- Caught on the east side of Oahu.
Bait has been really easy to find lately which is always nice. Found a nice school of bait in 100ft , picked up four of them and started trolling. Caught two yellow tails and one Kawakawa. Gopro died right after the first ahi so i didnt get to film the rest. Ahi was around 25-30 pounds?

I started kayak fishing, sold that. Bought a 10ft inflatable a 4hp engine. Love it, works great, just went out yesterday , uku ulua, lost something very big, maybe a shark, 6 ono strikes cut my 80lb leader, forgot the wire rigs. Been out windward side very rough, all white caps , handled fine. Better than kayak fishing . cheaper too. any questions lmk
Sitting on the side, in gear, pulling hard with no lanyard attached. Please be safe, the ocean has claimed many for less.
I'm amazed you didn't sink that tiny little boat with such a gigantic set of steel balls.
Really guy can you be a bit more tactful.
Fantastic video I enjoyed it very much I have two inflatable’s myself but so far I only go on lakes
You are pretty brave going so far from the coast in such a little boat. Be safe out there!
Probably safer than a 20ft fibreglass boat in chop.
What an awesome catch!!!!
Very Kool catch and trip on boat...
I been tempted to take my 16.5' Alumacraft to the islands, already taken to the Upper 9..
Your video just motivated me more, thanks....
Tight Lines !!!
Holy shit bet that was a delicious dinner! Nice job.
Haha, super nice shibi. Can’t believe it didn’t come off when you held the spool ot hand lined it! You got lucky, just be a litter more careful next time. Get they’re head out of the water and it can’t dive. Sick vid!
Super sick bradda man..
Great video!
best video what I have ever heard...
Well done, mate!
Good Job Man!
This is awesome
Love the videos keep up the great work. Was wondering where or how did you get that live well for your bait?
I built it from a tutorial video on youtube. The channels name was flying fish tv, really helpful and simple video on how to build it.
How far do you go from shore?
very nice catch bro👍👍👍 already order my IB 🤪will get it in 3 weeks time🥰👍👍👍
You get your boat? How big? Where you at and how does it handle. Thank you
Hey dude what is the minimum size rib boat and regular boat that you could fish most days in Hawaii. east Hawaii. Thank you.
Great solo mission bra
Well this is why I love my dingy boat tho this guy living it yes the ocean is dangerous so is life we live are way I bought a 16 ft Saturn heavy duty boat woth aluminum floor love it wide amd can stand on to nice little boat as long as you have a good motor your good my extra 10 ft maxxon dingy handle s the dells great who need to pay a charter boat when you can do it yourself great video brih keep it up
thanks ...i guess wheels are needed to get a rib down beach without 4x4
Nice little shibi
Why do you leave the motor running?
Nice
Thanks for posting, I'm glad I saw this. Sold my kayak to get something similar this season. It seams to be handling the swells decent.
they are solid with waves and small chop. just a bummer that you can't carry a gaff.
You can carry a gaff you just have to be careful!
I use a 10ft in Alaska. Been in some pretty rough stuff and feel super safe. Just remember to wear life vest and radio. Good stuff! I have my kayak and inflatable. They serve different purposes lol.
Richards inflatable boat I'm almost about to pull the trigger on my boat. Nice seeing you on here! I was gonna say Richard carries one!
@@jtx8654 hey dude do you you think a sixteen foot rib boat with a 40 horsepower motor and center console could handle most days inn East Hawaii where the water is usually a little bit rougher? I have the option of buying a 16ft rib or a regular 20-footer from Florida. Thanks.
What product do you use to keep the metal joints on your wheels from rusting?
the wheels are from brocraft. they are rust proof. probably made out of aluminum
hey man, i fish kaneohe side in my 10.5 rib. lmk if you wanna meet up for a fish off. always good to have company out on the water to find bait or incase the worst
What size engine is that? Looking at a 12 foot inflatable and need an engine with enough power for rivers/back bays
Sick! This is so me. lol
Also how many days a week do you think you could fish your boat on average? Pertaining to weather and swells. Also where are you at? I have the option to get a 16ft rib boat with a 40 horsepower motor and center console or a 20-footer from Florida regular boat for same price.
Forgot I already asked you. Your best guess is still appreciated. Thank you. Tight lines.
I live on the windy side of oahu so i can only go a couple of times a month. if you live in areas where the weather is calm you can go alot.
Hi
Wondered if wheels get in way of anything
Do you not need auxillary motor
Sorry just bought rib
they used to. I take them off now and store them in my boat.
Cool video , is the tube in the water a bait holder??
yea it holds my live bait
Hows those glue patch holding up? Ill be planning on getting some soon for a fish finder
good for lighter chartplotters, i tried to put a 7 inch garmin touch screen and it almost ripped off lol.
Ima stick with a 4inch screen 🤣 was thinking of the 7 inch
Nice catch Bud👍 what’s the island in the foreground? Did you use a sounder?
east side of oahu, and yes I use a garmin sounder
Good job using the inflatable in the sea👍 got to give it a try too.
Is that Diamond Head we're seeing on the Island? Cool video!
