From the Amazonian rainforest! For him to leave his tribe, come here, learn English, begin public speaking... I think most people wildly underestimate the difficulty of taking on all these tasks, especially in just a few short years... Wow. He has such a strong and calm presence. I'm so proud of him and the impact he's making. Big heart.

I spent two years homeless. In that two years, I spent a quiet a bit of time with nature.First lesson I learned was balance. The rocks taught me to focus and take my time. The trees and vines taught me to walk on the earth with respect. The darkness taught me to use my ears, as sight. We are to the flower as the tree is to us. Imagine a world the trees could walk. Would we not want them to walk on the earth with caution awareness and respect? The flower wishes the same of us. Love all living life!

I experienced being homeless for 4 years & had a powerful experience as well. Although I do not wish to experience that ever again I am a better person because I went thru that.
Rid attachment to material possessions, learned empathy and to love fellow humans and all creatures unconditionally, learned humility in it's purest sense, learned to advocate for myself & members of all marginalized populations, understood for the first time quantum physics; law of attraction, about energy & that our thoughts & beliefs ABSOLUTELY CREATE OUR REALITY. I learned my own strength.
Any one else experience houselessness & wish to share what it was like?.

I’m amazed at HOW FAR outside his confort zone he has came for all of us. The fear to speak in public is massive for people who speak in the language they were brought up and educated. Stage fright. Fear of not belonging. So many real life dangers , facing people’s resistance and apathy, being away from home for years. Not giving up on humanity. Showing up authentically... for the world to witness. We owe him so much for the message in his presence.

The Bolsonaro government is rolling back all protective laws, tribal lands are opened up to mining, ranching, logging etc. We need to support tribal peoples and stand with them against the onslaught that is taking place. Join Survival International, sign petitions, donate, whatever it takes to safeguard their future. They are the ones who have the knowledge and moreover, the attitude that may save us all.

The poles are shifting and to escape the expansion of incorporated society, one may have to travel to the wilds of what was formerly due north with regard to the lands of upper north america. The former due north is, as yet, "uncivilized", in which there are simply "pockets" of organized, technical society.

If it is true, then that is wonderful, a lost cousin. But the proof could not come through DNA and the story would be sketchy at best. Get back to me - I am from three tribes myself. I, for one, am of the opinion, that a person's deep connection to the land, to nature and the elements are instilled & achieved by the methods in which you are raised; what you are exposed to and what you are taught as well as the environment and stimuli that you arent. The True People who adopted & raised the child whose biological parents hailed from Great Britain or Africa were raised exactly as if they were indeed their biological child as their customs, ways, survival skills, religious beliefs & language were the only ways they knew! It is impossible to teach that which you have no knowledge of. One's DNA, country of origin and the superficial coloring of our physical features are completely insignificant for we are All simply Ghosts driving an incredibly fragile flesh covered skeleton for a undetermined period of time with no warranty and no guarantee except that your license seems to expire way too fast..

I would disagree. There’s a perception that masculinity has to mean aggression, anger, lack of harmony, volatility, intolerance, strong-mindedness and stubbornness- that’s simply the western contortion of masculinity. Masculinity can be gentle and kind and strong and loving and wonderfully tender all at once, just as femininity can be.
Anything else simply holds people back from being the beautiful people they can be.

Similar social conventions and stress that exist in your society also exist in tribal societies. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing both a western modern way of life and a tribal traditional way of life. I don’t think I fit in either one of them. The western modern way is too stressful, too materialistic, too disingenuous and detached from the natural way of life. However my tribal culture is too misogynistic where I as a woman felt and was treated like a second class citizen, I didn’t have equal opportunity to education as my male relatives and the gender roles are quite restrictive. However, I love my traditions, my culture’s connection to nature and spirituality and so many other things. I guess I just have to be greatful for being able to be exposed to such different lifestyles and it’s up to me to find my place in the universe just as I pray that you will find that world & life you fantasise about! 🙂

GS GS To go back to the earth and to our nature I recommend to love yourself, choose healthy habits, eat lots of veggies, love and respect not only people but animals as well. Don't let the media brainwash you, you don't need all the junk they make you believe you need, lots of makeup, clothing, tech devices and so on. Keep it simple, technology can help us sometimes, but don't depend on it. If you do that you will suddenly realize you have more time, spend it doing something that makes you feel useful and happy. Build a relationship with God, by praying, meditating, doing community work, whatever makes you feel your life has a purpose, because we all have a purpose in life. Hope you find it.

We need more people to open their eyes and recognize the fact that we are living in a subjective reality. Western civilization is based upon the ideology that a "civilized" lifestyle is the best way to live, and that it is the key to 'fulfillment'.
However, I think a majority of humanity can agree that these fast-paced lifestyles are not derived from the true intent of the heart. Its not our faults that we've been born into these lifestyles, but you are at fault if you choose to live in ignorance.
At some point in time we have lost our touch with the real world, and with our true selves.
Please, search inside of yourself and realize that you are a savage at heart. You are an animal and its okay to embrace it.
Call me a "hippie" or whatever you'd like. I'm just a human being who has opened her eyes.
"Human Salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted" - MLK Jr.

Yes, true and sadness is a good step in the direction of VERY good news, Vachik, We are Nature, and we can listen within anytime and hear the forest calling....and inviting us to restore the beauty we are, right here, right now. Hug, Claire

Only a simple, openhearted soul with a strong connection to nature can be like this young man. Just look at his eyes and you can see everything he feels. Great speech! I am looking this over and over again and I my grandson saw it. It is important to make our children and grandchildren to understand what is the most important thing in life.

Last year after the watching 'The Story of Us with Morgan Freeman' on Netflix, I started searching online, I found Survival International and began donating money to raise awareness and protection for the many families around the world. Half of my family is from Brazil, I decided to go visit even though I have no living relatives over there, and I felt full of life and joy experiencing nature up close and personal. Today seeing this video, Nixiwaka inspires me so much and I def feel so proud of him. Please share this video with others and inspire them to become part of this great journey.

My father taught me how to be at one with nature. He loved all animals, all living creatures, plants, rocks, mountains, the ocean, you name it, he loved it. I learned that from him. I can’t imagine not having that love, nor the spiritual communion it brings. Of course, give. What most humans have done to the earth in their greed, with that love comes pain. I very much enjoyed this wonderful talk.

Sharon, you were blessed to have had a very evolved father, mine isn’t so much. Overall as humans we don’t LOVE enough, our fellow humans, the animal kingdom, Mother Earth should be sacred yet not fully understood, were is it taught? It’s all fragmented learnings, so I encouraged my children to research the answers to questions, to always be curious, to understand, & to be kind & compassionate. It was my best endeavour to equip my children to ask about who, what, where and why, and to never assume complacency in life, as nothing is guaranteed.

I'm Native American, and I have always felt so connected to nature, my ancestors, and learning about different cultures. It's amazing your tribe is so open to inviting people to learn. I hope that I can go in the future. And I hope that our societies can solve the land and environmental issues. Thank you for this talk and for sharing. :)

Shana Leigh I feel called to nature. I am Chinese American, and I have always sought connection. My ancestors have lived in a little village in southern China for hundreds of years. I love how he added in the part about ayahuasca - like it takes balls to go up and talk about the real spirituality of it all knowing most people in that audience, especially for the year had being 2014, would think it was crazy (myself included at the time). What a wonderful message, and from such a humble spirit 🕊
