As for parrying, press light attack and move in the direction of the opponent at the same time. It's important to note that each parry needs to be a new key input.
Push the analog stick in the direction of the enemy's location in regards to Raiden's position. Imagine that Raiden's body is the analog stick - as a mental image - and push it towards the enemy from the screen's perspective. You don't push the stick in the direction of the attack like For Honor or Mordhou/Chivalry
