Thank God for leaving the Bible for us to study as proof of Jesus's existence, sacrifice, and deliverance! All the life advice is loving extra! Hallelujah!!! Maranatha!!!
I'm shocked how believers don't read the Word of God carefully: 1. Jesus was raised...He didn't raise himself Acts 2:32. 2. Jesus said his Father is greater than himself John 14:28, and also indicated clearly that he, Jesus, has a God (John 20:17), Jesus did not claim to be God. In fact, he said he could do nothing of himself. Acts 2:22. Please, before you react on me, go read it yourself. Jesus asked God to let the cup pass from him. This guy actually says it at the end...Jesus was raised...he didn't raise himself. His Father is God. There is only one God. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ - 2Cor 1:3, Eph 1:3, 1Pet1:3
Please, do not read judgement into anything I write. I appreciate your post, as it got me thinking through Scripture in a new way! While I don’t read Hebrew or Greek, the English translations I read state, ‘God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ’ (Rom 1:7, 1 Cor 1:3, 2 Cor 1:2, 2 Thess 1:2, Philemon 1:3… among other letter greetings). Now, this is when the author is writing about God in a sense of authority, like asking for grace and peace for the readers. When talking specifically about God the Father is when the author will state the ‘of’ relationship. (2 Cor 1:2-3 is a great example of both the authoritative ‘and’ and relational ‘of.’) I recognize the Divinity of Jesus Christ, because of Scripture. The believers in the first church recognized Jesus as the LOOOONG awaited Savior, and as God, Himself (John 1:18). His mother conceived him through the Holy Spirit, not just anybody (Matt 1:18). God created everything through Jesus, and everything is held together by Him. (John 1:1-18) I have no clue how Jesus could be with God at the beginning of creation, and come to earth as a baby. (I still don’t understand how people get the Trinity-a triune nature of God-but I do understand that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit have a supernatural connection.) Along these lines, God is SO MASSIVELY AMAZING that I can never fully understand Him this side of Heaven, and at the same time I want to know Him well and see His Kingdom here on earth! Sometimes, I like to read a passage with one worldview in mind, then reread that same section with an opposing viewpoint in mind. After reading your post, I’m going to read Scripture with the viewpoint I have, and then pray for increased wisdom and understanding, and try reading the same passage of Scripture. Acts 2:21-38!
