Hahahahaaaaaaa Sir your Comment is top notch
You forgot one banger
"It might be a tumor."
Clowncore and Igorrr what a treat.
Hell yeah!
could not agree more. after seeing his clowncore reaction and hearing him say that he had igorrr next i almost jumped for joy
I know, right!
Worked out perfectly!
You better know "ATR" ;P
MAN... you didn't want to watch the video - but you couldn't stop peaking 🤣
I think that IGORRR has the perfect name because it sounds like music a mad scientist would make. really insane stuff.
He is exactly that. If you aren't familliar this is the most normal song in terms of actual music. He even added the extra 2 rs to Igor so it would be harder to pronounce.
@@kredonystus7768 and considering it is supposed to be pronounced in French, that makes the extra R's even harder to pronounce lol
Might be a nod to igor Stravinsky as well as he was accused of being too chaotic by his critics
Problem is that many scientific project is a failure. Honestly this "song" made me realize this is not a song, it's who knows what. But because of Ieud I was trying and trying to listen to new songs, but more I listen less I liked every other song. After this one I said to myself "ok, no more" I am coming back to music
as i first discover the Igorr i tought of "I Gorrr". as if some one ask "what kind of music igorrr do? I Gorrr" XD
The music in the ending with the old man and the motorcycle is another Igorrr track called “Parpaing” featuring corpsegrinder fisher on vocals from cannibal corpse - another fun track, well worth a look
RESPECC THA NECC
Easily the best track on the album imo, and kind of comes out of nowhere in the playthrough.
@@keenannaugle9714 this is an underrated tactic when creating an album
Great track, but I don't feel like that song represents what Igorrr is known for. ieuD is the go to for Igorrr
Jpp is it really called Parpaing? It means "brick" but with a southern French accent, a kind of French meme
Igorrr actually started as a completely electronic project. He used to sample instruments(often played by him) and program some pretty metal, breakcore and baroque music. The more the project advanced the more he could actually hire musicians. Still as weird as it was. Hope you keep doing more!
During early Igorrr, he made an electrodeath metal project Whourkr. m.ua-cam.com/video/qlvGerziGmc/v-deo.html
It explains how he madly wants to combine metal and electronic music.
He's also the composer and sound engineer for both of these projects.
This is 2006, same year as the first Igorrr album. Insane. Igorrr turned classy and elegant now. While this, is like a descent to the primitive age of mankind! Haha
m.ua-cam.com/video/j7fT1kGqyRg/v-deo.html
he does get more normal with every release. nostrill was much more ADHD-disconnected than the newer stuff e.g. for me halleluja is still the best one.
@@adrianbenedictmendoza6818 He has another band, with some of Igorr's band members in it as well. It's called Corpo-Mente and it's yet another combination of the same genres and it's absolutely wonderful.
I actually learned about Merzbow because of Igorrr's sampling of "Aqua Necromancer" in his track "Brutal Swing"
So much win in one project, and so many worthy projects Spun off of it!
Breakcore?
Igorrr older stuff had more of this style.
But I’m going to recommend Himalaya Massive Ritual... again 😀
Tout Petit Moineau is Igorrr at his best imo.
Seconded. The vocals in that are amazing too.
Himalaya Massive Ritual is my absolute favorite
Same, though the whole album is just perfect
I recently got back into Nostril and Hallelujah, they have some massively epic tracks as well!
I think i might be able to narrow it down a bit more. The sub genre would be Metal Breaks. its a mix of breakcore and metalstep
It makes so much sense to see a composer twitching and twisting in confusion as this song unfolds. Amazing
The French artist behind Igorrr is Gautier Serre, he is a huge fan of classical music, especially Baroque and you can hear it often in his music.
I actually discovered Igorrr very recently, when they dropped this video a year ago I fall in love with them.
Started looking at all their stuff, and songs I suggest:
Opus Brain
ieuD
Downgrade Desert
Also, their videos are very visual and unique!
Oh man. You should definitely check out some Aphex Twin.
I would sugest Gantz Graf by Autechre
Vordhosbn
FLIM
Fenix Funk
Hah, the godfather of breakcore
Igorrr is basically a fusion of breakcore, baroque, metal and other genres.
As other mentioned, this guy has had a hand in Whourkr musical project, as well as Corpo-Mente.
Very talented dude. I just recently realized I have been listening to his stuff for over a decade at this point.
When I first heard Mr.Bungle back in the 1980's I wondered what kind of music would they would inspire in younger bands...this music is so much further down that path than anything else I have heard...
Dillinger escape plan
I love me some bungle. I got bungle fever.
