I hate these things man... As soon as I turn on the lights these things rush towards it and when I look away for just a couple of seconds there's already hundreds of them. The spiders and lizards are already full and I don't have an electric fly swatter around.
In my native language we call it liyek (lee-yek) and yes people eat it. They mostly come after a storm or a typhoon and we don't mind it much since birds, lizards eat them but what's annoying is that they crawl under the sliding window thus getting inside the house flying around near the light bulb.
usually i just spray them with bug spray because they always swarm in my room and they're annoying af cuz they love shedding their wings in the bathroom and living in the shower so i kill them before they enter the bathroom
How bad was it to get this taken care of? I just saw these swarmers appear today out of nowhere on the floor of my basement bathroom. They had lost their wings at this point. I saw more wings than actual bugs, but I took care of the ones I did find.
@@jstraub78 They were pretty easy to get rid of, they were crawling over my floor. My grandparents put some sort of like spray foam to prevent them from entering after killing them.
I’ve been seeing swarmers coming out of my bathroom tub drain and shower drain in the last two days out of nowhere. They do flock near the window. I see no other signs in or outside anywhere. I will call a pro but does this mean the problem is definitely bad or no? Ty
Hello , Sorry I think I have the same problem, I’m seeing swarmers are full in my house but I don’t know where are they coming from and it’s not rain season and no any any signs of other swamers outside How did you solve your problem.
Oh god now I know what thing scared the living hell out of me. I was at the beach when I see hundreds of these things everywhere. They would always swarm the lights. I saw one get on the table near me, I tried shooing it away. But then it looked at me and flew on my head. It felt like it was attacking me and I kept swatting and screaming. My parents told me to go this dark place to avoid them. I was very shaken by it and eventually our ride came.
Yeah, they definitely bite. I don’t know I I’ve been bitten before. I’m in a place that’s infested with them. You see them even walking around no joke luckily I’m renting.
You're wrong about them not biting. We got swarmed one night and were woken by them biting us as we slept.
Sounds pretty accurate. The only issue is that mine is actually in my apartment.
@Robin what did the apartment complex do to solve the issue?
What did the apartment complex do to solve the issue?
@@gladysgallegos3306 turn off the all the lights and give them one light source outside, that helped me.
I just noticed these in my apartment last week and they are everywhere. Especially my bathroom 😮 so gross
@@samanthameinhardt884Just found some in mine. 😭

It is your turn to feast on them after the spiders
I would take a blo torch and quickly sweep it through the air.

In my native language we call it (gamu-gamo)
solution: lure them out. Turn off all lights except one but turn on one by one until they are out of your home

They will eat all of your house furniture and then you will mind it.
We call it gamo-gamo in Philippines they appear every 5-6pm only if it rains in afternoon, pretty rare tho
What if I see swarmers outside the house but not inside? We had a massive rain the other day and then boom, thousands outside the house.
@Smokin Chevy no it just means a colony is nearby
I hate doing things hungover aswell
Mines are in the washer, and the washer sink in the garage, what to do
Thank you, I can say I now know the difference!
I have had 3 incidents since past week!
If they want to get out in nature then why would we want to treat?
Let them out!
What if it sounds like a swarm of them in my wall. It sounds sooo strange not a clicking sound either.
This was helpful.
This is a good one thanks :)
Do these bite? I got not by something that looks similar . What else could cause a extremely painful bite swelling and pain lasting for 20 minutes ?
Thank you Tyson.
I had an infestation of termites inside my house once per year, always in the summer.
I feel your pain.

My problem is that when I kill the termites their wings come out
They are not in my house. They are flying around outside in the yard.

I don't consider the swarmers as pests as long they don't create nests in my yards, I actually like some insects, swarmers are one of them
What if they only have 2 wings?

You eat it too
Are the wings gray
Thank uou
We eat these things in Nigeria. But thanks for the info about them.
i dont want my room to look like shit how the fuck do i get rid of them
Turn a light on on the outside of the house. Turn off all the lights inside. Let them outside.
it has been 5 months and i killed all of the personally already but i will take this advice to prevent future incidents involving termite swarmers
It's tasty, I have eaten many times. They come out to fly n feed themselves for hunger birds, animals, insects etc.
katu katu
There's a lot of them inside my house swarming the lights again
Lmao same
Go eat them
