Personally a huge fan of razer products, I even own the 2017 stealth myself, though while I love the design overhaul of the blade 15, I feel they should have kept some of the trademark features to justify the price a little more. My model has a 3200x1800 touchscreen, 16gb RAM , lightup back logo and the individual key chroma and my model only cost 100€ more than the starting price of the new base model (without the MX150)...
Ohnli You but it makes the battery life worse.. and on a ultra portable laptop battery life is very important. If you are looking for a 1080p touch I would recommend the ASUS Zenbook 13 that is 1000$ brand new and comes with 8th gen core i5 and a mx150. It’s a cheaper just as good laptop that has battery life around 7-8 hours
I'd still go with the Matebook X Pro if you have the flexibility to get one instead. Basically the same machine with the exception of the price. The Matebook i7 8th gen is $1350 if you buy it from Microsoft using student discount (which is easy to sign up for even if you're not a student) and the 4k version of the new Stealth is $1899. You also get that extra half inch screen with the Matebook which is pretty considerable when your talking about only roughly 13 inches to begin with. If you plan on buying an eGPU then you have to go with the Razer Blade for the 4 PCI-e lanes. The big downer about the Matebook is that it only is a 2 lane preventing you from playing those demanding games with an eGPU although you still can hook one up and play despite popular belief. Quite a few videos out their comparing 2 and 4 lanes. Depending on the specific game it may or may not be a big a noticeable difference.

what about the thermals on the xps?
@@SteveRunciman
New XPS 13 has good thermals while gaming because of the dual fans and that space-grade insulator metal. It's still an ultrabook though, so if gaming is a priority, definitely go with a dedicated gaming laptop.
@@Lucky8s what about GPU on the XPS?

Is it available with OS High Sierra?
