I was surprised to get this notification, but it's dope to see you review this awesome figure. I have this one on my living room and people are always blown away when they see it. It's really something else
I was very excited to see you reviewing this guy! It's my favorite action figure, if you can call it that. Juggernaut has always been my favorite comic book character, and coincidentally, the Select Juggernaut was the first action figure I ever bought myself and is the figure that got me into collecting action figures.
What a pleasant surprise! Amazing review! This Juggernaut is truly amazing and one of my first Marvel Select action figures which I was really happy to finally back then.. especially that I was in college and living in the Indian Ocean did not make that much easy to get it at a decent price hahaha, had to be really patient checking up ebay listings every single day and got him for a sweet deal! Super happy to see this big guy reviewed by you! Can't wait for more!
The articulation was really Marvel Select's problem. I heard that they are contractually confined to a few articulation. However this is my favorite Juggernaut action figure to date. It's almost like getting an articulated Bowen statue for much less.
I buy comic book characters because I read comic books. Those characters are always drawn differently, but they almost always have "heroic" proportions. I'll take stylized every day (FYI, I don't consider McFarlane's bananas body proportions "heroic").
That’s what I’ve always though. Comic-book characters are really just cartoon characters without slapstick like Tom and Jerry. You should kinda expect some portion of unrealism from characters who physically couldn’t exist in real life.
I discovered this guy's existence one day, years ago...in the next few days saw him in the window of my local comic shop! Don't think I'll ever be letting him go. Great fig. I prefer the classic paint job on mine and prefer the stylized figures!
It's a good looking Juggie. For a big guy, limited articulation is expected. It would be good if it they open grasping hands -like fighing Spiderman or Wolerine or Colossus
This thing still holds up after all these years, even though it’s articulation was outdated when it came out. And yes, I want my action figures to look as much like the media they came from as possible.
He's supposed to have exaggerated features anyway because he's enhanced by the unholy gem of Cytorrak. Limited articulation aside from the older DST waves, my only gripe is having no alternate hands to hold bazookas or X-Men. Marvel DST is always my go-to for villains because they resemble the huge video game bosses far better, and it's more worth for your money than the BAF figures.
Got this one on sale from bbts as well👍 Its only $30 retail which is still a great price IMO. Gonna touch up a few areas with some paint and remove the gloss on the "leather" parts. The ankles do have much more articulation, the hinge is kinda hidden but its visible at certain angles. Edit: The legs do have a bit more articulation than I thought as well. I got him to stand throwing a front kick as high as his head, just had to reposition the hip joint separate from the thigh but it's pretty tight on my figure.
Picked up my Juggernaut at a used bookstore that also specializes in lightly used collectibles. At $21.00 it was a steal. Awesome review. Love this figure.
I really like that Marvel Select does these reissues, I don't collect the line, but it's nice to see. As for the QOTD, I tend to prefer a happy medium. A bit of exaggeration, but still looking like they could feasibly exist (Which doesn't make sense, since they're super-people, but still).
I love this figure I have 2 in my collection both are the original release and don’t get me wrong I am glad collectors that missed him have another chance to get him…. But I sorta feel like they could have updated this figure with much better articulation or released a much better version for the amount of plastic that went into this reissue…. this one is special but an upgraded Select Juggernaut or even a Select Blob would have been epic.
My favorite x-men figures are Select's Psylocke, and their version of Beast. Their Beast feels like a homage to old monster flicks and not exactly comic accurate, but the sculpt and paint is incredible, and the character fits in with the earliest Beast stories.
That was one of my most wanted figures, just by the look alone, he works fine with marvel legends in my opinion, he fills the part of unstoppable foe quite well, excellent review and have a nice day.
A golden oldie. Still like it despite the limited articulation. The Red Hulk is also a very well done select model, it's just a shame the Green Hulks always seem to be off by comparison in one way or another. Thanks for sharing!
Marvel Selects modern Marvel figures are amazing especially for the price. Their older figures suffer from not being as posable but make up for it for the size/paint/and cost.
