Jackass are literally PEAK Physical/Cringe Comedy of the 2000's that cannot be compared. Those guys are the GOATs for hurting/humiliating themselves for a bunch of teenagers to laugh at and the fact that they still do this at an old age are commendable.
It's essentially a modern version of clowns, it's really impressive honestly. It's more edgy and gross but it's a form of comedy that's been around since forever basically. People have always loved laughing at fools being hurt or doing something gross. It really is impressive though, the stuff they do to themselves is insane.
Some of them have physical limitations now but they did it for our entertainment. If they stopped after Jackass Forever, I'd respect & understand why but appreciate all of the memories
@@qkomodo9098The OG members are definitely guiding and passing the torch to the new members. It is still the same fun vibes they give even if the Johnny and Steve O lessen the intensity of their stunts.

It's not the stunts that make Jackass. It's the camaraderie, the fact that they're all so happy and love playing together. Jackass is wholesome, once you realize that it becomes truly great.
@@Baka_Oppai You'll notice fewer people agree with you, that's because not all of us are sociopaths, yes the stunts are fucking funny, but it's their interactions and camaraderie that makes it 100 times better.
although none of the guys died while performing any stunts, ryan dunn (the man sitting in the chair in the beginning of the plane stunt) and one of his friends were in a fatal car crash due to ryan driving whilst drunk. may their memories forever be a blessing
Just a corrective note, not all the members of Jackass are still alive, but none perished while making stunts. Ryan Dunn and a producer died while the former was drunk driving his Porsche.
These girls are good sports. Having no concept of our American culture and humor, alot of what we find funny is alien to them, but they still watched and even enjoyed it. Got to love that the guys have crossed into an International market.
seems to me that they laughed at all the same parts every american did, slapstick comedy is far from "alien" to asians, look at Jacky Chan. physical comedy is universal, watching an american stand-up with jokes they wouldnt understand would be "alien" to them and they wouldnt be wanting to see more.
The unfortunate side effect of the Jackass buffoonery was that kids at the school I worked at would often try to emulate and video their stunts in the playground or down the steps which resulted in so many injuries. No matter how many times they were warned off or got badly injured, they just kept doing it.
It is hard to believe how popular Jackass was. I was the perfect age and loved it. With distance, and age, it seems beyond reckless. Thats probably what we liked.
For reference, when Ehren was getting hit in the crotch, he was wearing an athletic cup, which is a metal cup that protects the genitals from taking the full brunt of these hits. While it will prevent most of the impact from going to the genitals, the cup itself can dig into the skin around it, causing cuts, as well as being pushed back enough so the cup itself can compress the genitals, which can also cause some pain.
Apparently, Jackass is a show for those wild youngster out there.. Watching Jackass in my youth is the best things I've had.. Also, this is the proper reaction people should show😂
12:25 Incorrect. Not all members are alive. Ryan Dunn passed away in 2011. He did not die from a Jackass stunt, though. It was a car accident, unfortunately. RIP.
This might be the best thing I've watched in a long time. I've been a fan of the Jackass guys since the beginning, and it's fun to see them react for the first time.
12:24 Here she asks if they are still alive, and yes the ones shown are. But one of the original members and main stunt-men was Ryan Dunn, he died 8 months after the release of Jackass 3-D due to a car wreck, although he didn't die in the stunts, he was a popular figure and was close friends to all the members of the group. Rest in Piece Ryan Dunn.
And, in a sense, we can also say Bam died with him. All the other dudes didn't fall off the deep end (Ehren) or put their shit together after years and years of substance abuse (Steve-O, Knox) but Bam has been on the downward spiral ever since Dunn died.
For anyone wondering why it exists: in the American film industry since about the 1920’s there’s been a mix of comedians doing gag humor and physical humor on film and a mix of stunt doubles and stunt men on film. Jackass also is heavily inspired by modern media (films/news/memes) and modern/old Americana (bulls/snakes/fishing/portapottys/monster trucks/carnivals/exotic animals- a lot of it related to American Fair/American celebration like a festival/town events) and 2000 prank humor (UA-cam/memes/Americas Funniest Home Videos/and others like Ridiculousness and a lot of TLC dramas and reality tv show humor) The majority of the jackass members were skateboarders who did competitions and went on to do acting work or stunt acting work as skateboarding/biking/scooter etc so a majority of them had in some way known about the acting industry prior to filming Jackass as a group. (You have Charlie Chaplin films and others who did a ton of physical humor collapsing buildings high speed cars and gags/jokes about being hit and falling over just to pick yourself up and be knocked over again.) The goal of both actors Comedian vs Stuntman is to make a scene appear ridiculous or wild or graphic all on the cheapest budget imaginable. The comedian is outright with the stunts and displays the Stuntman has to make sure everything is seamless and goes mostly unnoticed - you see it happen but it doesn’t register as a stunt it’s a punch or a backflip or etc etc done by the characters on screen not actors. Jackass is a movie series that follows basically the life of being a stuntman and what that entails: you have to be willing to throw and break your body for a good shot on film that has a 75% cut rate and won’t be shown. You might get severely injured and have issues being paid by people when they don’t even use that footage in the official release of the film (This can even be seen in The Wizard of Oz when the witch was lit on fire one of those times she actually was set alight and then taken to the er - they didn’t want to pay for her hospital bills and she was the main villian of the show. The main actors and cast didn’t fare much better. Imagine what it meant for a stuntman not even a named actor to throw their life on the line for the film only to not have to company even pay them for their time/injured on set.) Atleast with Jackass you know every stunt was paid for every injury was paid for. the actors were taking care of themselves very poorly and aggressively at the beginning of the filming, they were younger and broke, and now towards the end are much more careful professional and design more complex gags which aren’t just direct physical pain done at the cheapest scale possible. They have budgets but better contacts and better equipment and behind the scenes first aid etc
I remember going to my cousins house when I was only 6 yrs old and he had Jackass 1 and 2. We would laugh for hours or almost throw up at the gross parts 😂.
Still to this day my body stiffens up every time I watch the Jackass guys do the papercut skit where they cut parts of their body with paper. I still look away every time I see that one part where they cut the corners of the mouth. Thank God these girls don't have to experience that scene.
Yep. These girls got off easy for a first Jackass contact. They didn't get the pubes beard scene, the port-a-potty scenes, Steve-O puking or piercing his cheek to use himself as shark bait, Bam branding his ass with a farm of dicks, or all the times they shove stuff up their asses. Just good ol' violence and dick punches. And yes. Ehren truly carried the Forever movie with the amount of stunts he did. And they should have gotten the Scorpion Botox stunt as well. Just for them to see even girls can pull off wild shit when they're around (or, even worse, *part* of) the Jackass crew
It's just a tarantula, it's not harmful. Venomous yes, but not enough to kill a person. I've owned plenty of tarantulas in my day. And they're quite gentle, peaceful creatures. My Chilean Rose Hair was the biggest sweetheart of a pet, I adored her.
