Nice to see some love for Soniccouture, they certainly deserve that. Most of my favorite libraries are from them!
Thanks, we appreciate that!
I'm late to the party with SC. Missed the boat on All Saints Choir discount.
Certainly like how "The Carol of the Bells" mixes with a Nordic Christmas on Nyckelharpa. Well done, Guy. The true Christmas Miracle must be how you can wear the Princess Leia Headphones of Doom underneath that Father Christmas hat :) Truly wonderful. Looking forward to the last instalment of "Guy's Christmas 2023".
Best composition so far in this series I think. All have been remarkable to those of us who struggle to even enter a note!
This would certainly fit the mood of a traditional family Christmas in Finland. The only time of the year we actually get together with our relatives and the strangeness is more real than ever... Yet there's something beautiful about it, just like this tune!
So Arnold and I sort of nailed it
All I know is I gained a great appreciation for all the many types of christmas bells, and can never get enough of that dino bell🦖🔔
Really awesome guy, that became a beautiful piece. I am enjoying this mini series, but I always enjoy watching you work and seeing how your creative process works. Thank you.
thank you so much guy for taking Christmas
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, Guy! I've needed some more inspiration for writing music again, which this series has fully provided. Cheers!
Oh, those Nyckelharpas sound good. Like swedish pickles!
they are very distinctive
One of the main suspense, if not comic, ressources of this channel is to see Guy dealing with a DAW he's not realy used to. Will he make it? And Yes!!!
As a Logic user I love when he uses it but I guess the Lives', Studio1's or FL's users have the same kind of joy when it's their turn.🤙🏻 Poor Cubase users!
Anyway, an other excellent video from our beloved Guy. Merry Xmas to him and his team.
9:00 : A Picardy third doesn't work everty time. (well, not sure of the translation of "une tierce picarde". Picardian third? Anyway, you get the idea)
Please tell me Arnold is sticking around for the new year and beyond 😂
Looking forward to what you dream up for St. Paddy's Day. At least Arnold's already dressed....
Loving this festive series, thanks Guy!
Glad you enjoy it!
I just made a samavar of tea and here you are! Ace.
I felt it wanted to go up towards the end? I loved it a soon as the keyharp (nyckelharp!) was playing. Really lovely.
Nice. I'm going to have to play around with this idea. ;)
great
For me, this sounds more like the Scandinavian players and singers had a bit too much Christmas punch before recording. So, for them, it sounded great. :-( Nice work Guy.
Lovely! I kept hearing a concert harp flowing through this in my mind.
Celtic harp maybe
Indeed.
Which headphones do used ? HD600?
shift r = capture midi Guy.
Or other record button which also captures missed recordings
Will Arnold get his own theme?
Yep, the people demand an encore to this series: dinosaur christmas!
Defo 🦖 A kind of John Williams with a jingly vibe.
Ill speak to his agent
Certainly evokes a bleak Icelandic or maybe even Faroese, post covid noir.
Post covid noir! There's a new one