Thanks for the review on this product Anthony. When seeking an alternative to Hasbro for my Marvel action figures, I was initially drawn to the attractive detail captured in Marvel Select figures. They are much better at producing finer details then their $30 action figure competitors. In fact, better then their competitors $60 Deluxe figures. I truly hope that Marvel Select will produce an Annihlus because I feel they would do a better job with it. If looking for others may I suggest Select's Titanium Man and/or Human Torch.
More stylized proportions to get that comic book feel. This guy looks like he’s right out of a 90’s Jim Lee or Todd McFarlane drawing. Juggernaut should look like a living brick wall, and he does!
Even if it isn't accurate, I really like it when companies take straight forward comic book costumes and add extra details and textures. I know McFarlane still has plenty of issues with their DC line, but there are times when they really nail it with their releases, and Diamond Select has had that same thing going for years. To me they're the ones who more often make figures that feel like adult collectibles than some of Hasbro's Marvel offerings, even if they aren't always as functional.
For the question of the day, I'm guessing most people who like the Hasbro option won't claim it here much based on the way you sold their poor choice in the question hahaha this release is beautiful. One of the first figures I got not long ago and I love him!
I'm with ya Anthony. I'll go with the stylized exaggerated comic book accurate body proportions from Select and Toybiz over the normal looking human cosplay that we see the most nowadays from Hasbro.
OG release's paint work and color scheme is so much better. Still a solid figure. Literally. It could fall off the shelf and murder a small child. He strikes fear into parents and those who need to pack up their toys to move.
I got this figurine back in 2010, when I took my family to an Disney Vacation. So if you say it's 2020 release , they must be using the same "moulds" still. Because I got a lot of marvel figurines for my youngest son , and his juggernaut was smaller than this roughly 6.5 to 7 inches in height but it looks exactly the same.
This was a fun review to watch. It was cool checking out older figures and see how they stack up now. Me personally, this is my go to favorite Juggernaut. Awesome vid!✌️
I’d much rather get the more stylized figures from Select compared the most of Hasbro’s figures. That’s why I replaced both of my Legends Hulk and Red Hulk with the Select versions
I happened upon a Batman Ninja figure by Star Ace that looked kind of interesting. It's 300 dollars though so not sure it's worth the money. The design has potential for sure. This Juggernaut mold takes me back to my childhood. Looks pretty good even to this day.
Yes. I uses to have mine in a running pose years ago. Now I just keep in in a menacing walking pose. Those feet definitely help in keeping him grounded.
I absolutely love this figure so i was afraid you were gonna rip it to shreds. But yeah, youre completely right about everything you say about it and a 7 was a pretty good score! And i rather take stylization if it fits the character.
I prefer comicbook proportion for comicbook super heroes. i have this figure and i am quite happy with it and how imposing it is. and the price point... no complaints.
i don’t know why anyone needs a number rating. your videos help me decide which figures to buy and which to avoid, but i’ve made my decision well before you give the figure a number rating
I like this one a lot but I am very satisfied with my legends jugs. If I didn't have it I'd be fine with this one but I actually really like having the articulation and think proportionally he works just fine. I have never gotten a select fig before and am thinking about getting the sabertooth because I lost the fur piece to my legends version and it just bugs the hell outta me lol
Oh dude, for comic book characters, "overly stylized," exaggerated features are definitely the way to go ^^ But for like, movie characters - Predator, Alien & various horror flicks, etc. - realism obviously trumps style. And while I definitely tend to collect more movie or video game-related figures than I do comic stuff, I think this figure rules, especially considering its age. Juggernaut was always one of my favorite villains growing up, and this figure feels more true to the character than most of the others that I've seen. Great video, man 🤘
Bad articulation frustrates me. It doesn't matter how cool a figure looks. If I can't get an action figure into a pose, I might as well get a statue. That's why I despise ball joints. They are so annoying. Toys are supposed to be fun, not stress inducing.
