I think it is just a coincidence, that she became so famous and received help from the community, despite being laughed at.
The main contributing factor might have been the fact, that she seemed to be very sincere in all her vids, she was acknowledging, she's done something really stupid. But most of all, she was not behaving horribly obnoxious, like some other tiktokers.
Overall I'm really happy that people eventually helped her, it restores my faith in the humanity a little bit.
Coincidence has found a new meaning in the age of social media and in the face of 7 billion plus earth population.

@@faizanalvi3932 You can bring suit for pretty much anything in the USA. But it would be an expensive way to be laughed out of court. Gorilla doesn't have to predict every eventuality brought about by sheer ignorance or laziness.
If you were to lose such a case, you would likely be liable for their costs too.
There's neither antidote nor legal recourse for stupid anywhere in the world so far as I'm aware although the USA has a habit of prosecuting some pretty dumb things and the cost of these suits can echo for decades.
Just look at Erin Brockovich - heroine? Nope. The film made out there was a danger that was never there and they money PG&E paid out was cheaper for them than litigating the case.
Same with the multitude of glyphosate/Roundup cases. Billions being paid out and most of it going to ambulance chasing lawyers that are using debunked science (i.e. bullshit) to pull the wool over juror's eyes.
Both of these cases relied on difficult scientific evidence that causes people to glaze over because thinking is hard.
In Gorilla's case, any reasonable person could look at the instructions and understand it's not a f**king hairspray.

In her defense, there is a product called "Gorilla Snot Gel", which indeed is hair gel.. I kind of suspect that she had the two mixed up or thought those were the same company.

I sincerely doubt that she confused Gorilla Glue with Gorilla Snot. You don’t find them in the same area in a store. And, most people would not store them at home in the same place.

This is not about fame in social media, it’s about the sadness of getting your hair to look straight. This is a multi billion dollar business just here in the U.S. The pressure on women to conform is enormous, and I’m sure this was part of the reason Ms. Brown subjected herself to this experiment. Her misfortune gave her the wrong kind of fame, but the empathy she received was heartwarming.

I think what a lot of people overlook is the brand of hair spray Tessica normally uses calls itself, "Got 2 B Glued." Which would not be a leap for someone who uses that brand of hairspray to think glue spray would safe to use on hair also. Got 2 B Glued Hairspray might want to rethink their brand name as it clearly does give people the false impression glue is safe to use on hair.
