@jujimufu I agree with you regarding FORCED things from parents. I hated when my parents forced me to do xyz. it was NOT fun.
i started tricking thanks to you. back in the day when you had tricks tutorials with your cast on your arm. I enjoyed it so much, it became my HS identity in the 2000s. 20+ years later I still have a burned memory of you, skinny and pale. love you so much!

i just realized this today that juji is the one who introduced me to magnus mitdbo (Norwegian rock climber) and magnus is the reason im a v8 climber and work at a climbing gym today, juji i hope you read this comment sometime and just know, you changed the outcome and trajectory of my whole life through one video and it took me till now to actually realize this. thankyou for helping me find my passion in the most indirect way, youre fucking awesome man.

Those early videos with Juji and Magnus helped me too. I got really into calisthenics as it was the closest thing to climbing I could do. I ended up losing like 15 kg of weight and went from 0 pull-ups to 14 strict pull-ups in about a year.

Brian questioning whether he’s been a strongman pioneer or not is great and shows how humble he is. Brian has done so much for the sport of strongman, and I’m personally thankful for it.

@@kylefitzherbert9381 exactly. In the beginning it seemed like Tom helped expand and improve the content, but then he got obsessive and selfish. It was so strange that the videographer wanted to make the channel about himself as much or more than The talent that is Juji. Juji has bounced back bigger and better than ever. The content is next level and always positive instead of strange and creepy as you said.

Meeting Brian at the Shaw Classic was humbling. After a 2 day competition he stood in line for HOURS and shook hands with every single person in line. I was near the back of the line and he was genuinely happy to meet me and thanked me for the support. He talked with each person for a minute or two. So when he says he genuinely likes to connect with people just know he isn't just throwing nice words around

My parents forced me to take piano lessons and I hated it. A few years after I stopped taking lessons I started practicing it on my own and learning the songs that I liked to play. Then it became a real passion for me. I'm glad that my parents introduced me to piano but I don't think I would have ever excelled at it if it was just my parents telling me to do it.

I can honestly relate so much to both of these legends. I grew up playing soccer and hockey my whole life and originally got into the gym to improve my sports performance and gain confidence in myself. I played college soccer for my first 2 years, then the pandemic hit and I started a home gym and thats when my focus shifted into the gym and strength training. So I feel like I grew up like Brian Shaw, but now I'm turning into Juji because now I'm getting really into flexibility training and martial arts combined with my strength and physique goals in the gym. Both these guys are a huge part of my inspiration to start my home gym and starting my home gym was the best thing I've ever done.

Parenting is a difficult thing though. I remember as a kid I didn't know what to do. Looking back I just wanted someone to sit me down and have a chat about my options. I gave up karate when I was 6 but I'd love to have that skill now. I want my kid to have skills and good health and I'm aware that maybe we need a push to help us along but I understand it's a fine line.

Thanks for this both of you. I am slowly getting back into going to the gym after finally finding one that feels right for me as a very partially sighted older dude, well I am 51 🤣
and boy do I feel it most days.
I grew up watching WSM over the Christmas holidays here in Scotland, it's a thing that it has always been shown then, and I never thought I would see it live. That changed in 2021 when Gaints Live came north of Hadrians wall and put on the World Tour Finals at the Hydro in Glasgow. To say it blew my mind would be an understatement, seeing all the big guys move all that heavy stuff and put on a great show. Even though i am very partially sighted I do photography as my main hobby and for the Giants Live I took over 300 photos and edited a lot of them.
Sorry a bit long winded but thanks so much for this video and can't wait for part 2

    Two great ambassadors.
Not taking away the hard work and attitude but youngsters should be aware that they are indeed enhanced athletes who's physicality have been obtained in large part through ped use.
Expectations of young people should be realistic and based on transparency and truth

I swear this is an awesome talk you big fella's. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us. Also nice claymore in the wall haha. Hope to one day be a strength athlete myself. It is much less difficult to train now that I have separated from the DoD green suiter world. I look forward to all yous content and enjoy how you present it. Parents should be leaders and guides in life and only occasionally the boss. Leader leads by example. The guide provides direction with experience. The boss is the discipline and the back bone only when needed. At least in my opinion.

I remember being like 5 years old. My dad asked me if I'd be interested in playing T-ball with 2 of the kids on my street. Yes of course...developed a passion for baseball to almost obsession. Played all the way to a small D-3 school in college. Weird to think about.
