I gotta say I love Rich’s humor. Man he always has me laughing.
You make me and the squad laugh,by forgetting that we didn't ask.
@@captinmurphy1999 good one
Haha
Back at it
Half of the time it's so unexpected. Makes it so much funnier
When can I subscribe to Rich Rebeard?
YES LOL
Im thinking a grooming channel
Rich I don't care about Tesla's, but I love the videos because they crack me up. Especially tweeking the fan boys. Good stuff.
Chad is just invaluable. He knows everything that there is to know about working on these :D
Chad seems like the nicest guy in the world :D
True. I love his laugh, almost like poking the Pillsbury dough boy, though who couldn't laugh at Rich's clever comments. Seems like a fun place to work even when the camera is off. I don't imagine there is screaming and a line-boss hassling everyone like at some shops (see "American Hot Rod" cable show of Boyd Coddington's dysfunctional shop).
That's a lotta maintenance considering it's a maintenance free car

UA-cam subtitles be like: “I went over a few things like range comparison between my ex and my ass”
Me: “holdup”
AMR15H read this right as I heard it haha
What the flip YT
Really enjoy hearing you and Chad go through the steps/issues. Not a Tesla owner, just a fan.
4:30 ring notification had me looking around for my phone wondering what happened.
9:42 the simplisafe tone for door opening... thought I was going crazy, could've sworn it was my door, was trying to figure out which door was opening and why my app wasn't notifying me until I played the video back twice lol.
@4:33 is the Windchimes from my Ring notification so spent a minute trying to figure out where the event was on my phone.
Beautiful blue Panigale!
Me too
I truly do not understand why people keep propagating the notion that EV's need no maintenance. Good vid. Rich. and EV Garage.
Andrew Whitehead; I think my old Gen Two Prius has something to do with that. No seriously, everybody gives them shit, Tesla Toyboys shit on them for using gas, Toyota toyboys shit on them for being electric ..and any time I tried to go up a hill or literally just move in snow I shit on it too but honestly, I’ve never seen a vehicle that required so little to go so far. The Prius played a huge role in building EVs low maintenance rep, IMO.
@@aaronmacy9134 it comes from evs have way less moving parts. and not all evs are rebuilt from multiple cars like Richs'
@@burq- also hybrid vehicles doesnt overuse their powertrain, the prius uses a relativ big engine but in aktkinson cycle, the prius has a very sophisticated catalytic converter, also the tesla model y is almost a copy of the prius , you can compare the two , from the dasboard to the hatchback and rear storage.... the tesla also needs a solar roof like the prius for some basic things like summon
@@burq- His Model X was purchased directly from Tesla. He didn't build it like his other cars.
Yup, EV's have less moving parts. And thus one feather becomes five hens.
I love your humour, keep it up especially now when we're all stuck inside, unless in Sweden.
"Useless does not mean valueless" 😘
Superbly informative and, Rich, you do an excellent job of narrating and presenting.
Hey Uncle Rich, my lease is nearing its end on my gas car and I’ve been watching the prices of Early Model S’ dip lower and lower as the days pass. My question is should that be something to consider for my first EV to be used as a Daily Driver and if I decide to go that route what are some things I can expect from a Model S with 70K+ miles on the dash? Thanks in advance if you can provide some insight!
Thanks for dropping some knowledge on us about the model X.
@RichRebuilds I wish I watched this Playlist earlier. Today is officially ELEVEN DAYS since I ordered my used Tesla Model S. I specifically picked one that was listed as at a local dealer and I am picking it up (so it doesn't even need to be transported further than their storage place because I guess they don't keep them on site?). No idea what the delay is. Once you make payment, they become ghosts. I'm on my 3rd potential delivery date already, all I've been told is that there's been a "logistics delay". I tried to call their call center on Friday and was left on hold soo long the system gave up and just told me to leave a message. This is STRESSFUL. Your videos are the only thing keeping me sane over here.
Update: Got a 4th delivery date and NO ONE can explain why. Keep in mind, the car is not being shipped. I specially selected a local car. I have been insuring a vehicle I don't have for almost a month now....
love the burner sample!!!
