I feel like you've been watching my videos lately with the light mounting to the Arc 2.. I throw my Aputure 300x on there sometimes! Anyways - hope you watched my most recent one.. the mobile app and firmware need an update. Arc 2 is still the best system I've used for motion control but there's definitely room for improvement.

Thanks Tommy! We'll have to check out your video. And, yes, we're working hard on firmware updates. Were you able to download the latest one?

Love the slider and we actually own one ARC 2. Very curios of the best way to synchronize shots(like in shot 7). Is there any option that is not manual? We did a video in the past and because the slider was in loop and did many passes it was very difficult to align the shots to then mask things to create the “magic”. We ended up not using it because of that. We plan to try it again. Hopefully you can give us some ideas. Thank you!

For me, it was always about doing slower moves. If I remember correctly, Arc II can emmit a beep that can act as a syncing point as well. Haven't done the move in a while so sometimes it is just a matter of testing out different options.

Im on the fence about the slider. The juddering is concerning. But still, really awesome.

Totally get it. The jitters only come up at certain speeds and our latest firmware does a great job of eliminating even the tough ones. We're committed to making the slider better and better this year through both firmware and a few hardware updates.

After receiving my 42" slider with Arc II and High Torque Motor, I've not experienced any jitters. Just buttery smooth movements!

With shot 7, is it also possible to combine tilt, pan *and* sliding? 4:28

And what about the rest of us that don't own the ARC II but own the Rhino ROV? Can we use the same moves?

Randy you'll still be able to do a fair amount of them minus the additional motion control. Hope you're enjoying your ROV.

@@RhinoCameraGear Yeah, I understand the ARC II (which I just couldn't afford) has all the cool buttery tilt and pan options. I was just being hopeful. I love my ROV but I want to be able to use it for some stargazing timelapses but I had a heck of a time getting my Canon 80D to cooperate with the ROV. Thanks for following up with me.