As long as I was able to get this figure in a running pose, I was okay with limited articulation, especially for $20. More articulation is always appreciated though.
I’m glad you like the figure for what it is. I do love this sculpt for juggernaut. For me, the articulation’s a little too limited; and the different colour for the helmet / armbands compared to the art, kills it for me. (I’m guessing this is a different paint scheme as a reissue)
Thanks for looking for a newer Sabretooth. It's a great figure outside of the paintjob, hoping you can get one of the better ones to review, I'm curious about it.
A 7-10 is a 9-10 in Hasbro Scale since Selects are not made with Super Cheap plastics that age, which break in time, making Selects so much better. The paint, alone, is worth the price. I've compared the Juggernaut Baf with this one. This one beats it by a Mile. Maybe during your Livestreams, make a mission statement to Marvel Select to get a sponsorship deal. I prefer Style than QC issues. The Last Legends figures I've bought I bought cheap from Ross. I've stopped preordering and refuse to pay retail for a figure that I know for a fact I will be dissatisfied with. You did an amazing job comparing & rating this expressing how you feel about Hasbro figures. HasBros need to stop kissing Hasbro ass, really. They polish a turd whenever something new comes out
UA-cam has been suggesting 5 year old reviews lately so i had to do a double take. I'd rather a stylized look for comic figures than frumpy misshapen human analogs.
I would prefer figures that are something in between real and stylized for my comics Marvel Legends. Too real and it looks like people in cosplay I agree but too stylized and it looks like a anime character which works for anime figures but not for Marvel characters. Plus there are reviewers that would complain the proportions are wrong so...
in its time that toy was amazing even though the articulation was still not good but the details of that toy still amazing that because I used to have that toy 😅
between that Juggy select compare with the Juggy BAF released I would personally get the BAF one.. much better looking, and I loved the articulation of it. I did remove the belt, though.
Cam confirm that the original release paint actually looks better, feels like more care was put into it imo. And also while I agree the articulation is very dated ,he can very easily be posed and balanced into a picture perfect 1 footed running charge pose lol.
I have the original release and love it for the size, proportions, sculpt, and heft. But along with the articulation leaving much to be desired I actually think he's too small. He's shorter than the Select Hulk even though he's actually supposed to be taller, and they didn't give him his belt either. Loose Collector fixed those problems with one of his gorgeous customs! And yeah, the new paint job on this rerelease means that along with the helmet looking wrong, Juggernaut no longer posseses the CRIMSON bands of Cytorak!
How is a 7/10 Marvel Select different from a 7/10 Marvel Legends. I'm kind of confused. Thanks for another honest review, and keep on making them because they're mostly eye candy and all are your videos are beneficial.
I prefer stylized action figures, bonus points if they're have amazing articulation because I don't like keep my figures in boring default standing pose.
Exaggeration any day for me too. This guy was pretty well articulated for an MS of his time, most of them were glorified statues back then that maybe had arm, waist, and neck articulation. Lots of my older ones are completely solid from the neck down aside from the arms.
Damn good figure but the greatness of it makes it odd to be displayed with the average ml. I use him with other ml select or the fox marvel figs like deadpool and wolverine
definitely prefers comic book exaggeration and I'll also take a "simplified" classic looks for classic Superheroes, BUT DEFINITELY NOT an overly realistic cosplay style like hasbro does these days.
The hasbro one looks kinda flat and boring compated to this. When i look at the torso for instance, that part alone looks more exciting due to sculpted detail sn more paint, also the diaphragm joint will, for me at least, always beat the ab crunch.
It's amazing how just stating that the two are almost the same height made people think it was a bash. My point was that it could easily fit into a legends display. I have both and the KO "Legends" Juggernaut that is based on the Hulk body. The actual legends juggernaut is the worst of the 3.
