    Great comparison, and good to see you presenting, Ben! I’ve had sliders on my wishlist for heads now and it’s good to see innovations happening here

    Amazing video! Thank you so much! Which length would you recommend while shooting without any assistance - E500 or E700? Which one have you used while shooting the documentary?

    Hi Ben, Thanks for a great review. Was that the 700 (medium length) slider? Also, I was under the impression you can run all three motors with a USB-C 5v 2amp input. Is that not correct?

      Three USB-C’s on household current is how I run my Micro3-PT. No problems at all. Just pop open the rubber cover and plug in.

    Great video! However, in all the videos I have watched so far, no one has done tracking tests with moving objects to check if the movement is smooth. Can these two systems track moving objects such as birds, planes., cars, drones?

    My question is payload, they keep saying "high payload" then throw a mirrorless camera on the slider in every video. Do you know if it can hold something up to 12 pounds, and still operate very smooth?

    Great comparison. Been looking to get something to work with the probe lens so this is well timed. Have you used the Zeapon since for any macro shots with the probe lens yourself. Is it smooth for that too. Also, which length version of the Zeapon were you showing here? Thanks.

      See our review of the probe lens. We used the Rhino for that and the Zeapon is just as smooth

    Thank you so much for this informative video. I've been going round and round on researching 3 axis sliders lately and the Zeapon was not even on my radar. The slide/pan footage looked smooth and I would like to assume the tilt would be just as smooth. Does the Zeapon hold up on 3 axis macro product shots? Is it fairly silent during a slide/pan?

    • @VisualEducationStudio
      @VisualEducationStudio  Рік тому +2

      yes the tilt is smooth as well, we haven't tested on using macro so can't be 100% but I don't see why it wouldn't hold up as it is very smooth, there is a little bit of an electronic sound whilst its running, not completely silent but when we've filming for documentary etc you don't hear the slider at all picked up in any of the radio or shotgun mics, there is a slight sound but its very very minimal

    Arca plates to dismount/mount on the two tripods. Or a single nice big Davis and Sandford or Gitzo. Adjusting the two as you did didn't seem particularly wise for the equipment. Wouldn't happen on any set I've been on. Did you damage the Rhino head? The Rhino site says 15 lbs capacity, and they have several different pulley motors. I do like the idea of small and the outboard posts to deal with the tilt problem similar to Edelkrone, see Gerald Undone review, but dropping bluetooth at small distance seems much worse than reliable cords and on-the-device setup and control. I'm sure the Zeapon and cheap tripods will have a following, but Z seems more faffing around in power and operation, and less direct than the Rhino. Long stainless rods on the Rhino, short carbon on the Z, when short carbon or stainless are available on the Rhino, and no travel distance stated. Honestly your exaggerated Rhino location change on camera seems bizarre. Unconvincing review.

    What are your thoughts in regards to noise from the Zeapon vs the Rhino? We mainly use them for interviews setups. Thanks (great review! to the point and comprehensive)

      There is a small noise from the Zeapon but nothing that we have noticed being picked up from our microphones

    13:00 I think you need the slow motor for the incline

    Looks like a "no-brainer" in favor of the Zeapon - especially if working alone!

    The ArcII has definitely it own issues… I needed to replace twice the high speed motor!
    Development of the product isn’t finished in my eyes… I waited two and more years to get possibility’s to set more than keyframes. I keep the unit but I will not anymore recommend it.
    If you use it in a slopped position keep in mind to have the motor on the top position (not as shown in the video) so that the motor needs to pull and not to push. Also the high torque motor is more adequate for this kind of jobs because it have more power but it is slower… you should also use a leveling plate for the ArcII unit…

    • @VisualEducationStudio
      @VisualEducationStudio  Рік тому +1

      Ben didn't even get as far as putting the high torque motor in the correct position when sloped because the camera kept slipping on the head, it didn't seem to hold the camera straight even when the Rhino was on, it was so much easier on the Zeapon without the need to even change motors
