I love how Rob talks about some 6'8 guy at the highschool combine like hes the biggest dude ever, meanwhile he is "Only" 6'7 375, and the living embodiment of Hagrid.

@c a m You got it! I too have been trying for several years to assist people to see that most of these folks lie about their height. For the most part people refuse to listen and just stick with the lie. You are correct on these heights you listed for each individual.

I am 6ft 3. 300 lbs. built like a string man. When I get next to someone who is 6ft2 and 270 and jacked it’s like woah. Part of it, we don’t know how big we are. Went to a strong man met someone my same size and I was like woah your a giant people were like your both the same
Size. It’s weird but we don’t understood big we are

@@DanClizer bro i'm 5'4" at the ripe old age of 23, I don't lie about my height cause it doesn't matter either way you can visually see that i'm short. I think there's a certain group of people that lie about their height because they're taller than the average person just enough that it's hard to call them on it.

I also grew up moving around alot also a big kid (330lbs 6ft at 16) but i never really got into sports like football i instead spent most of my time outside of school doing auto repair doing things anywhere from pushing cars, trucks around, and lifting engines/ transmissions around. i sometimes also would help my aunt on her farm dragging hogs around moving feed bags putting in fences. i never really had friends if anything i got bullied alot and i could obviously really stopped them given size and power but ive always been humble super kindhearted, but i was always quiet and never fit in anywhere. i can say this seeing robert and brian be who they are you 2 have been huge role models for me but i never got the opportunity to do anything close to strongman stuff and wish i could have. love what you 2 do and keep it up

It's such a challenge as a competitor to in the moment, be happy with "losing" but realize, holy crap I just did x. You almost view it as a weakness to get happy over that type of stuff, like you'll get complacent and not train as hard or not push as far as you should/could. It's okay to live that moment, and change your mindset to a loss being a learning moment. Awesome interview and career.

Great podcast. I loved History's Strongest Man. Can't wait to see Robert in Righteous Gemstones. Something stuck out to me when you were talking about the show, and how you were hoping for more seasons, because I was too. You've probably thought about this, but have you tried pitching another show? The historical feats of strength was a good model, but I think the selling point was the personalities and how you guys got on together. Just seeing the bits of travel, and the four of you in restaurants and hotels was like a show within the show. I know things will continue to go well for you guys. Stay strong.

Bill Kazmaier is still in the conversation as the strongest. Also, It would be awesome to see you 2 along with Hall and Best go to one of the most haunted places and do a paranormal investigation. Yeah it's not strength stuff but it would be hilarious I think.