Mr. Bungle also inspired Sykotik Sinfoney, best known by my generation for THIS masterpiece: ua-cam.com/video/gjuUO3clEjU/v-deo.html
You are correct about the music being live, check out some behind the scenes stuff they did on this album, drums, bass, and lots of guest musicians. How he gets it all to sound like this together is mind blowing!
I am physically not able to not laugh when watching that video.
Especially with the middle-aged dude swishing in the airliner dress, it cracks me up every time.
@@zadtheinhaler First time seeing the video (I'd heard the song before, but dunno where) and that part had me snorting XD
I’ve been listening to igorrr nonstop since I found out about him/ them on your other video ! Thanks 😊
They have a lot of cool stuff
The Genre is sometimes refered to as "Breakcore"! I recommend Venetian Snares. Albums like "My Downfall" and "Rossz Csillag Alatt Született" or "My Love is a Bulldozer" are a good starting point for someone coming from classical music.
Rossz Csillag Alatt Született is a good shout, I'd like to see what he thinks of Öngyilkos Vasárnap or something else with an odd time signature of Venetian Snare's
Man, Tout petit moineau by igorrr (live 2014)! I promise you, it is beautiful. Watch it for yourself. Hybrid of barocco with almost opera voice and electronic. Not so extreme as this track :)
Fun fact, at the time Igorrr described his (before it became a full band project) style as baroque-core :)
Yes yes yes!
Dude this video made me smile so much. I just got turned onto this band yesterday and I’m equally pumped about people pushing the boundaries of what is possible in metal (and all the other genres incorporated so flawlessly)
Lovely evening to receive a notification from Geebz reacting to Igorrr
When I'm listening to Igorrr i feel like im listening to somebody that just has fun with music in some weird intense creative way.
Opus Brain is another amazing song of theirs; I would definitely recommend checking that one out.
Their best yet, I say.
Awesome man! Thanks so much for hitting IGORRR again! May I suggest Ieud next? And as far as I know, IGORRR is its own genre.
More Igorrr! You should do Ieud or Himalaya Massive Ritual
+1 for Himalaya Massive RItual
IeuD!
Himalaya massive ritual is so fucking groovy and heavy
Yeah, I love it!!
More igorrr please, do ieuD next.
I've only just found your channel and I really like your personality. It feels a lot more meaningful than most all other reaction channels. Very much looking forward to binging your videos lol
Just started listening to Igor as well, what timing!!
IGORRR is an absolute mad genious. He mixes so many genres...probably his most insane track is Vegetable Soup...he used A FUCKING CHICKEN as an instrument. That guy is so damn insane, I love it :D
Also really insane are his tracks "Paranoid Bulldozer Italiano" and "Cheval" :D
I rarely burst out laughing at a song, but the first time I heard Vegetable Soup was one of those times.
Also another song in that album used the sound of vacuum cleaner starting up as riser. That was also a "wait... What?!" moment. But igorrr creates a lot of those moments.
Billy Idol used a saw blade to get just the right sound in 'Neuromancer', but a CHICKEN?! That goes a step beyond!
I come back to this clip ones every few year and just enjoy the build up, absurd and the power this song combined with the clip has… it goes so fast every time you discover something new… it’s one of those songs that lingers in the back for the right moment to pop up…
This song was my first introduction to Igorrr a while back, I clicked on more of their music out of sheer curiosity and my mind was BLOWN. Keep going down the Igorrr rabbit hole!!! (Either on your own or on your channel) ...Parpaing is a banger.
Your upload frequency is insane, love it!
found my new fav channel!! great stuff man! dont ever stop the DAD JOKES. "if you keep it flowing it keeps me goin" i losttt it at that lmao
thank's alot for this video! Many thank's!
I was waiting for this video. Very good 👌🏻
Awesome to see you reviewing this! Thank you!
Fret Buzz, is my new word of the month 😁
The bassist on this one is also Erlend Caspersen, he has a bass playthrough on one of the songs on this album on his channel
Man, i love how you react to these songs, of course you being a composer you dissect and "decompose" the material. I strive to be able to dig into the fabric mesh that holds a song together the way you are able to do so insightfully. If you ever decide to get into The Contortionist again, i would highly recommend Sequential Vision from their Intrinsic album, a ton of cool things in that song that i'm sure you'd love to pick at. The Contortionist has a really great discography and i'm sure you'd enjoy anything from them.
Peace!
I absolutely love the bands you decompose. All bands I love and listen to.