Ok one best of Marvel select but more hands and heads !we wait marvel select sasquatch, wendigo, gladiator, bishop, abomination, blob, strong boy,Odin,Zeus,
Real talk, I have the Mezco 89 Batman. Id love to send you it for a review, but the cape is a b**** to get on and off, and I dont want to fight it again.
This Juggernaut matches the one from Capcom's Marvel fighting games the most, so that makes it the best by default.
I was just going to say. This one reminds me of Marvel Super Heroes Juggs. Love it.
I was surprised to get this notification, but it's dope to see you review this awesome figure. I have this one on my living room and people are always blown away when they see it. It's really something else

I just bought the Juggernaut. It's hands down the best one ever made. Great review!
What a pleasant surprise! Amazing review! This reissue looks different. The helmet and arm bands look gunmetal while the one I got back in 2012 has more of a shiny dark brown sheen to it.
Yeah, mine is the old dark brown one too, think it looks better to be honest.
Picked up my Juggernaut at a used bookstore that also specializes in lightly used collectibles. At $21.00 it was a steal. Awesome review. Love this figure.
I have the first edition. This one has slightly different paint. Both figures are great though. One of my favourites ever. Nice review as always.
When you consider the age and price of this figure, it’s an absolute top tier figure to this day I love it!
I really like that Marvel Select does these reissues, I don't collect the line, but it's nice to see.

Do have to say the older paintjob seems a bit better as this 2021 one.
Marvel Selects modern Marvel figures are amazing especially for the price. Their older figures suffer from not being as posable but make up for it for the size/paint/and cost.
I was looking at this guy recently, so this is a nice surprise. Thanks for the review!
Surprised you never had this one in the collection. Definitive Juggernaut for any shelf display!
Thanks for the review on this product Anthony. When seeking an alternative to Hasbro for my Marvel action figures, I was initially drawn to the attractive detail captured in Marvel Select figures. 100% agree. Ik select isn’t your thing but would definitely love to see more reviews of them 👌🏾
Would love to see your opinion of their silver centurion iron man
Even if it isn't accurate, I really like it when companies take straight forward comic book costumes and add extra details and textures. I know McFarlane still has plenty of issues with their DC line, but there are times when they really nail it with their releases, and Diamond Select has had that same thing going for years. A posable statue. I will say he stands on his own well without support. Pose him with your favorite hero and he will stay in place. Love this figure
I would want more exaggeration in my figures on that one I wished that they had painted the Dome Brown to match how it is in the comics😅
This has always been an aesthetic kind of figure. They should have made an updated version with better articulation.
I'm with ya Anthony. I'll go with the stylized exaggerated comic book accurate body proportions from Select and Toybiz over the normal looking human cosplay that we see the most nowadays from Hasbro.
They are Super Heroes/Villains so exaggerated is a must.
OG release's paint work and color scheme is so much better. Still a solid figure. Literally. It could fall off the shelf and murder a small child. He strikes fear into parents and those who need to pack up their toys to move.

Glad you enjoyed!
The release should included a removable helmet instead of a already helmeted head and removable open hand.
I’d much rather get the more stylized figures from Select compared the most of Hasbro’s figures. That’s why I replaced both of my Legends Hulk and Red Hulk with the Select versions
I got the first realese and is more brown the dome and the gauntlet , but for 20 this is a good deal
I got this back in 2012 I was super happy. I still have him but yah old diamond select lacked articulation but looked amazing, like movable statues.
This is one of my favorite pieces in my collection, but damn that paintjob looks so different in this release.
I happened upon a Batman Ninja figure by Star Ace that looked kind of interesting. It's 300 dollars though so not sure it's worth the money. The design has potential for sure.
This Juggernaut mold takes me back to my childhood. Looks pretty good even to this day.
How about marvel select abomination next?
This is the figure that got me into collecting.
You need to get the no helmet version as well. He doesn't look as good but still brilliant as, well, it's Juggernaut.
Woah! This was a surprise 😃
The clown shoes help to balance him in a running pose, so I'm ok with it on this guy.
