the Nazis. The poor deluded fools have no idea how lucky they are.

As a American I have to say that I hold a great and deep respect for the Australians, they fight like devils and have the hearts of lions, hell even Mustafa Kemal Ataturk following there withdrawal from Gallipoli had nothing but praise for them. One battle that sticks out to me is the battle of Long Tan in Vietnam on which the Australians held out against a much bigger Vietnamese force and due to it Lyndon B Johnson (then president of the United States) gave them one of the highest honors a unit can achieve which was a Presidential Unit Citation

Lovely thing to share with us Weed Whacker, thank you. This song was done as a tribute to our local diggers who, for the first time in history, could not attend an ANZAC day service in our local area because of Covid. I'm sure you'll agree that all who served deserve to hold a place in the memory of the fortunate. Cheers, Paul

but it was the Kokoda Track,

@@jackbrady9738 Sorry Jack. That's WOKE bullshit. And you should know it! Aussies don't (shouldn't) say Trail. Try this for size, "There's a trail winding back to an old-fashioned shack along the road to Gundagai" Doesn't work mate...why? Because it's a "Track winding back to an old-fashioned shack"
Stop trying to take away our culture just because you read too much American.

TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ: It's actually a good Americanism to call it a trail, because it's more Respectful to the reality of the situation, therefore it's more Respectful to the ANZACs. So I'll continue calling it trail, thank you.
      -
I love where you're coming from; please keep up the Good fight: Aussie culture is pure; keep it diverted and bastioned like a retaining wall, protected from being swallowed by the ocean of Americanisms. I love it.
What I said about track vs. trail isn't woke, and please, how DARE\\ you refer to that word; please from now on refer to it as the "w-word" i am that offended by it.
nah but really - i fucking HATE woke. i am here to destroy that KGB influence antisemitic anti capitalism disrepecting the Diggers dog shit: I'm not even full of it either; I'm literally going to Parliament tomorrow to protest these filth.
That is all to say^, to qualify myself Aussie enough to say this: I am definitely not using a crude Americanism in favour of a specialised concise Australianism. I am actually being respectful to the Diggers on Kokoda: our first line of Defence (second technically: The Battle of the Coral Sea; was the first).
You are right on this: today, it is Kokoda Track.
Track being: a rough path or road, typically one beaten by use rather than constructed. Oxford definition- yes theyre poofta 'think ya smart' wankers; take it or leave it - you gotta give them credit here though: they do hit the nail on the head when it comes to universal english definitions.
That is what it is today: A track. It is now one that is beaten by use. Yes, you are correct, that is what it is today. The Kokoda Track.
      HOWEVER.
Back when those Diggers were on Kokoda, our first (ground) line of Defence. There was no track, son. It was not 'beaten by use'. To call it even a, 'rough path', is insulting to those gentlemen who protected and sacrificed on that untouched jungle terrain. Because, it wasn't just 'rough', nor was there any 'path'.
It was just hazardous jungle wet disgusting filth mud leech terrain.
Now, when the first Kokoda Digger gentlemen, who first forged, what we now see today as a beaten path: a track. What the men who held the machete at the front, saw, all they saw in front of them was just pure jungle.
Now what would you call what is left behind when someone who is cutting down untouched hazardous jungle terrain with a machete? Is it travelled through enough yet to be a track, beaten down by the stampede of swollen feet? I don't think so. What's a more apt description of what the gentlemen who followed behind the machete were left with? A trail.
      What is a trail?
Like a contrail left behind of a swift fighter jet; a wisp of air so faint, if one was to look up in the sky to bear their direction by the sun, they might miss it.
Like a trail of dust left behind from an old workened ute on the highway, if you're travelling fast enough, you could miss it: a trail.
Moreover, to move from the 'feelings and metaphors' of words, to being 'technical' Oxford based. A trail, when used as a verb, is: you're 'trailing' behind someone, you're 1.walking or moving slowly and wearily (oxford). It also means, 2.to be drawn directly behind someone/something (oxford).
Exactly as it would've been for those Kokoda Diggers: 1.wearily and slowly 2.walking directly behind.
So both the technical and the 'feeling' of the word 'trail' FAR better suit it to be called when referring to it for how it was, "at the time".
it's more Respectful to the reality of the situation: There was no track. It feels insulting even to call it a trail. It should be called today, the Kokoda Track. But we need to call it another name, a word that encapsulates a feeling of a "slow, dreary, 'in-line' trailing march/walk".
      SIDENOTE:
TBH, let's say one could take everything away from the Americans, the one thing you can never take away, even if you were given all the Power of the Infinite Ethereal Essence; of God itself: their People's Respect, devotion, loyalty, and Trust in their Military. They don't get things wrong when it comes to their military.

Thank you to all the Australians who fought to defend Vietnam from the communists and their Chinese collaborators. Don't listen to the leftist Western or communist propaganda. Most Vietnamese appreciated your sacrifice. The Western media doesn't report on it, but the VC were decimated during Tet. From then on, the communists had to send soldiers in to attack from North Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The Southern insurgency had ended. Some else mentioned, they weren't VC (South Vietnam guerilla communist) tanks that rolled through the Presidential Palace in 1975, they were North Vietnamese.

But you are right. The politicians in both countries were dishonorable. The cause, a free democratic Vietnam, was just. I am crying now because at 80 I just had an epiphany. To all the people of Australia and New Zealand always remember how we the ordinary citizens of the UK will always appreciate you. Like yourselves we live in very strange times were our so called politicians force mandates and bad science upon our peoples. Our corrupt press lie daily to you.
We could certainly do with the ANZACS today. Thanks always.

These are Australian heroes and we hasten to forget them, those who should never be forgotten. We are now a nation divided by politicians who seek to only keep their positions of power to the detriment of the silent majority. It has now become a shameful thing to call yourself a proud Australian and rejoice on Australia Day ... Who would have thought that even remotely possible when these heroes went off to fight fascism.