Just happened to come across Igorrr (after going down the UA-cam rabbit hole) but found this reaction video of yours to be absolutely priceless. Seeing you trying to avoid the video and listen to the music was just awesome. The song itself I never heard so I was watching (both the video and you) at the same time and was just awe struck. The music itself reminded me of so many thing. Aphex Twin, Infectious Grooves, Sepultura, BucketHead, the list goes on... But this was a breath of fresh air to hear and see some material like this. Thank you for your insight and thank you for sharing this with others.
Thank you very much Anthony!
The growling voice you hear at the end is George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, the singer of New York death metal band Cannibal Corpse.
Gautier Serre, the master mind behind Igorrr, is a big Cannibal Corpse fan and invited Corpsegrinder to perform on one of the songs on the new album.
There's a "making of" video about the album where you see the guys work in the studio. It's super interesting. The creative energy they exude is infatuating. :D
So glad you came back to igorrr. Please, please do more.
Hahah, your facial expressions when reacting to this is just priceless!
I love the perspective you bring to the table, very cool. I'd love to see you tap into some Faith No More. Epic and Falling To Pieces are two that many would recommend. I personally love the King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime album. I'm still exploring them and that happened to be the first album I jumped into. Anyway, take care brother!
Ayy, this is fya! Never knew about IGORRR.
Dude! More videos from this album please! You’ve barely scratched the surface of what Igorrr has to offer! AMAZING musicianship and composition with instruments and samples.
My dude I can't wait for you to watch their video 'ieuD', that song is absolute brilliance in every way.
When I was a teen and Igorrr was only a solo project I remember reading that eventhough it was a mostly electronic project he liked recording his own instruments, so it wouldn't be surprising guitar and bass were live, it's what I would expect :)
All my neurons are going crazy with this music.
Great job buddy, love you
The portion at the end with vocals is a promo for Igorrr Parparing. You should check that one out too
woow.. videos back to back! Thanks again. Please add this to the waiting track for decomposition: "How the Jellyfish Jumped up the Mountain" by Shpongle
Great stuff!
Great, out there choices today man!
This was the first content by Igorr I ever experienced. I was on 5 hits of acid and let my UA-cam auto play music videos and this video came up. I swear my head actually imploded
I love all sort of emotions on Your face
Yes yes yes yes yes I love this song. The video is even better!!!
I think I might actually follow you. It's good to see somebody who is just down with the music for what it is. Music has been my escape for a very long time and it has a lot to offer. It's good to see somebody else just really enjoying it. I'm curious to find out through watching your videos what you have listened to what you haven't because I've been a records clerk for approximately 4 years and during that time I have piped all of the music into my head that I could find.
Good stuff. I love Igorrr so much.
Igorr is the best of their genre but it’s still rock and roll to me.
Ha! What an experience... never heard this before. Interesting.
That's a badass mix of drum and bass mixed with metal!
Love seeing Igorrr! What a trilogy today, in general!
Please check out Tower by Joseph Magazine. So many great bands and albums go unnoticed, and this album is one of those gems!
Every single video that Igorrr has put out since the release of Savage Sinusoid is definitely worth a look!!!
Another great vid from the de-composer!
I think you'd love what their song Cheval has to offer, as It displays a lot of different instruments along with that tech sound that's very present in this song.
He did that one.
@@QueenBee-py3ks Oh haha 😄 guess I forgot
'Unpleasant Sonata' is my absolute favorite Igorrr song and BOY is it a treat. Older song of his and has loads of harpsichord.
Igorrr has an insane musical range. There is stilla lot to discover, i would be happy to see more igorrr reactions :)
For example Himalaya Massive Ritual :)
More IGORR! Definitely looking forward to ieuD and/or Himalaya Massive Ritual!
That was nuts!
Fingers crossed you get to cover “Sons of Winter and Stars” by Wintersun soon!! It’s a banger and I know that you’re going to love it.
Yes yes yes!
I would LOVE to see this one on here!
It's a good fit for him, because it's literally composed to death. Some could argue it's "overcomposed" if there's such a thing. Because I don't think there's a note in that song that Jari didn't go over twenty times.
Shaved head looks great, man!! :D
I enjoy your song breakdowns from the perspective of a (de)composer. I love music and listen to it in much the same as you, listening closely what each instrument is doing and playing and able to single a particular instrument out in the mix to focus on ratehr than I am into lyrical content. Myself as for the band Igorr I wish you had chosen to "dissect" their song Parpaing with George Fisher(Cannibal Corpse) guesting on lead vocals. Slamming tune with an electronic breakdown in the middle. Perhaps a future episode. Enjoy the channel my man🤘🤘
WOW this is happening! See you in 8 minutes, I'm ready for this ride.
