  • One of my favorite little ultrabooks just got a refresh. This is the Razer Blade Stealth 2020 with a GTX 1650 Ti GPU in it along with some other nice bumps in the specs which we’ll talk about in a sec.
For now, Razer sent me a Razer Blade Stealth 2020 to borrow so let’s go through it in this complete walkthrough. Let's get to it.

You’ll be lucky to get 3 years out of a Windows machine before it dies and I guarantee you’ll need to reset the laptop at least once in your ownership. Windows doesn’t “just work”. Alex Surber I’m so confused. It’s beside the point whether or not AMD makes screens (obviously not, intel doesn’t either). The Ryzen 4000 series CPUs are unstoppable with their insane performance at low TDP. I’m simply suggesting that any Intel powered laptop being released in 2020 will either have worse performance than one released with an AMD CPU, or worse battery life.

Had 2 Razer Blade 15 2018 models. First had nasty coil while plugged and it had loose keyboard keys. RMA'd it and got a new one which developed 3 dead pixels (within a span of like 2 weeks) and had the battery swell up right after the 1 year warranty expired (go figure). Friend of mine had one as well which wouldn't read hard drives plugged into the USB port. His also had significant backlight bleed on bottom and faced BSOD with displayport when plugging it in to an external monitor. I've since then switched to an Eluktronics Mag 15 and couldn't be happier. Yeah it might not look as good as a Razer product (but its still made of magnesium) but have had ZERO issues with it. Not to mention the keyboard puts any Razer laptop to shame.

Thanks for the review! I’m looking for a replacement for my MBP 13”, it will be for work and some casual gaming, nothing competitive. I’m between the 13” stealth and the 15”. I was wondering what kind of gaming the 13” can handle. Will a game like assassins creed run on it or do I have to go to the 15”?
    Thanks!

And a build quality that makes $400 laptops look like close relatives, the blade stealth is THE laptop for someone who actually goes places because it's "built like a tank". The G14 is neat as the premier portable gaming laptop, but it isn't the gaming ultrabook/ultraportable given it's reliance on a brick and build quality.

It's very difficult to sort through all the available models on the official Razer site. And it looks like if a buyer is not careful, they'll accidentally select the 2019 models instead.
Could you break down all the available models for us? The 13" Razer Blade subtitled 'Stealth' (refreshed in 2020) is out now for purchase? But the 15" Razer Blade (coming May 2020) are not yet released right?
And there seems to also be discussion between base and advanced models. But Razer doesn't designate which one the user is looking at on their customization/configuration page.

me too, bought one for 1200 couple weeks ago. I'm keeping it; not worth upgrading for gddr6 only. The cpu you can make run at 25 watts by unlocking the bios and the faster refresh is just gonna be a bigger hit on battery, so basically the only true upgrade of the new one is the gddr6...not worth like 600 bucks more