I would love more realistic figures, kind of what gi joe is doing but I think artist specific figures would be really cool too
I love this figure. I got it back when it was originally released. The one you have definitely has a differently colored helmet and arm bands.
Was going to sell the one I've had since 2014(?). Your review has made me reconsider just from how he looks. Great review 👏
He weighs a ton too! I love the scale of him and Colossus against Marvel Legends. They are the only 2 selects I have but I do love them.

As long as I was able to get this figure in a running pose, I was okay with limited articulation, especially for $20. More articulation is always appreciated though.
Yay, marvel select rocks!!!
Pls, review the spinning Mjolnir Thor!!!
I’m glad you like the figure for what it is. I do love this sculpt for juggernaut. For me, the articulation’s a little too limited; and the different colour for the helmet / armbands compared to the art, kills it for me. (I’m guessing this is a different paint scheme as a reissue)
The best Juggernaut of all time 👏 he good review.
I think you were thinking of the marvel legends colossus 2 pack that you reviews 2 years ago. it came with pretty good juggernaut
No. The original release of this is much, much older than that.
@@AnthonysCustoms ahhh okay still an awesome review man
Thanks for looking for a newer Sabretooth.
One of the first selects i ever purchased. I prefer overly stylized.
in its time that toy was amazing even though the articulation was still not good but the details of that toy still amazing that because I used to have that toy 😅
I had this in around 2012. It was my very first action figure. It weighed about 5 pounds.
between that Juggy select compare with the Juggy BAF released I would personally get the BAF one.. much better looking, and I loved the articulation of it. I did remove the belt, though.
Cam confirm that the original release paint actually looks better, feels like more care was put into it imo. And also while I agree the articulation is very dated ,he can very easily be posed and balanced into a picture perfect 1 footed running charge pose lol.
Are you getting the marvel select apocalypse?
No. Head is butts.
Juggy is my favorite character, and this one looks incredible! I'm gonna buy it to go with my KO Revoltechs. 😎
I just got this one about a month ago and I think it’s better than the ML juggernaut.
$20 for a Select this hefty is the best bargain ever
was looking for the end credit photo where juggernaut sits on darwin hehehe
So many fun bootlegs of this one. Im gonna pick up the deadpool movie prison outfit version
WE GOTTA HAVE MORE FIGURES LIKE THIS
The only select I have is him and Colossus I think they fit with legends . CHEERS 🍻
bbts has had some pretty sweet sales this year. i just got the dark knight returns batman and superman double pack for only like 20$
Yep
If you can find the Disney exclusive Carnage and review it, that would be amazing!
It's different than the normal release? I have the normal one.
@AnthonysCustoms the Disney exclusive one has 3 different headsculpts from the regular release and one extra accessory, I believe.
Damn good figure but the greatness of it makes it odd to be displayed with the average ml. I use him with other ml select or the fox marvel figs like deadpool and wolverine
marvel select over hasbro marvel legends
I really wish that i could buy this one.20 dollar price will double if this will be sold here in the philippines, maybe even more.i guess more than $40
I’d definitely prefer the comic stylized versions of characters.
My favorite Juggernaut!!!
I think the proportions are perfect, as Juggs is usually around 9’5 1900lbs with the gem. rn he’s underpowered yet still stands at 6’10 like 600lbs😭
definitely prefers comic book exaggeration and I'll also take a "simplified" classic looks for classic Superheroes, BUT DEFINITELY NOT an overly realistic cosplay style like hasbro does these days.
This is my favorite figure in collection. Juggernaut is my fave Marvel character. Design, power. 😎
The funny thing is, the Marvel Select Juggernaut is almost the same height as the Hasbro Legends one.
The hasbro one looks kinda flat and boring compated to this. When i look at the torso for instance, that part alone looks more exciting due to sculpted detail sn more paint, also the diaphragm joint will, for me at least, always beat the ab crunch.
Define, "almost"...also it's not just the height, the select one is way bulkier.