What size motor you running? Any issues against current and for going into wind? Thinking of using one of these near waianae waters
saw your comment, bought the costco inflatabe for fishing a couple months ago. sold my kayak. should have never bought the kayak for fishing. was inspired by this guys vids to buy an inflatable. no regrets. running a 4hp, using rechargeable pump , a must have , everything fits in my suv. In 4 trips, aku, rainbow runner, ono, and a couple days ago about 30 lb uku, and lost a mahi.opelu and weke ula, taape, moana stuff I wasnt even trying for. Only one day was nice, windward side, a couple days ago, nuts out there. a 20 ft boat would have been bobbing. The onflatable handles, was wet all day, got washed over several times. wind was constant 20 plus. Have taken it offshore over 6 miles out. But you really dont have to. Find the opelu and fish in the general area the bait is. Im running external tank, 3 gallon, I use maybe a gallon and half all day. trying to fill internal tank with can at sea , lame. any questions lmk
@@jremodel9294 what size inflatable did you buy bro, also wanting to sell my kayak and get a 10ft inflatable with 6hp Suzuki, looks like a lot of fun
@@eastcoastanglingadventures282 You on East Coast? I got the one costco sells, Tobin Sports. like 10ft. have a 4hp, 4 stroke external 3 gallon. only use a gallon and a half at most. Doesnt go real fast, enough though for the type of fishing, Try and catch bait opelu/maceral float or very slow troll with the live bait. I like it, a must is a electric pump, got mine amazon like 120, had good reviews , rechargeable. For years I would see guys with one costco sells, and Id ask, any good? always got positive responses. rubber is thick, just have to be conscious of hooks. I use a yoga mat over the blow up floor, extra protection. and in the center both sides made something out of thick rubber to cover the tubes. area where I bring fish and hooks in, added layer of protection.
@@jremodel9294 nice bud,no ,I'm actually in Australia haha,I had a 14 foot RIB with 2 x 30s on the back, and that little boat could handle big seas with ease, now just wanting something smaller without the hassle of towing etc, can you fish with a second person on yours,or only go by yourself?
@@eastcoastanglingadventures282 I go by myself, but with gear, could fit 2, Its rated for 1400 lbs, Ive seen 5 people on them before. Last time I wet out was very rough, big seasm strong winds, wet the whole day, got washed over a few times, waves knocked my glasses off my face into the water. had a US coast card plane fly over me, check if I was ok. Actually when I go out, military planes and helicopters and even civilian ones will divert and fly over me.. They thinking what is this nut case doing way out here and this rough. Ive had 2@19 ft and last one 22ft twin 90 hondas, Then a sailing kayak, now a new toy, smaller, but fun , easy to store, gas is cheap. etc. Rolls up and fits in my SUV. Catching, big cuda, ono/wahoo mahi tunas etc
What size is your motor?
I see that you cannot turn your motor wide because of those wheels getting in the way. That may not be that big of a problem on the ocean but could definitely be a problem on rivers.
you can take the wheels off which is what i do now.
What size boat is this
Awesome catch! May I ask how long have you had this inflatable and is it holding up in the tropical heat? Would like to get one but some people bash pvc inflatables.
Use the 303 UV Protectant Spray before you head out.. it works wonders on the pvc. Make sure the PVC boat has Heat Welded seams.
10/10 A +
wea u got that rod holder? is it a railblaza with the ribport?
yes it is
@@inflatablefishing6912 did you use loctite or some other adhesive instead of the 3M pad?
@@whysidecole the ones I bought from amazon came with a 3mm glue on pad
a que velocidad vas para pescar
How much cost the boat ? Where did you buy ? Thanks
boat cost around 955$ and i bought it on amazon
Is a rib good Hilo side? Thanks sick video. Huevos grande
Don't think i can answer this question I've only ever been to Kauai and Oahu sorry!
Nice catch look to be a workout I'm about to buy an inflatable what one is this an horsepower on your Honda outboard
4Hp
Robert Dean did you get your boat?
why you don’t published a new video?
what is the brand and size of your boat?
The Boat is a Newport Vessel called the "Dana". Its 8ft 10 inches.
Great video! Next time play Reggae not public radio....
May be a silly question but... can you break this down far enough to fit in the trunk of a small car? Great videos man!
totally, you can also get an automatic air pump to speed up the process of inflating your boat.
@@inflatablefishing6912 Amazing! Doing this ASAP. Incredible man! Tight lines and thanks so much for the reply. This helps a ton!
James Hyatt did u get your boat
@@jacobgreen6939 Not yet man. Work went on a downturn but I still plan to get one before summer starts for sure
Word where u out of
That looks like a Newport Dana, I just bought one and can't get it to plane with an 8hp Tohatsu. Will yours plane? Thx.
only way i get it to plane is by sitting near the front of the boat
@@inflatablefishing6912 thanks, I tried that too. think i will try another prop, great boat otherwise...big fat tubes, very buoyant. what HP is the Honda?
@@andrewlucas1595 4hp
@@inflatablefishing6912
You know that you can increase the HP with a 6HP carb and coil assy.
Why didn't you kill the motor while you where pulling on that catch? Make it easier on yourself?
good advice this was a while back and i was still learning.
nice shibi but no ahi
Great video, if you get a chance check out my SIB fishing videos! I've subbed!
Pretty fucked up to put a hook though its eye ... I fish myself but I have respect