I've done the rapid mate on the side of the interstate when Tesla Service failed to put any of the bolts in.Wonderful bunch.
Andre juneau what?
??????
Rich - your videos have great narration, and even better comedic timing !! I always chuckle at the lamest things.
I hadnt even thought about the reduced brake lifetime due to nonuse!
It really annoys me that fanboys don't seem to be objective in many cases. I think you are doing a real service to the Tesla and EV community by be pragmatic and honest about your experiences. This aids in setting realistic expectations about what to expect when considering an EV and applying consumer focussed pressure onto a company to improve their behaviours and interactions. The quickest way for a company to and grow improve is to listen to the community focussed on your products and incrementally improve where it is feasible to do so. This helps all stakeholders, especially the fan boys! Thank you so much for what you do :)
Real talk I learned a TON from watching this video and the one before about what to prepare for with a used Model X. Thanks Rich!
Dude, let us help you with your beautiful mangey beard. -Eric
Yeah, by some $60 beard oil... we swear it's not just some dollar store shit we just marked up lol
You probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last few months =)
@Marcus Jaxson Definitely, I have been using InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
Well this was awkward.
Love how everything is explained
12:00 talk about Breaks on EV.
Interesting.
Thanks Rich
Love your sense of humor, Rich! And your car dance was cool too!
Love to see knowledge in a mechanic like this
Hey Rich, great video as always. I have a suggestion for the mechanical brake corrosion issue. How about suggesting to TESLA to create a API to have the cars computer set a interval of using the mechanical brakes once in a while so that they get hot enough to keep from corroding from lack of use? The API can be either set on a schedule or selected by the owner to perform the action which would show up on the screen as such. Just a thought. Stay safe!
Or you can turn regenerative braking off for a while.
Good info. Thanks
Good vid. I like ones like this where we can actually learn something from the professionals. No kitchen knives, Waa Waa.
What about placing stainless steel insect mesh in front of the air filter to prevent mice/rats eating it?
Love the video, great info. I hope I never have to pull out my battery.
DAMN!!!! Did y’all see that dudes falcon get hit by the semi????
Thanks for the info
Wow. Chad is really great.
I learned A LOT.
Thanks so much!
Dat transition to ad be buttery smooth as always
Your simply safe open door sound keeps making me think someone opened my doors lol! Got me like three times.
Electrified Garage - Awesome!! I recall when our boy Richie B used to fix cars with his wife’s steak knives 🤣😆
The good old days
Butter knife. Nobody trusting him with a sharp knife.
I like these videos. Good old Rich comedy along with a lot of learning.
Here is an idea for you: A Tesla powered lawn mower so we can't hear old neighbors mowing everyday.
I'm waiting for the jetski
I own an electric lawnmower. No need to wait on tesla
2 people in my neighborhood have those.its like a roomba for your yard
Electric Lawmowers still make noise
I just tune in to hear your square space pitch it's hilarious
I rarely comment, but when you said "That's a New England battery right there" I lost it! 😂 Our sweet rust bucket home.
Thanks for your honest videos! 👍 It's great to see the technical knowledge you guys have. 👌Greetings from Norway
If Tesla can’t fix it, we better fix it ourselves!
But Tesla is a great car. Still love my Model 3 and love making it unique!
Unique = Personalized License Plate. Lol
I love this man's grammar. It's quite Rich.
Hi Richard, great video and a
great SHOP. Take care guys and God bless you and your families.

What is it a building AC duct filter you cut down ?
Your guys are real pros at EG. You are in good hands.
I’ve been following you since the first episode of the Delores rebuild. Your humor always makes my day I thank you for all the laughs man keep up the great work!
Great episode, it left me feeling optimistic:)
Gave you a thumbs up for the first minute alone!
Rich your mechanic is a Gem
Thank you Rich for proving that even cool dudes can have difficulty growing a beard.
Idea: create custom Tesla parts and sell them on this channel. You are a f’ng good salesmen
Start with getting a plasma cutter :)
Hey Rich, why is the first video uploaded today private? When I clicked the link UA-cam said it was private and that I'm unable to watch.
Ordinary hero walking in at 17:23 you are the real MVP.

