  • Tyler Sea is a proud black man who created and hosts the Community Experiment Podcast -- he is also one of the few black men who call North Idaho their home. In an electrifying talk, he shares the lessons he learned from his upbringing in the diverse city of Louisville, Ky -- and how those lessons apply to his current community in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, one of America's fastest-growing “Whiteopias”. Tyler Sea is the man behind The Community Experiment, a podcast that encourages people to tell their individual stories. He believes everyone has a story to tell and he uses his podcast to provide a platform for everyday people in Coeur d'Alene and our surrounding area to share their experiences.
    Tyler's story began in Louisville, Ky., Sea where he grew up. His wife is from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. After visiting Coeur d'Alene, Tyler and his wife decided to stay and have lived here for more than three years. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    The irony is: THIS single direct experience does not speak for all instances. The same way that telling “boogie man/fear mongering stories doesn’t account for all instances.
    There are positive and negative misconceptions.

    Great message. Especially as our nation is in the midst of incredible term oil and division. It comes down to me loving those around me regardless of their looks, beliefs or politics. Love is the answer. And the best example and source of that love is most beautifully displayed on the Cross. Live and love like Jesus.

      Californians are fleeing that burning hellscape they call a state (like rats) and are infesting other states like the cancer cells they are. This drives up housing costs due to scarcity. Supply, demand, the fundamentals of Capitalism.
      Idaho could be cheap if they got smart and made it as hostile as humanly possible for Californians.

    • @rexx9496
      @rexx9496 2 роки тому +1

      @@troubleinbound most the Californians leaving are conservatives. There are more Republicans in California than in all the upper mountain states combined. They are simply outnumbered by Democrats. Luckily for them they made a small fortune in home appreciation and can pay cash pretty much anywhere they want. Sucks for natives of small states like Idaho, but hey, that's called capitalism.