Oh my goodness. I'd seen this before, but you made me check out more Igorrr - now I'm lost down a rabbit hole of enjoyment. This also led me to a side-project called Corpo-Mente. Just one album in 2015. Based around Laure Le Prunenac's vocals (she's in the other Igorrr track you've decomposed). I'd recommend checking out any of their songs!
I've been binging a lot of your content for the past few days and I have to say, I would love to see you react to some Between the Buried and Me.
Here's a few songs I would recommend for your style of analysis : "Coma Machine", "Extremophile Elite", "Sun of Nothing" and "Silent Flight Parliament".
Take care sir!
I caught your tool 46 and 2 and it was stupendous...I have a few for your to check out......Goose the band and mudhaven is the song, alison wonderland is the dj and time is the name of the song. Thanks and your doing a phenomenal job at deconstructing these songs.....keep it up!!!!
Great reaction! You introduced us to some really interesting music here (hear?)
It is simply really good.
This particular igorr track is best watched as a video. I would love to see your review of further igorr stuff. Especially the ones with operatic singing. Chival (or something like that) is fun.
The bassist is a session musician, Erlend Caspersen, formerly of the death metal bands Blood Red Throne and Spawn of Possession.
Hey man. Great video. I enjoy the production insight on the mixing of electronic and analog.
I'd recommend you check out "The Number Twelve looks like you". Tombo's Wound is just so well composed... go for it!
This reminds me a bit of "Firestarter" by The Prodigy. Very strange, very unusual, very cool. And yes, you are absolutely right: There are no borders, try and test it out and see where it's going. This should've been said to me in the Nineties when I did music with drums and keyboard. Well, time flies. :)
Great reaction !! I saw also your previous Igorrr video, you probably already heard of them but I think you are ready for some Mr Bungle stuff, especially from their second and third albums.
Maybe "carry stress in the jaws" or "desert search for techno Allah" or "Platypus" from "Disco Volante" album.
Also "Ars Moriendi"or "Goodbye Sober days" from "California".
Gautier Serre, (Igorrr mastermind) is a huge fan of this band.
The end of this vid had a sample from another song on the album, Parpaing, which features George Fisher of Cannibal Corpse on vocals. I really like the track, the band have tried to go for an old school death metal style but with a heavy electronic passage and some cool effects and cuts from a modular synth setup. The video is really cool too, it's mostly a studio vid which but it has a cartoon in there too that's pretty fun. It's cool because you get to see how some of the electronic effects are set up and used and see the rest of the band doing their thing.
lol saw these guys live, Guatier has a full band for live performance and uses mostly live instruments for recording (and sometimes the amen break)
You're such a kindly person, i love your open minded attitude and so your videos. Btw, Breakcore is the Igorrr native genre and this track is a return to the origin. I want to recommend you some other interesting artists you'll love:
Venetian Snares
Ruby My Dear
The Algorithm
Corpo Mente (Igorrr side project with a band and the beautiful voice of Laure Prunenec)
Cheers from Italy 🍻
This song and Downgrade desert were my first experiences with the band and I was hooked. definitely check out the video for downgrade desert. the heave bit at the end of this video (Very Noisy) is from the video/song "Parpaing" with guest vocalist George Fisher, the thickest neck in the industry lol. I would love to see your take on these songs.
Check out Car Bomb! Song such as Scattered Sprites, Antipatterns, or perhaps Dissect Yourself if you're feeling especially adventurous (although that one is more out there as a warning).
just listening to the "lowrider" remake... really digging the bass and the laid-bakk DnB snare...
Thank you for all these entertaining videos.
Something quite different but still extraordinary to look at would be 'Barbecue' from the EP 'Maigre' by Igorrr & Ruby my Dear. It has more of Rubys style in there and is mindblowing songwriting.
Id love to see your reaction to anything Mr oizo has done
Key of Geebz, usually the really fast breaks and drum style is what I've seen a lot in IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) artists such as Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and even some of Autechre's tracks.
More Igorrr please! Interested to see your thoughts on Chicken Sonata haha. And please look into Mr Bungle too! Their second album Disco Volante has some stuff like this plus a bunch of other interesting mixtures with metal.
Yes! Lol love the weird content today
you are the best
Oh sweet!
For electronic music, I would love to hear someone explore Shpongle or Infected Mushroom.
Tales of the inexpressible 👌 also Boards of Canada for melancholic nostalgic vibes
Cities of the future would be an interesting watch!
ott is great if you like shpongle, or younger brother
>Shpongle
YESSSSSSSSS
you could even call it...
mindblowing
Now do Venetian Snares, you gonna love it
Aphex Twin - T69 Collapse. also, his come to daddy video is just amazing. freaked me out as a kid watching late night mtv vids, back when they had vids.