Is this still you most useless car now that Delores has no supercharging?

Hey Rich! Love your videos. Here's a question I have a hard time finding an answer to. I have a 2015 Model S with the old MCU. I really want to upgrade it but I'm not superexcited at paying Tesla 2500 bucks for it. Is doing an upgrade myself safe? How do I know where to get a solid new-ish usable MCU? Are there any issues? Hope this could be a future video! Thanks!
Chad's the man! What a super knowledgeable guy!
Where can I get an S for 20k? I’ll take two

Wow! Thanks!
Can you get brake pads like those for the Model 3? Where do you get those from?
you need to be hired by a marketing firm. your sponsored ad drops crack me up.
next project needs to be a cummins swapped tesla
Yep he could build one off of that factory test car
What about putting threaded rods on mounting holes to allow alignment to be much more precise? I have used this on head gasket installs
What if you got that ceramic coated? Would that help with the stuck handles?
Love that thumbnail!
How'd this just premier an hour ago? I'm pretty sure i watched it like 4 hours ago.

After much ado I can finally see someone smart with the borescope...
For the first 30 seconds, I thought I was watching Rich Rebeards.
Jeebus, Tesla needs to fix this extremely common control arm problem.
Dat free-supercharging tho!
This also happens to my Manual transmission cars.
But were those brake pads glued? Wish you would have covered that in more detail. ;) Awesome as usual Rich.
Been driving a 96 honda accord i bought for 900 dollars for pas 3 years. Spent maybe 300-400 on repairs. It's not good on gas, but i can get two more accords for he price you paid to service a Tesla. I fail so see where the savings are or how it's "cheap" to drive a Tesla.
Those cameras are handy!
How much was the battery coolant coupler?
Lol was thinking about how absurd the battery hot swap idea was as you were doing this.
Would you recommend budgeting a couple thousand a year for maintenance?
Rich looks like Deji/ ComedyShortsGamer with a college degree
Lmfaoooo he do though
I’m confused comedy shorts gamer is deji
Charm grfxs your lying.
Chad didn't use one butter-knife to remove the battery. Rich is going Hollywood.
$1800? Pfft! You need to own a BMW to get truly heart stopping "maintenance" bills.
😂😂
But bmw is quality and quality has it's price. Tesla has only a price without quality

Another great video.
Hey rich I need some help with my 2008 Sat vue hybrid. having issues with the battery. Can electrified help?
Awesome video as always and explaining how a Tesla works and survives is fantastic. I would love to have a Tesla myself but it needs to have the same functionality and interior capacity as my 2004 Toyota minivan all-wheel-drive which now has 155,000 miles on it and so far we have only replaced the belts and the water pump due to one belt breaking . The belt that broke was the power steering belt so when that was replaced we did the timing belt and water pump as preventative measures. Also flush the transmission and add a new fluid along with all the other fluids replaced. I manage rental property and the minivan will hold at least four garbage cans full of wood chips or leaves along with chainsaw leaf blower weedeater buckets of tools and other boxes of supplies and a roof rack where I keep a ladder and a pole saw trimmer. It is a better truck with the function of keeping your tools safe and secure than my large ram trucks for holding Tools in performing jobs. I don’t think the model X quite has the interior space yet to match the Toyota minivan.
Electrified Garage knows their business! !!
The reason for the filter being glued is to prevent (whatever minuscule) airflow from passing between the filter and the filter housing. By installing the blue filter loose you’ve eliminated the biohazard feature. I’m not sure it’s even a HEPA system anymore.
Keep on mocking Tesla, I enjoyed watching you making fun of tesla😂😂
