      Thanks for watching and commenting! I really love the Mojotone, it has a great tone and a really nice feel, especially after it breaks in a bit. Rock on!

      I have the 100 as well and put mojotone greyhounds(1/2 american tone and 1/2 British ,best of both worlds). Very happy with them.

      I found out for myself upgrading a peavey, and have heard the same from others, the creamback pairs very well with solid state amps

    Anyone try this with the original Mustang modeling amps ? I'm guessing it would work, but I don't know. Thanks for the video !

      Great question! I used to have the 40 watt Mustang with the 12'" speaker and the only issue I can think of would be to make sure to pick a replacement speaker that doesn't have too large of a magnet, otherwise it might not fit in the closed back cabinet. Beyond that, make sure the impedance and wattage are correct and the upgrade should be a success! Hope this helps. Rock on!

      @@MicroMysticMusic That's a good point about the closed back cabinet. Thanks

    Which speaker do you like the best after trying both out?

      Thanks for watching and thanks for asking. Both are awesome, but I prefer the Texas Heat because it is a little bit lighter and has a slightly warmer tone. Hope this helps. Rock on!

    Since i'm just living room guitarist who doesn't need loud volumes, i'm looking for a warm tone speaker which sounds better and is not as loud as the stock speaker. I'm thinking of a 16 ohm Jensen speaker... or do you have some other recommendation?

    • @MicroMysticMusic
      @MicroMysticMusic  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching and thanks for asking! I know that the Champion 40 has an 8 ohm speaker and I'm not sure about the compatibility with a 16 ohm speaker... that said I think a Jensen would be a great match for what you're looking for. Here is the one that I would use personally: Jensen C12N Vintage Ceramic 12-inch 50-watt Replacement Guitar Speaker - 8 ohm. Hope this helps! Rock on!

      @@MicroMysticMusic Many thanks for your answer. As far as i know, a 16 Ohm Speaker at an 8 Ohm amp decreases the volume!? My neighbours are older (vintage 😁) people, i don't want to abuse them too much... 🙈
      P.S. What's better for a warm vintage bluesy rock sound, alnico or ceramic speakers?

    • @MicroMysticMusic
      @MicroMysticMusic  Рік тому +1

      @@Juno58 Vintage neighbors!! That made me laugh out loud!! Funny! I'm still not sure about the impedance (ohms) so I can't comment on that. As far as alnico vs ceramic, I've never played an alnico speaker, but I do have one ceramic and one ferrite and I can say that the ceramic (MojoTone BV30) is a little brighter and punchier (SRV Super Reverb style) where the ferrite (Eminence Texas Heat) is a little warmer and has a softer attack (Hendrix Band of Gypsies style). I prefer ceramic personally, but for your application you might want to go with a less punchy option. I have also heard great reviews on the Eminence Cannabis Rex for warming up the amp and the speaker is rated at only 50 watts as opposed to the Texas Heat which is 150 watts. I also think that the Jensen is still a good idea as well, especially if you are going to be using Channel 2 "Blackface" Green or Orange settings as the green setting (Deluxe Reverb) is already bass heavy and the orange setting (Princeton Reverb) is a kind of dark to begin with. I hope this helps! Please do let me know if you have any more questions. Rock on!

      @Juno58 Рік тому

      @@MicroMysticMusic Blackface green and orange are exactly my favourite settings! 😉👍
      Or with a Behringer OD300 pedal into the clean channel, which gives a brighter/ cleaner overdriven sound than the amps own gain.
      I'll do some research about the speaker impedance and the effect on the amps overall volume before i look for a new speaker.
      Thanks again for your detailed answers and kind regards from Germany 🇩🇪 👋

      @@Juno58 Right on, very cool, my joy to help... and thanks for sharing that you use the Blackface voicings, they are by far my favorite besides going into the clean channel with a SD-1 like you do with the Behringer. All of the above are definitely great ways to get those blues/rock tones! Please do let me know what speaker you end up using, as I'd love to learn from your experience. Rock on!

    I have a peavey sheffield 1230 speaker made in the usa, do you think it would sound better than the factory one. I don't have the amp that's why the question

    • @MicroMysticMusic
      @MicroMysticMusic  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for watching and thank you for asking. I used to have a Bandit with the 75 watt Sheffield, and in my opinion it is far superior to the stock speaker in the Fender... especially at band volume. Just make sure the ohms is correct. The Champion 40 is 8 ohms. Hope that helps. Rock on!

    Could you try or did you try reverb pedals to find out how it sounds from the input (since it doesn't have an effects loop) and how it goes with a guitar with humbucker pickups?

    • @MicroMysticMusic
      @MicroMysticMusic  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for asking. I've used my friend's EHX Holy Grail a few times and it sounds great in the front end. The effect is clear and articulate through the clean channel (just like it would be with an effects loop); as far as the second channel goes, the reverb reacts just like it would putting it into a normal amp with overdrive: the more gain, the more the reverb is accentuated. Both ways sound great, just depends on what tone you are going for. I've never tried humbuckers, but I have hit the front end hard with many different boost pedals so think it would sound great with a humbucker as well. Hope this helps. Rock on!

      @@MicroMysticMusic Thank you very much for your time, my questions are because I want to buy it and I wanted to know everything about this amp since it is light and I am only interested in the clean channel to send my pedals to it.

      Right on, you're very welcome. This Fender excels as a clean pedal platform, adding the better speaker will only enhance the quality. Based on this and what you've shared, I think you're really going to enjoy this amp. That said, I'd love to hear from you once you get the amp and see what you think about it. Rock on!
