My experience with Air M1 has also been awesome. Battery life is excellent. Almost 3 years since I purchased and this beast is ready for any task. If I remember, this was the only laptop that Apple had priced aggressively. I second whatever you said in the video.

Still using Mac Air 2017 variant. Lags sometimes in video editing (imovie) and other heavy tasks. But runs like makkhan when surfing internet or working in normal ppt word excel. Better than any mid range windows laptop.

Sir i have this MacBook Air M1 and i m a musician, so most of the time i have to do heavy works on this and i can tell u that it still runs smoothly as of today and i bought it at its release.
this is still the BEAST of the M chip macs so far, even after the release of the M3 macs!

oh bhai when i had my intel macbook i was banging my head like but after i jumped to my m1 air for virtulization coding and hevay work even i am using this as a base variant i am just loving it still a beast i am gong to use till college right now a student 13 year old but amazing and a very good experience and i also do video esiting for reels and youtube but i feel that my m1 can do all my job with no laggg! my favorite macbook of all time the old macbook i used was a 2017 intel macbook air with lot of logic board failures and multiple repairs and a lit of lagg i had a bad experience.

I wanted to purchase this particular model for so long but couldn’t able to but I still found it a value for money. Only concern is that It launched in 2020 and next year it will complete 5 years. Apple Inc. says that their laptops also get software updates for 5 years. So is this a still worth if someone wants to purchase it today? I know these machines have superb lifespan as I’ve seen some users do use 10-12 years old MacBooks but I’m concerned about their software updates. Also Apple has officially stopped making and selling these so it is hard to find higher ram like 16 gb or more from other resellers, they only have base variants. If you can answer to this please share. 🙏🏼

One thing that nobody talks about is the cost of repairing in case of Macbook M1
In case of of apple care + the subscription itself costs rs 17000 for 36 months
and the prices of servicing and repairing varies accordingly if you subscribe for apple care + or not
the cost of repairing are as follows with and without the apple care+
display repairing = rs 34500 without apple care +
with apple care + your display cost is recovered fully but the service charge is rs 8500
in case your charger gets stretched or stops working it will cost you rs 3200+
the good quality dongle that you need to purchase in order to access hdmi port or usb port with high speed data transfer rate costs rs 3000
in case of any touchpad or keyboard issue the replacement cost is rs 18000 and with apple care+ the cost is 5500
so the price point that this laptop is being sold at is just a trap for middle class population so that when they face any minute issue in the device they will be forced to pay a hefty amount on repairing and thats how apple earns the profit
just imagine in any windows laptop the displays are available in offline markets at around 4000 or the original display can cost from 8000 to 12000 at max
but in case of apple, the display itself is 50% the cost of the laptop i.e. 34500
so its a kind suggestion, if in future you wont be able to pay the hefty money for servicing and repairing then, purchasing Macbook M1 is not worth it for you

Before this I was having Dell’s G3, i7 intel H series and nvidia 1650ti 4GB graphic card. Purchased at 1.02 lakh.
And now this 90k m1 mac beats it fluently. I purchased it in 2022.
My reason for purchasing a base variant bcz it was my first mac and also resell value of base variant is excellent.
